In this episode, I sit down with Demetri Wiley for one of the most honest conversations about love, faith, pain, and healing. We talk about everything—from navigating relationships in the public eye to protecting sacred parts of your life, like the people you love most.Demetri opens up about surviving depression, a suicide attempt, homelessness at 18, and how becoming a father changed everything for him. We dive into what intentional dating really looks like—sending flowers across states, choosing consistency over love-bombing, and learning that real alignment comes down to values, not chemistry. This conversation reminded me that sometimes the pain you go through is exactly what prepares you to walk in purpose, love deeper, and trust God more. Please leave a review , if this episode spoke to you! For exclusive bonus content, behind-the-scenes vlogs, a place connect with the LTTA FAM plus more join the LTTA app community at LTTA.app and unlock your invite today! Audio Fam, since you listen to the audio every Monday , don’t forget to go watch the YouTube on Tuesday! This is Episode 100… and baby, we made it two years. I recorded this right after church, lit in the Holy Spirit, reflecting on Pastor Darius Daniels’ Prayerology series and the reminder that prayer isn’t a fire extinguisher — it’s intimacy with God. From rededicating LTTA back to God, to officially stepping into my full name Braelyn Simone Greenfield, to publicly apologizing for moments I bled on this mic from a broken place — this episode is raw, emotional, and honest.I talk about how I used to equate purpose with platform, followers, and validation — and how God tore that idea down. Purpose isn’t arenas or accolades. It’s obedience in the “minuscule” moments. It’s smiling at someone on the BeltLine. It’s having 12 women fly in for a live taping and realizing impact isn’t about numbers — it’s about alignment. I also share the financial ups and downs, the fear of leadership, and how favor follows obedience — not ego. This episode is about identity, surrender, community, and trying this again… but this time with Jesus. In this episode, I’m recording my intro from the Bahamas on the FemmeLand cruise, getting ready to host a live LTTA podcast on the boat, and reflecting on the season I’m walking out of — what I call blind, blissful ignorance — and the season I’m walking into: spiritual sight and awareness. I talk honestly about what it means to finally see clearly — to see myself, to see others for who they truly are, and to confront the ugly parts in my own heart instead of pretending they’re not there. Then I sit down with my sister Serayah McNeill, and we go deep. From being homeless right before booking Empire, to living in hotels, to breaking survival cycles, to navigating imposter syndrome, therapy, comparison, love, motherhood, and healing inside of a relationship — this conversation is raw, layered, and honest. We talk about shedding old identities, letting go of comparison, releasing self-inflicted pressure, and choosing purpose over performance. This episode is about moving from survival to thriving — and doing the inner work that makes the thriving sustainable. In this solo episode, I get real about what it looks like to grow in private when nobody is clapping for you. I open up about being off social media for almost six months, bulk recording episodes, walking into meetings in my “raw” natural state, and realizing how much of my confidence used to be tied to validation. From sitting in a producer’s office questioning my slick-back bun and sauna sweats, to asking myself why I feel the urge to post every win, I had to confront whether I’m disciplined… or just addicted to applause.I talk about replacing posting with journaling, prayer, and obedience. About not announcing the goal — just finishing. About fasting without telling anyone. About going to the gym at 6 a.m. with no camera. About letting God build me in the prayer room instead of on a platform. This episode is about moving in swift obedience, walking in true authority, and becoming the woman God called me to be — even when nobody sees it.Please leave a review , if this episode spoke to you!For exclusive bonus content, behind-the-scenes vlogs, a place connect with the LTTA FAM plus more, join the LTTA app community at LTTA.app and unlock your invite today!Audio Fam, since you listen to the audio every Monday, don’t forget to go watch the YouTube on Tuesday! In this episode, I sit down with Ben Reilly and we talk honestly about what it really looks like to walk in your calling while still figuring life out. From navigating the pressure of being a full-time artist and the “what have you done for me lately?” mentality, to learning taxes, finances, and identity in the industry, this conversation is about staying grounded when the world keeps moving the goalpost. We get into creativity beyond music — acting, directing, cooking — and how God can use every passion you have, not just the one people expect. Ben opens up about his relationship with his mom, church hurt, separating God from people, and choosing to create from authenticity instead of validation. In this episode, I’m riding the high of just wrapping my first film — producing, co-directing, writing, and starring in an LTTA production — and reflecting on what it feels like to start something from a small seed and watch it grow. From DM’ing a creator I admired, to collaborating for six months, to standing on set with people like Pretty V, DC Young Fly, and Saraya, I talk about trusting your creativity, betting on yourself, and letting joy lead instead of pressure. Then I sit down with Durelle and Samantha Bailey, a married couple whose story stopped me in my tracks. We unpack childhood trauma, abuse, anxiety, and trust — from Durelle surviving homelessness, family betrayal, and being institutionalized as a teenager, to Samantha growing up in a loving home while carrying silent stress and responsibility. Together, we talk about how two people from completely different backgrounds learned to communicate, heal, trust, and build a Christ-centered marriage rooted in peace instead of chaos. This episode is raw, emotional, funny, and deeply healing — especially if you’re navigating relationships, faith, or learning how to stay in your own lane. Please leave a review , if this episode spoke to you!For exclusive bonus content, behind-the-scenes vlogs, a place connect with the LTTA FAM plus more, join the LTTA app community at LTTA.app and unlock your invite today!Audio Fam, since you listen to the audio every Monday, don’t forget to go watch the YouTube on Tuesday! In this solo episode, I get real about entering a new season by stripping everything back — from my hair, nails, and beauty routines to my finances, discipline, and faith. I open up about budgeting forcing me into my “natural girl era,” returning home to Dallas under difficult circumstances, and realizing that chasing purpose without balance can cost you time with the people who matter most.I also share what God has been teaching me in solitude: staying off social media, building discipline in private, waking up early for the gym, and truly studying the Bible for myself — starting with the book of John. From the miracle of water turning into wine, to the reminder to “fill the barrels first,” to learning why obedience always comes before breakthrough, this episode is about letting go of old versions of yourself and trusting that when God restores something, it comes back better than before. In this episode, I sit down with actor Shannon Wallace, and we have one of the most raw, honest conversations I’ve had on this podcast. We talk about grief, losing his younger brother to gun violence, finding healing through art, and how acting became a place where he could release emotions he couldn’t always express in real life. Shannon opens up about relationships, boundaries, faith, truth-seeking, therapy, and why peace — not validation — is his priority in this season. Na'im shares powerful insights on raising a daughter, co-parenting with intention, protecting children emotionally, navigating friendships, dating with honesty, and why validation, assumptions, and insecurity can quietly sabotage relationships. We also dive into his journey working with Kevin Hart and Tyler Perry, how opportunities truly come full circle, and why staying grounded matters more than fame. This conversation is thoughtful, funny, and deeply human — especially for anyone learning how to set boundaries, communicate better, heal childhood wounds, and grow into the next version of themselves. In this episode, I’m stepping into 2026 with a new perspective — one rooted in healing, reconnection, and intention. I share why this season is about watering relationships, reconnecting with family and old friends, and truly loving people while we still have time. As I reflect on loss, growth, and maturity, I talk honestly about how therapy, faith, and rededicating my life to Christ have shifted what actually matters to me now. Then I sit down with my brother Emmanuel Hudson, and we go deep into faith, obedience, and what it really looks like to rededicate your life to God. Eman shares powerful moments from his journey — from reading the Bible for himself for the first time, to understanding God’s character through Scripture, to standing firm in his convictions in Hollywood by refusing to compromise his faith. This conversation is raw, funny, convicting, and full of truth about choosing obedience, reading the Word for yourself, and waking up spiritually in a world full of distractions. In this episode, I open up about my word for 2026 — Divine Assignment — and how this season isn’t about chasing platforms, money, or validation, but aligning every gift God gave me with His purpose for my life.I get real about fear, starting again after disappointment, and why past failures can’t be the reason we stop trying. From launching the LTTA app after losing nearly $40,000 the first time, to building discipline through uncomfortable habits like ice baths, I break down grace vs. discipline, why you can’t bully yourself into growth, and how trying again — slowly, consistently, and privately — is what creates real transformation. In this episode, I reflect on closing out the year grounded in family, faith, and obedience, and why my dad’s sermon reminded me that with God, we don’t just get one do-over — we get endless grace.I talk honestly about overgiving, discernment, and how sometimes helping people without boundaries can actually hurt us more than it helps them. Then I sit down with Funny Marco, and our conversation goes everywhere it needs to go — from gratitude and breaking generational cycles, to neurodivergence, parenting, empathy, money, and purpose. Marco shares raw stories about growing up with very little, losing his father young, learning how to be a present dad, and why he believes gratitude, not money, is what keeps him grounded. This episode is real, funny, uncomfortable, and deeply human — the kind of conversation that makes you stop and re-evaluate how you love, give, and show up in the world. In this episode, I open up about why changing my TikTok name to Braelyn Greenfield had the internet spiraling, and I finally break down the truth behind that viral clip where everyone swore I picked “a trillion dollars over Jesus.” I explain why my faith sees daily intimacy as more valuable than a one-time 10-minute moment — and how scripture backs the heart behind what I said, even if the internet missed the theology behind it .Then, my guest Nzinga Imani joins me, and we dive deep into confidence, body image, identity, and the moments in life that force you to grow. She shares everything — from getting called “humongous” by her nephew, to navigating plus-size roles in Hollywood, to losing everything in a house fire and rebuilding her entire life and career from scratch. In this episode, I open up about my own transition into a new season — from changing my name online to walking confidently in who God says I am. I share the real story behind that viral “10 minutes with Jesus vs. a trillion dollars” moment, and why it was never about choosing money over Jesus, but choosing relationship over a one-time encounter .Then, my girl Jade Godbolt joins me, and we dive deep into healing, obedience, marriage, covering, and the painful but beautiful journey of letting go of the old versions of ourselves. In this episode, I sit down with the legendary Kym Whitley, and y’all… she poured into me in a way I didn’t even know I needed. We talked about wisdom, discernment, confidence, building a life outside of your career, and what it means to “be young but think old.” When she told me to stop wasting time trying to fix what doesn’t need to be fixed and to build my wonderful life now, it hit me so deeply. We laughed, we talked about men, friendship, boundaries, purpose, and learning to trust your intuition. And Kym gave me the kind of auntie-level truth that makes you sit up straight — like why you need older women in your life, why confidence must come from God and not the internet, and how to stop letting fear convince you you’re going to “miss out.” This episode is full of wisdom, humor, and heart. Please leave a review , if this episode spoke to you!For exclusive bonus content, behind-the-scenes vlogs, a place connect with the LTTA FAM plus more join the LTTA app community at LTTA.app and unlock your invite today!Audio Fam, since you listen to the audio every Monday , don’t forget to go watch the YouTube on Tuesday! In this episode, I sit down with my friend King Bach, and we get into everything — from grief and healing to ambition, dating, legacy, and building something from scratch. Hearing him talk about navigating the loss of his mother while still showing up for life and work really touched me, and I loved when he said he lets the emotions come and then keeps going — that level of honesty is rareWe also talked about purpose, entrepreneurship, shooting his first comedy special, and the wild journey from Vine to major films. I cracked up hearing his stories about dating while being a workaholic, but the real motivation came when he said sometimes you just have to be “a little dumb and fearless” to chase your dreams anyway. This episode is funny, honest, inspiring, and full of reminders that you can rebuild, reimagine, and restart at any point. In this episode, I sit down with my girls Loren Lott and Jazmine Robinson, and we get REAL about friendship, discernment, faith, and dating in this season of our lives. We talked about how their bond has stayed solid through prayer, grace, and honesty, and I loved when Loren said she had to take her worth “out of the casting director’s hands and put it back in her Father’s” — that line blessed me so much. We laughed about going on dates, crushes, boundaries, and why saying “no” can be a whole spiritual gift. And of course, we had to talk about comparison, trusting God’s timing, and learning to love the season you're in. This episode felt like girl talk, therapy, and a devotional all in one — I know it’s going to bless you. In this episode, I sat down with the powerful and anointed Dr. Jay Barnett, and y’all… whew. This conversation went far beyond what I expected. We talked about healing, wholeness, calling, and obedience — the kind that breaks you down before it builds you back up. Dr. Jay shared how God told him to be quiet during one of the darkest public storms of his life, and how that silence became his greatest act of obedience. Hearing him say, “Obedience is best displayed when you don’t understand,” stopped me in my tracks. We got real about relationships too — why being single in purpose is harder than being lonely, why you can’t pour from an empty cup, and how discernment saves your calling. He said something that shook me: “You can’t be a whale connected to a swimming pool.” That hit home. Because I’ve been there — trying to shrink to fit what wasn’t meant for me.We also dove into what it means to move from healing to wholeness, how to protect your peace when you’re constantly pouring into others, and why it’s okay to let God be your companion while He’s preparing the right one. This episode reminded me that obedience, surrender, and alignment aren’t passive — they’re power moves. If this conversation spoke to your spirit, share it with a friend who’s walking through their own season of letting go. In this episode, I sit down with the incredible Brittney Moses — a women’s coach and mental health content creator — to talk about something most of us struggle with but rarely name out loud: people-pleasing and self-abandonment.We went deep into how women, especially Black women, are taught to carry everyone else’s load and call it strength — even when it’s slowly breaking us down. Brittney opened my eyes to the “fawn response,” a trauma reaction where we make ourselves small to feel safe. That hit home for me because I’ve been there — walking on eggshells, avoiding conflict, thinking silence kept the peace when it really just kept me stuck. We talked about the guilt that comes with saying no, how to rebuild self-trust after years of ignoring your intuition, and what it means to live beyond society’s checkboxes — those invisible rules about when to marry, have kids, or “be successful.” Brittney's story of becoming a teen mom, going back to UCLA, remarrying later in life, and defining success on her own terms reminded me that God’s timeline is never off — it’s divine. In this episode, I sit down with my longtime friend and creator Carey, and we get real about what it means to chase dreams, lose yourself, and find purpose again. This conversation took me back to our early content days in 2016, filming skits in garages and laughing our way through the struggle — only now, we’re unpacking what was really happening behind those smiles.Carey opened up about the hidden battles behind the comedy — sleeping on floors, losing his identity, rebuilding his faith, and realizing that legacy matters more than likes. What hit me most was when he said, “I lost my identity trying to be what my fans wanted me to be.” That line stopped me. Because haven’t we all been there — letting other people’s expectations rewrite who we are?We talked about money, faith, ego, and what it takes to build a creative life that’s rooted in truth instead of image. And somewhere between the laughter and tears, we both realized: the real flex isn’t fame. It’s peace. In this episode, I sit down with my friend and interior designer Jameelah Divine, whose story left me speechless. We started by talking about creating peaceful spaces through design—but it quickly became so much more. Jamila opened up about losing her daughter, rebuilding her life after heartbreak and trauma, and finding God again through unimaginable pain. She shared how she created “The Case Method”—a way to design both your home and your life with intention, clarity, and faith. What really hit me was her story about her husband’s near-death experience—a moment that tested her faith like never before—and how she found peace in surrendering to God’s plan, even when she didn’t understand it. This episode reminded me that healing isn’t linear, and that peace doesn’t come from perfection—it’s something we cultivate, step by step, with faith and purpose. If this conversation touched your heart, please subscribe, rate, and share the show with someone who needs encouragement today. On this episode of Let’s Try This Again, I sit down with Jalyka —a true creative, singer, and trailblazer—who radiates authenticity both online and in person. We talk about stepping into a new era, owning our uniqueness, and boldly loving God even when it’s countercultural. From being homeschooled and learning to grow “wild and free,” to facing criticism about modesty and body image as a Christian influencer, Jalyka shares how she navigates conviction versus shame, and how faith, contentment, and gratitude transformed her journey. We get into the struggles with procrastination, stepping into obedience, and why “growing in public” is a calling instead of a choice. This week on Let’s Try This Again, I sit down with the amazing Ella Halikas for one of the most openhearted conversations yet. We dive deep into childhood resilience, the impact of family trauma, body confidence, and fighting to love ourselves beyond what the world wants us to be. Ella gets real about navigating her parents’ brutal divorce, losing her brother to addiction, and how being the “fixer” as a child shaped her healing journey. We laugh about crazy family moments, get honest about dealing with internet trolls, and uplift those who feel pressure to fit in. Through every twist—therapy breakthroughs, plus-size modeling setbacks, and letting go of the “B. Simone” persona—I’m reminded that our stories matter, not just for us but for everyone walking a similar path. No matter what season you’re in, this episode reminds you: your pain, joy, and growth are all valid, and you never have to walk it alone. This week on Let’s Try This Again, I open up about faith, family, and trusting the journey with the amazing Dannella and her two powerhouse daughters, Dajeul and Dayla. We get real about life’s pivots—from leaving Mississippi in the wake of a tough divorce, to a viral Instagram video that changed everything, and the wild road trip that landed them in LA with nothing but faith, family, and a tiny U-Haul. I share how I navigated heartbreak, the ache of losing my mother, and building a relationship with God through doubt, setbacks, and unexpected blessings. Dannella shares wisdom from opening her new beauty salon, while her daughters talk about adulthood, sacrifice, and how staying honest with yourself is the real graduation. We talk about everything from her big leap of faith moving from South Carolina to LA (with a master’s in accounting!), what it’s really like being an OG influencer, staying the course through nearly a decade of "no’s," and getting vulnerable about heartbreak, waiting, and letting God lead the way. Jasmine opens up about finding love in LA, healing from past relationships, and the real growth that comes from enduring tough times. We celebrate her new role on “Churchy,” the faith it took to weather seasons of rejection, and how powerful it is to keep going, embrace community, and trust your own timing. Welcome back to Let’s Try This Again—I’m your host, B Simone, and this week I’m joined by my talented friend Diamond Batiste—a filmmaker, director, writer, and someone who’s become a real brother to me in this industry. We get all the way real about what it means to grow as creators in today’s oversaturated world, how consistency and joy are key (not just the numbers), and why being true to your vision is what separates you from the crowd. We dive into Diamond’s honest testimony of falling in and out of faith, from reading the Bible in the Army to going through cycles of drifting, chasing love, dealing with abandonment, and realizing the real work starts with radical transparency—with yourself and others. Diamond shares how therapy (and being a Black man in therapy!) unlocked his next level, and how becoming a father and seeking a new relationship with God became his “try again” moment. We laugh about childhood, flirting with the line between authenticity and honesty, failing forward in relationships, and the struggle to create safe spaces for men (and women) to tell the truth without fear of penalty. I open up, too, about the power of community, the need for graceful pivots, and how I’m embracing budgeting, DIY, and building a business that glorifies God. This episode is for anyone holding themselves back, struggling with old patterns, or scared to be their full, vulnerable self. Whether you’re a creative, a dreamer, or just trying to level up in life, our stories remind you: growth is messy, failure isn’t fatal, and healing always starts with telling yourself (and others) the truth. //SPONSORS//BetterHelp: Our listeners get 10% off their first month at BetterHelp.com/BSIMONEPODLTTA APP: The App is available NOW!! Welcome back to Let’s Try This Again—I’m your host, B Simone, and this episode is both real and refreshingly honest as I pull back the curtain on my own journey with hustle culture, rest, and self-discovery. I get vulnerable about how hard it’s been to slow down after years of being in constant “go mode”—from juggling an at-home podcast setup (y’all, production is NOT for the weak!) to taking real breaks from social media and learning how to be still without feeling guilty. I share what I learned during my week with a friend in Kansas, how witnessing the daily grit of single moms inspired me, and why taking time to reset is actually a game changer—not a setback. PLUS, I open up about a surprise date that made me reflect on femininity, friendship, and my desire to be truly seen for who I am. Whether you’re struggling to rest, navigating your own self-worth, or just need permission to date from a place of wholeness, this episode is packed with relatable stories, insight, and motivational takeaways you can use right now.//SPONSORS//Arya: Go to Arya.Fyi/trythisagain and get 15% off your first order.Liquid IV: Squeeze the most out of your Summer with Liquid I.V. Welcome back to Let’s Try This Again—I’m your host, B Simone, and this episode is extra special because we’re coming to you straight from beautiful, healing Bali! I sit down with Angelica, co-owner of Hotel Sages, the first Black woman-owned hotel in Bali, and together we get real about the journeys that brought us both here. We dive into what it means to find and create sanctuary—spaces for women to heal, connect, and thrive—whether it’s through my LTTA Connect retreats or Angelica’s journey from California and DC to Bali, building a business, navigating family relationships, and even embracing unexpected love.We talk openly about childhood, step-family dynamics, divorce, pressure to fulfill others’ expectations, and the boldness it takes to live for yourself instead of just for those around you. Angelica shares how she and her partner came to Bali only to have their investor disappear—and how faith, community, and family support brought their dream alive anyway. I open up about using my pain, public scrutiny, and sisterhood to fuel resilience, and how creating real connection—both at home and especially in international healing spaces—has become my calling. This episode is full of laugh-out-loud moments, deep healing talk, business gems, and practical wisdom for anyone learning to let go of people-pleasing, stop asking for permission, and go where their spirit calls. This week on Let’s Try This Again, I’m your host B Simone, and I’m inviting you deep into my solo journey of surrender, discipline, and stepping fully into purpose—even when the weight feels heavy. Filmed before a wave of backlash in my own life, this episode felt prophetic in every way: as I spoke encouragement to you, I was unknowingly pouring into myself for what was to come. I open up about my time at Tasha Cobbs’ Inner Glow conference, the anxiety of performing for a new audience, and the power of having someone as anointed as Tasha truly see and pray for me. We’ll get raw about feeling unqualified, not waiting to “clean up” before you share your testimony, and realizing that God's anointing doesn't need to look like anyone else’s.We talk about my 10-day water fast, those breaking points where all you can pray is “help me Jesus,” and the courage it takes to obey seemingly small convictions—like picking up a water bottle at the airport. I challenge you to ask: what’s your “water bottle” moment, and where might disobedience or doubt be keeping you from your next step? This episode is packed with honest encouragement for anyone tired of being strong, feeling unseen in a season of solitude, or wrestling with letting go of what no longer serves you. From practical gratitude exercises to brutal truths about fighting your flesh and honoring your calling, I hold nothing back. If you’re ready for a dose of faith, realness, and a fire to pick up that next baton—this one’s for you.//SPONSORS//Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau: Visit www.FindYourMiami.comMint Mobile: This year, skip breaking a sweat AND breaking the bank. This week on Let’s Try This Again, I’m your host B Simone, and I sit down with the unfiltered, hilarious, and deeply resilient Tacarra Williams. This episode is all about finding your way through public scrutiny, heartbreak, single motherhood, and reclaiming your joy—one imperfect, courageous step at a time. We talk honestly about what it feels like when your personal pain becomes public fodder, and how Tacarra had to fight for her peace after losing her ex-husband, facing judgment, and raising her daughter in the spotlight. She opens up about the anxiety that comes from stepping into rooms where people know your story, how social media robbed her of being able to grieve privately, and how she finally decided to ask for help and let her daughter live with her grandparents so she could refill her own cup.We don’t shy away from the truth: Tacarra gets candid about forgiving people who hurt her (even when she didn’t want to), the power of solitude to reveal your own patterns, and learning how to love herself after feeling empty. I share my own battles with anxiety and self-doubt, and we both laugh about how accountability with ourselves is the realest work of all—whether it’s pouring water on your plate to stop overeating, or finally letting go of perfectionism just to make your bed every morning. If you’re in a season of isolation, struggling to let go, or terrified of the opinions of others, this conversation is for you. It’s proof that you can lose your voice and find it again, that vulnerability is strength, and that stepping back into your purpose is possible—even when you think your story is over. Tune in for a raw, funny, and soul-stirring episode about healing, grace, and giving yourself permission to try again.//Sponsors//Simply Pop: Go to https://www.coca-cola.com/us/en/brands/simply/simply-pop-podcast-tour to find out where you can try Simply Pop!BetterHelp: Our listeners get 10% off their first month at BetterHelp.com/BSIMONEPODArya: Go to Arya.Fyi/trythisagain and get 15% off your first order.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Welcome back to Let’s Try This Again—I’m your host, B Simone, and this episode is one of the most honest, vulnerable, and spiritually charged conversations I’ve ever had. I’m joined by the incredible Mignon, actress, creative, and all-around powerhouse, as we get real about the journey to self-acceptance, the weight of spiritual warfare, and how success often looks nothing like what we imagined. We open up about body image struggles, generational trauma, and the pressure of living up to expectations—Mignon shares how her journey with weight and self-worth began in childhood, shaped by family and early experiences of trauma, and how she’s learned to fight for her confidence and peace in an industry that’s quick to judge. We talk about what it means to “fight for everything”—from your health to your purpose—and how sometimes the biggest battles are spiritual, not physical. Mignon shares her story of living out of her car, hustling behind the scenes in Hollywood, and finally landing her breakout role on “Sistas” after years of setbacks, faith, and relentless perseverance. We dive deep into the difference between jealousy and envy, the importance of discernment, and why loving yourself (and others) through pain is the ultimate act of growth. If you’ve ever felt worn down by life, doubted your calling, or needed a reminder that your story matters, this episode is for you. Tune in for laughter, wisdom, and the kind of motivation that reminds you: you are enough, you are worthy, and you’re never alone on this journey.//SPONSORS// Skims: Shop my favorite bras and underwear at SKIMS.comLiquid IV: Squeeze the most out of your Summer with Liquid I.V. Welcome back to Let’s Try This Again—I’m your host, B Simone, and this episode is all about stepping into your power, embracing honesty, and learning how to love yourself (and others) with intention. I’m joined by the brilliant Shan, a certified sexologist and relationship expert, and together we get real about confidence, self-discovery, and what it actually takes to build a life—and love—that feels authentic and fulfilling. We dive into the behind-the-scenes of my BET Awards look, but more importantly, how that moment represented a shift from “faking it till you make it” to truly feeling bold, beautiful, and confident from the inside out. Shan and I talk about the importance of knowing what you want in a partner, why your “romantic wish list” should be short and intentional, and how being honest with yourself (and others) is the foundation for real connection. I open up about my own journey—how I’ve sometimes focused on what’s missing in my love life instead of embracing the abundance that’s already here, and how I’m learning to ask for what I need, set boundaries, and trust that what’s meant for me is already on its way.We also get into the nitty-gritty of healing from toxic relationships, rebuilding confidence, and the power of surrounding yourself with people who see and celebrate the real you. Shan shares her own story of moving on from a manipulative relationship, finding love again, and why loving yourself—and being honest about your needs—is the ultimate act of self-care. If you’ve ever struggled with self-doubt, felt stuck in old patterns, or needed a reminder that you’re worthy of love just as you are, this episode is for you. Welcome back to Let’s Try This Again—I’m your host, B Simone, and this episode is extra special because I’m sitting down with my longtime friend and OG in the hair and beauty game, Khat. We get real about what it means to evolve, shed old skins, and keep growing—even when it feels like the world is changing around you. I open up about how my own journey of trying again—whether it’s starting a new podcast season or pivoting in business—has really been about listening to that inner voice that says, “Get up, do it again, but this time with God and the wisdom you’ve learned.”Khat and I reminisce about how we met over a decade ago, hustling in the Atlanta hair scene, and how we’ve both stayed connected by committing to growth, even when it meant letting go of people or situations that no longer served us. We talk about the guilt that comes with outgrowing relationships and environments, and how sometimes what feels like grounding can actually be an anchor holding you back. Khat shares how her gift for pouring into others has shaped her, but also taught her the importance of not dimming her own light—a lesson I’m learning too, especially as someone who’s always tried to make sure everyone else is shining. We get into the spiritual side of growth—how connecting with nature and holistic practices has helped us both heal and evolve. I share how I’m a “hug-a-tree type of bitch,” and how taking my shoes off and feeling the grass under my feet grounds me in ways nothing else can. Khat talks about her recent trip to Bali and how travel and new experiences have deepened her spiritual journey. We both agree: your gifts—vision, hustle, faith—are already inside you; you just have to water them and let them grow.If you’ve ever felt stuck, guilty for outgrowing people, or just needed a reminder to keep shining your light, this episode is for you. Welcome back to Let’s Try This Again—I’m your host, B Simone, and this episode is extra special because I’m sitting down with my longtime friend and behind-the-scenes powerhouse, Jazmin. If you’ve ever wondered what it really takes to build a brand, keep a business afloat, and find the right team, this conversation is for you. We get real about our journey together—from building websites before B Simone Beauty was even a thing, to weathering the storm of losing team members and starting over from scratch. I share how, after resigning from our previous venture, we went from a team of eight or ten down to just the two of us, and how that season of transition tested our resilience and commitment to our vision. We talk about the importance of trusting the process, even when it feels like you’re losing everything. I remember calling Jaz from the Virgin Islands, feeling anxious and unsure about starting the podcast, but her belief in me gave me the courage to try again. We also get honest about setting boundaries in business, especially when working with friends, and how crucial it is to have people around you who not only have the skills but truly believe in your vision. Jazmin keeps me grounded—when I’m dreaming big about arena tours and conferences, she’s the one who helps me build the solid foundation to make those dreams a reality.I open up about learning to delegate, to release control, and to trust my team—like this morning, when I was exhausted and realized it was okay to let the team handle things while I took care of myself. We talk about how building a business is never a straight line—it’s full of pivots, tough decisions, and moments of gratitude for the people who stick with you through it all. Welcome back to Let’s Try This Again—I’m your host, B Simone, and this episode is straight from the heart, recorded right after the BET Awards in LA, while I’m still in my event outfit, unwinding on the couch with my best friend, Shekinah. I open up about what it means to be in a season of real confidence—not just “faking it till you make it,” but truly feeling bold and secure in who I am. I share how, on the red carpet, I looked every interviewer in the eye and spoke my truth without hesitation, and how that’s a real sign for me that I’m coming out of a darker season and stepping into my power. We get real about the challenges behind the scenes—like pushing through a 10-day water fast (which had me crying from exhaustion and spiritual hunger), and the pressure of building a legacy app while watching my finances shift from liquid cash to assets and investments. I talk about how, even when it’s hard, I remind myself that what we’re building is for the long haul—like a crock pot, not a microwave. Shekinah keeps me grounded, reminding me that my words and vision are powerful, and that whatever I say will happen, because I have the faith to make it so.This episode is for anyone who’s ever felt the weight of chasing a dream, doubted their confidence, or needed a reminder that breakthrough comes with both tears and celebration. Welcome back to Let’s Try This Again—I’m your host, B Simone, and in this episode, I’m sitting down with one of my favorite people, a relationship coach and magnetic matchmaker, Spicy Mari, who’s been a constant source of support and inspiration in my life. We get real about what it means to juggle motherhood, marriage, and entrepreneurship, especially when your world gets turned upside down by a new baby. Spicy Mari, who is a mom to a three-year-old, opens up about the beautiful chaos of toddlerhood and how becoming a mother stretched her in ways she never expected—like learning to put her own needs second and giving herself permission to slow down and focus on her child, even when her business was always her “first baby.”We talk about the challenges of keeping your relationship strong after having a child, and how easy it is to fall into the trap of comparing who’s doing more at home. Mari shares how therapy and honest conversations helped her navigate those tough moments, and why it’s so important to be intentional about filling your own cup, even when your schedule is packed and your energy is low. We also get into the difference between how women and men handle responsibilities—how women often take on more, not just because they have to, but because it matters to us in a way it just doesn’t for men. Whether you’re a mom, dreaming of motherhood, or just trying to keep your relationships healthy and balanced, this episode is packed with relatable stories, practical advice, and a whole lot of heart.Sponsors//Simply Pop: See what the fizz is all about! This week on Let’s Try This Again, I’m your host B Simone, and I’m joined by the legendary content creator and entrepreneur DeStorm Power. We get real about what it means to build something from the ground up, fight for your creative vision, and keep going even when the world doesn’t see the work behind the scenes. DeStorm opens up about his journey from singing in Baltimore R&B groups and running track, to becoming one of the first viral internet stars—before “influencer” was even a word.We dive deep into the story behind Zeus Network, how it started as a dream among friends, and the heartbreak of being cut out of something you helped build. DeStorm shares how he and his crew—including King Bach and others—put in the groundwork, brought in their communities, and launched shows that kept the lights on at Zeus, only to later feel sidelined and unrecognized. Hearing DeStorm talk about spending years and even a million dollars fighting for what he deserved was both sobering and motivating. It reminded me that sometimes, the people who help you build are the ones who get left out when the spotlight comes. We also talk about mental health—especially for men—and how important it is to ask for help, open up, and take care of yourself even while you’re hustling. DeStorm's honesty about the emotional toll of being “muted” and misunderstood hit home for me, and I know so many of you will relate to the pressure of having to smile and show up, even when you’re carrying so much behind the scenes. If you’ve ever felt overlooked, unappreciated, or just needed a reminder that your story matters, this episode is for you. This week on Let’s Try This Again, I’m your host B Simone, and I’m sitting down with the hilarious and inspiring Zainab Johnson. From the moment I discovered Zainab on social media—rocking her Bantu knots and dropping truth with every punchline—I knew I had to have her on the show. In this episode, we get real about what it’s like to break into stand-up comedy as a Black Muslim woman, and how sometimes the things that make us different become our superpowers.Zainab shares how she never saw women like herself represented in comedy or on TV growing up, and how that inspired her to become the role model she wished she’d had. She opens up about her first time on stage, admitting she thought she’d fail but wanted a good story to tell—only to discover she was actually good at it and wanted to try again the very next day. We laugh about the wild journey from open mics at hookah lounges to touring internationally, and how being brutally honest about her life—like growing up with 13 siblings, wearing a hijab as a kid, or experimenting with hair—became the heart of her comedy. We also dive into real talk about identity, faith, and self-acceptance. Zainab breaks down why she chose to stop wearing her hijab as a teen and how, as an entertainer, she’s on a mission to affirm the existence of young girls who don’t see themselves reflected in the media. We even get into the stigma around Black women and hair, and how owning your truth—whether it’s a flip-over weave or a shaved head—can be freeing and funny. If you’ve ever felt like the odd one out, doubted your path, or needed a reminder that your story matters, this episode is for you. This week on Let’s Try This Again, I sit down with the multi-talented artist Vic Mensa for a raw, honest conversation about sobriety, healing, and what it really takes to break free from addiction. I open up about my own struggles with food addiction, and Vic shares his journey of letting go of drugs, alcohol, and even unhealthy relationships with sex-getting real about the moments that forced him to change. He talks about the night he crashed his car while drunk and high on Molly, and how that wake-up call, paired with a powerful moment of prayer in a mosque, led him to finally listen when God gave him a second chance.Vic breaks down what sobriety means for him-not just abstaining from substances, but rebuilding his relationship with himself and others, including getting involved with Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous. We talk about the concept of anhedonia, or the inability to feel pleasure, and how years of chasing extreme highs left him feeling numb to everyday joys. Vic gets vulnerable about the guilt, shame, and darkness that came with addiction, and how, over time, he’s learned to find happiness in the simple moments again. If you’ve ever battled addiction in any form-or just felt stuck in a cycle you couldn’t break-this episode is for you. Vic’s story is motivating and relatable, reminding us that real change takes honesty, support, and a willingness to listen when life (or God) gives you a sign. This week on Let’s Try This Again, I’m your host B Simone, and I’m joined by my girl Jamie, a life coach who specializes in manifesting and mindset. In this episode, we get real about what it actually takes to manifest the life you want-whether it’s more money, a thriving business, or deep, meaningful relationships. Jamie breaks down her step-by-step approach to manifestation, starting with the most important question: What do you truly want? So many of us don’t even let ourselves dream big, or we get stuck chasing “ego desires” instead of the heart-led dreams God placed inside us.We talk about how your beliefs shape your reality, and Jamie shares how she helps clients identify the limiting beliefs that hold them back-like wanting a faithful partner but secretly believing “all men cheat.” I even walk through some of my own examples, like getting up at 6 a.m. to work out because I’m stepping into the version of myself who runs a multi-million-dollar business. Jamie’s process is practical and motivating: write down your desires, get honest about your limiting beliefs, and then ask yourself if those beliefs are really the ultimate truth. Spoiler: they never are! This episode is packed with actionable steps-like choosing new beliefs, taking inspired action, and tuning in to what God is telling you in prayer and meditation. Jamie also opens up about her own spiritual journey, finding balance between faith and the universe, and how she learned to trust her intuition again. If you’re ready to break through old patterns and become the person who actually lives the life you dream about, this conversation is for you. Grab a notebook-Jamie even gives us a free mini coaching session right on the podcast! This week on Let’s Try This Again, I’m your host B Simone, and I’m joined by the incredible Dr. Anita Phillips-a trauma therapist, powerhouse speaker, and someone whose wisdom has truly changed my life. In this episode, we get real about what healing actually looks like, and why forgiveness and healing are two separate journeys.I open up about my own process: how forgiving someone doesn’t mean the pain is instantly gone-just like if someone broke your leg, you could forgive them right away, but your leg would still need time to heal. That analogy hit home for me, and I know so many of you can relate. Sometimes the hurt lingers long after we’ve chosen to let go, and that’s okay.We also talk about the “mother wound,” and I share how hearing Dr. Anita break down this topic on the Woman Evolve stage brought me to tears. She explains how mother wounds aren’t just a women’s issue-they can affect anyone, and they run deep, sometimes all the way back to the original story of Adam and Eve. The way Dr. Anita brings grace to both mothers and daughters, and encourages us to have compassion for each other, is something I wish everyone could hear. This episode gets personal. I even take a moment to publicly apologize to anyone who met me during a darker, more broken season of my life-because when you’re hurting, you show up differently, no matter how hard you try to hide it. Dr. Anita helps us understand how trauma impacts our nervous system, why we might feel stuck in “fight or flight,” and how true healing isn’t about quick hacks, but about daily practices: rest, nourishing your body, using your voice, and spending time in safe spaces. We talk about practical steps-like setting boundaries, speaking up for yourself, and even how being in nature or near the ocean can help reset your nervous system. Dr. Anita shares that healing is a process, not a destination, and encourages us to look back a year from now to see how far we’ve come.If you’ve ever struggled with anxiety, felt stuck in old pain, or wondered why healing takes so long, this episode is for you. It’s honest, motivating, and packed with wisdom you can use right now. This episode of Let’s Try This Again is one of the most powerful and personal conversations I’ve ever had. I’m your host, B Simone, and today I sit down with Kevin—a filmmaker, producer, author, and mental health advocate whose story is nothing short of a miracle. We talk about the realities of suicide, mental health struggles, and the unseen emotional weight so many of us carry.Kevin opens up about living with bipolar disorder and the darkness he’s battled—including the day he attempted to end his life by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge at just 19 years old. Out of thousands who have jumped, only 40 have survived in 90 years, and Kevin is one of them1. Hearing him talk about the days leading up to that moment, the pain he felt, and the silence he kept out of fear of judgment is both heartbreaking and incredibly relatable. He shares how he used to hide his hallucinations, panic attacks, and deep sadness, and how the loss of his beloved teacher to suicide made him believe it was an option for himself. But this episode isn’t just about the darkness—it’s about hope, resilience, and practical steps to keep going. Kevin shares the two life-saving actions he takes whenever suicidal thoughts return: looking in the mirror and reminding himself, “My thoughts don’t have to become my actions,” and reaching out to say, “I need help now.” These simple but powerful tools have helped him stay alive for 24 years since his attempt, and he urges anyone struggling to use them too.We also talk about the importance of community, love, and small daily actions that can shift your mindset—like meditation, exercise, and even something as simple as a hug. Kevin’s story is a testament to the fact that you are not alone, your life has purpose, and there is always a way forward, even when it feels impossible. If you or someone you love is struggling, please listen with care and know that there are people and resources ready to support you. This episode is raw, real, and full of hope. I promise, you’ll walk away feeling seen, motivated, and reminded that your story isn’t over. Let’s keep trying—together.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Welcome to the Let’s Try This Again podcast! I’m your host, B Simone, and in this episode, we’re diving deep into a topic that has transformed my life: Isolation vs. Solitude. This conversation is personal, relatable, and packed with lessons that will help you reflect on your own journey and move forward with intention.I share my experience of navigating a season of solitude—a time of intentional alone moments that have brought incredible growth, clarity, and healing. Solitude has taught me to embrace independence, prioritize self-love, and let go of relationships that no longer serve me. I compare this to isolation, which can feel dark, fear-based, and stagnant—a space I’ve seen others struggle in.For example, I talk about a loved one who’s in isolation—avoiding community out of fear—and contrast that with my solitude journey where I’ve learned to meal prep, set boundaries, and find joy in being alone without depending on external validation. Solitude has been a gift for me, allowing me to shed old habits and step into a healthier mindset. This episode is about asking yourself: What season am I in? Whether you’re feeling lonely or disconnected, understanding the difference between isolation and solitude can be the key to unlocking growth and purpose. I break down the definitions and share practical ways to shift your mindset from victim to victor—because solitude can be empowering when embraced intentionally.Tune in for an inspiring conversation filled with vulnerability, laughter, and actionable steps to help you heal and evolve. Welcome to the Let's Try This Again podcast! I’m your host, B Simone, and this episode is extra special because we’re celebrating one year of podcasting—yes, a whole year of pressing forward, overcoming fear, and giving God our yes. In this episode, I share my personal journey of starting this podcast, how it came to life during a season of uncertainty, and the lessons I learned about faith, fear, and obedience. Let me take you back to the moment when God dropped the name "Let's Try This Again" into my spirit during a fast—a time when I felt broken and unsure about my next steps. Eight months after walking away from my previous podcast, I was hesitant to start over. But through faith and seeking God’s guidance, I found clarity and courage to take that leap.I talk about how fear can paralyze us—whether it’s starting a new business, giving love another chance after heartbreak, or pursuing a dream that feels impossible. For me, fear was real when I thought about podcasting again after a traumatic experience with my first show. But choosing faith over fear opened doors not just for me but for others who needed encouragement and healing through these conversations. This episode is all about starting, even when you don’t have all the answers. Whether it’s picking up an old hobby like singing or painting, or taking steps toward your purpose—even if it’s as small as writing down ideas—your yes isn’t just for you. It’s connected to someone else’s breakthrough, healing, or freedom.I hope this episode motivates you to seek the next step in your journey. Remember Jeremiah 29:13: Seek Him with all your heart, and you will find Him. Don’t let fear hold you back from what God has called you to do. Your yes can create waves of healing and freedom for others—it’s bigger than you think!Tune in now for a raw and relatable conversation filled with laughter, vulnerability, and practical steps to move forward in faith. Let’s celebrate together and keep trying—because the movement begins with us!See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Hey, y’all! It’s your girl B. Simone, and welcome back to Let’s Try This Again! This week, I’m joined by someone super special—my brother and partner-in-crime from my 2024 stand-up tour, Brandon Lewis, aka B-Lew. Together, we dive into a raw and heartfelt conversation about growth, grief, and the power of isolation in self-discovery.We talk about everything—from how we first met back in 2016 (remember that cringy boxing video shoot?) to how we reconnected almost a decade later during one of the most transformative years of our lives. Brandon opens up about losing his mom to cancer and how that heartbreaking experience became the catalyst for his season of transition. He shares how he’s learning to set boundaries, embrace self-worth, and step into a new version of himself. On the flip side, I reflect on my own season of acceleration. From shedding dead weight to staying laser-focused on my vision, I’ve learned that not everyone is meant to come along for the ride—and that’s okay. We also talk about how isolation isn’t just lonely—it’s necessary. It breaks you down so you can rebuild stronger than ever. This episode is full of laughs (Brandon roasting me is a given), tears (he’s been practicing his “10k views” cry!), and real-life gems about faith, resilience, and trusting God’s timing. Whether you’re navigating loss, chasing your dreams, or just trying to figure out your next step, this episode will leave you feeling seen and inspired.Tune in now for some laughs, some lessons, and a whole lotta love. And don’t forget—every Monday we drop audio on all platforms, and every Tuesday you can catch the visuals on YouTube. Let’s grow together! Hey you guys! It's your girl, B Simone, and welcome back to another episode of the 'Let's Try This Again' podcast! In this episode, we are diving deep into something that hit me like never before — an identity crisis. Now, if you know me, you know I have always loved my skin, my curls, my melanin, my juicy lips, and everything about being a Black woman. But recently, I found myself questioning it all, and I need to share this journey with you.It all started with a conversation my girl Connor had on a date with an NBA player who casually said he prefers dating white women because they are "easier to deal with." But he added, "You don't count because you look mixed." That one comment shook me to my core. I mean, here I was, 34 years old, never once doubting my beauty or my worth, and suddenly I found myself asking, "Am I too Black? Too urban? Are my braids too ghetto?" Y'all, these thoughts had NEVER been in my head before. As I got ready for my trip to Brazil, I kept overthinking everything. Am I dressing too Black? Will I fit in with these high-value men? It felt crazy because I had always walked confidently in who I am. But at that party in Brazil, surrounded by women who looked racially ambiguous, I felt it. The doubt. The questioning. And let me be clear — I wasn’t disrespected. Everyone was kind and welcoming. But perception is powerful, and for the first time, I felt like I didn’t fit in.But here's what I learned: My authenticity is my power. I didn't let those thoughts change who I was. I showed up as my loud, vibrant, braided, Black self because that is enough. And I want every Black woman listening to know that YOU are enough. Whether you're rocking colorful nails, big hair, or rocking your natural curls — show up as YOU.This episode is a reminder to confront those sneaky little thoughts that make us question our worth. Catch them before they turn into actions. Cast them down because we are more than society's beauty standards.Tune in now to Episode 51 of 'Let's Try This Again' and let's talk about it. New audio episodes drop every Monday, and visuals are up every Tuesday on YouTube. Follow us on Instagram @letstrythisagain for updates and exclusive behind-the-scenes content. Simone, and today we’re talking about something that’s been heavy on my heart—answering the call, stepping into obedience, and MOVING when God tells you to.A few months ago, God placed it on my spirit to serve, and I had no idea what that meant. But when I visited my father’s church in Columbus, Ohio, it all made sense. This episode is all about how I stepped into my purpose, led a powerful women’s event, and witnessed healing in ways I couldn’t have imagined.Y’all, this weekend was a testament to faith, obedience, and the power of community. If you’ve been stuck, scared to move, or hesitant to step into what God is calling you to do, THIS is your sign. What do you need to fight for? What do you need to flee from? My bestie Candice is back, but this time she brought her husband, Omar, and whew—y’all, we get real.We talk love, marriage, and what it takes to build a solid foundation, but let’s be clear—this ain’t no fairy tale. If you’ve ever struggled with self-worth, discipline, or letting go of toxic patterns, this conversation is for YOU. I had the absolute honor of sitting down with the phenomenal Dr. Thema Bryant, a trauma psychologist and survivor who is out here changing lives. We got REAL about everything—how vulnerability is a superpower, why self-forgiveness is just as important as forgiving others, and the hard truth about healing from past wounds. Dr. Bryant dropped so many gems, from understanding why we perform for acceptance to why we should stop shrinking ourselves to make others comfortable. And whew—when she called me out on my own self-neglect and emotional eating? Let’s just say I had a breakthrough right there on the mic! This episode is all about choosing growth, breaking cycles, and stepping into the love and peace we all deserve. Hey, y’all! It’s your girl, B. Simone, and this episode of Let’s Try This Again is all about setting goals, staying obedient, and pushing through—even when it’s tough.I’m coming to you from Dear Media Studios, and let me tell you, this is a full-circle moment. Two years ago, I walked away from a major deal here, trusting God even when it didn’t make sense. And now? I’m sitting in this very studio, signed, sealed, and stepping into my purpose. We’re talking about goals and manifestation—how I wrote down three major goals for 2025, and they’re already unfolding before my eyes. From landing a big contract, to traveling the world every month, to committing to a fasted lifestyle, I’m sharing the highs, the struggles, and the lessons along the way.I also get real about obedience and discipline—because staying true to your path means walking away from comfort, from relationships that no longer serve you, and from opportunities that aren’t aligned with your spirit. And let’s be honest, sometimes that means sitting in a dry season (like my phone—whew, Sahara Desert vibes!). But when you trust the process, the blessings come back full circle.Oh, and if you’ve ever had to do your makeup in an $200 Uber ride while rushing to be on time, trust me, you’ll relate to this one!So, grab your journal, write down those goals, and let’s hold each other accountable. What’s one thing you’re committing to in 2025? Drop it in the comments, and let’s make it happen—together.Follow @LetsTryThisAgain on Instagram, join the community, and stay tuned for the LTTA app—it’s coming soon!Let’s keep growing, keep pushing, and as always, let’s try this again.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
Hey y’all, it’s B Simone, and this week, I’m opening up about something I struggled with consistently last year—comparison. Whether it was scrolling on social media or feeling like I wasn’t where I “should” be in life, it had me stuck in my head and doubting myself. But this year? That’s not my story anymore. In this episode, I share what it was like to admit I was caught up in the comparison game, how therapy gave me tools to work through it, and what finally helped me stop caring about likes, views, and outside opinions. We talk about those moments when you feel jealous or not good enough and how to flip those feelings into something that motivates you instead of dragging you down.I also shout out my friends and community—the ones who remind me who I am when I forget. And for real, if you’re in a season where you’re feeling stuck, I’ve got tips to help you refocus on your goals and start building a life that actually makes you happy. So if you’ve been feeling the weight of comparison lately, trust me—you’re not alone, and you don’t have to stay in that space. "I am a Lion and a Lamb" - Jason Wilson In this episode, I sat down with author, mentor, and the transformative leader behind The Cave of Adullam, Jason Wilson. We dive deep into what it means to break free from emotional incarceration, redefine manhood, and embrace both the lion and the lamb within us. Jason shares his powerful journey from a wounded boy in Detroit to becoming a man who leads with transparency, resilience, and love.We talk about the 10 characteristics of a comprehensive man, why being "just a provider and protector" isn’t enough, and how healing the past unlocks freedom in the present. At one point, Jason reveals how his personal struggles with family trauma helped him nurture his mother during her battle with dementia, teaching him the true meaning of sacrifice and love. His insights into creating safe spaces—for men and women alike—are nothing short of life-changing.This conversation left me feeling vulnerable, inspired, and deeply seen. This week I’m joined by our first guest of 2025: entrepreneur, financial educator, and my friend Wallstreet Trapper. He shared his powerful story of transformation from—growing up in New Orleans, navigating the streets, serving time in prison, and ultimately building a life centered on purpose and impact. Trapper opened up about his emotional journey, including how therapy has helped him recalibrate his feelings, address his struggles with empathy, and work towards forgiveness. We spoke about redefining relationships and what it means to truly show up for the people in our lives.Trapper’s passion for financial freedom is just as inspiring as his personal growth. He broke down how he’s teaching people to overcome financial trauma, invest with confidence, and create generational wealth. From setting up custodial accounts for kids to using the stock market as a tool for liberation, his insights are practical and life-changing. He also revealed how he used a $1.2 million trade to fund his new Freedom Center, which will be a space for education, community, and empowerment. If you’re ready to embrace growth—whether emotionally, spiritually, or financially—this conversation is for you. Mathew 23:11 “The greatest among you will be your servant.”Serving isn’t just about helping others—it’s a powerful act that connects you to something bigger than yourself. It shifts your focus, helps you grow emotionally and spiritually, and uncovers hidden gifts and talents you didn’t even know you had.I share why service is so important and how it’s showing up in my life this year. From creating women’s support groups at my dad’s church in Columbus to smaller, everyday acts like sharing resources or affirming my friends, I’ve learned that service can take many forms. It’s not just community service or grand gestures—it’s showing up where you’re needed and giving what you have without expecting anything in return. We’ll explore how serving can be a tool for healing, connection, and gratitude. Whether you’re unsure of your purpose or just want to make an impact, this episode will inspire you to see service in a whole new way.As Will Smith once said, “Desires involve self, purpose involves others” How will you serve in 2025? “Write down the vision and make it plain”- Habakkuk 2:2 This episode is all about the power of writing things down. I found my  journal from 10 years ago, right before I moved to Atlanta, and it brought back so many memories. I was working three jobs, sleeping on the floor to afford studio time, and trusting that everything would work out. I wrote about wanting to be financially stable, moving to Atlanta, and even my bold plan to save $1 million before I turned 30.Every goal, every prayer, every dream I wrote in that journal has come to life in some way, even if it looked different from what I expected. I’m sharing those entries and how they’ve reminded me to believe without doubt, even when things feel uncertain. If you’ve been questioning your next step or need encouragement to keep going, this episode will remind you that faith and action can take you far.—----------------------------------KEEP UP WITH ME:WEBSITE: http://www.Letstrythisagain.com INSTAGRAM - @LetstrythisagainINSTAGRAM- @LttaappTIKTOK- @LetstrythisagainpodcastFACEBOOK - THEBSIMONE2—----------------------------------LTTA APP:  I’m so excited to release my very own app!! Hey, LTTA family. This week, I had an epiphany in therapy…I'm codependent! I always thought, “That’s not me,” but turns out, it’s a little more complicated than I realized. In this episode, I’m sharing my journey of recognizing those patterns, where they might have come from, and how I’m trying to break free. But honestly, I’m still figuring it out. So, I’m asking you to join me in this—are you the fixer? The one leaning on others? Or maybe somewhere in between?Luckily I'm continuing to strengthen my discernment and I must say, I’ve been super proud of the growth I’ve made in this area of my life. How are you doing?  KEEP UP WITH US:WEBSITE: http://www.Letstrythisagain.com INSTAGRAM - @LetstrythisagainINSTAGRAM- @LttaappTIKTOK- @LetstrythisagainpodcastFACEBOOK - THEBSIMONE2—----------------------------------LTTA APP: I’m so excited to release my very own app!! What was your mom’s childhood like? What’s your father’s birth story? Did your parents know their grandparents? Where did they get their first job? This is your sign TO ASK YOUR FAMILY QUESTIONS while you still have the opportunity! It might shock you to know how similar you might be to family members you might’ve never met, or the closeness you may feel after learning a bit more about a distant family memberIt’s been nice to heal my inner child and enjoy spending time with my family again. I love a full circle moment! They’re a nice reminder that I am exactly where I need to be, the investments I have made are worth it, and that it is all going to work out in the end.  Today, I’m joined by business manager and consultant Jaz and curly hair specialist,  Monica and we talk about the fear and uncertainty associated with an investment (07:00). We also talk about why it’s important to be protective of your big dreams around small dreamers or worse yet, DREAM KILLERS (25:00), and what keeps us rooted in an idea that we haven't yet seen the fruit from. My friends remind me about a manifestation I spoke into my life 15 years ago that I totally forgot about (38:00), and we end the episode with a game that Jaz and I call “The Manifestation Game”. I'm challenging you all to play the game with your friends and to leave your manifestations in the comments so I can play with yall! 45:00) KEEP UP WITH US:WEBSITE: http://www.Letstrythisagain.com INSTAGRAM - @LetstrythisagainTIKTOK- @LetstrythisagainpodcastFACEBOOK - THEBSIMONE2TWITTER / X - @TheBSimone—----------------------------------LTTA APP:  I’m so excited to release my very own app!! Heyyyyyy LTTA Family! This week’s episode is special because i’m joined by two women who have been by my side for 15+ years, Monica and CamielleMonica is a curly hair specialist who always gracefully came to my rescue when we worked at the hair salon together, and I'd constantly overbook myself (ALL MONEY IN- OKAY!). People would come in and I'd be working on 3 different heads, but you better believe I'd tell that person. “Of course, I’ll be right with you, take a seat” Camielle and I were in a girl group together, she was there when I manifested going viral on instagram before going viral was even a thing. We even made money go-go dancing at some point (more about that on the next episode!) These two join me 15+ years later from where we met to talk about their expectations vs. the reality of parenting 2 kids (20:00), balancing business and motherhood (30:00), reconnecting with God (46:00), and dating intentionally (50:00).Thanks to our SponsorGood American Shop Good American now and use Promo Code LTTA for $50 OFF your first pair at http://www.goodamerican.com/lttaKEEP UP WITH US:WEBSITE: http://www.Letstrythisagain.com INSTAGRAM - @LetstrythisagainTIKTOK- @LetstrythisagainpodcastFACEBOOK - THEBSIMONE2TWITTER / X - @TheBSimone—----------------------------------LTTA APP: I’m so excited to release my very own app!! " You cannot possess people, you can only experience them.”Hey LTTA Fam! This week, I shared how a hurtful argument with my sister sparked an epiphany that changed our relationship forever. She constantly teaches me that what I want for others and what they want for themselves doesn’t always align. I learned the importance of showing up like a SISTER instead of a MOTHER and I had to take accountability for being controlling, even if it was rooted in love. You can expect to hear:(4:00) The moment I realized that I am a sibling, and NOT a parent (8:00) The text message exchange that resulted in the silent treatment for weeks(9:00) The importance of letting people FEEL their emotions vs. FIXING their emotions(12:00) The moment I realized “OMG, I’m controlling” (15:00) UNTETHERING my identity with the Savior Complex(17:00) Learning to ask someone “How do you need me to show up for you in this stage of your life”(20:00) The impact my public platform has on my sister’s privacy (23:20) “Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye?” - Mathew 7:3 Hope this episode inspires you to restructure any relationships you thought about while listening to this week’s episode.
