Description: In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, a group of East Village residents began compiling recipes from chefs and residents around the neighborhood to bind together and sell to benefit Trinity’s Services and Food for the Homeless. Now, the East Village Cookbook has become a big hit, featuring recipes from Veselka, Nom Wah, Katz's, Momofuku, and more. Plus, it also features recipes from residents like Alan Cumming and Richard Hell. Proceeds from the cookbook benefit Trinity’s Services and Food for the Homeless. Reverend Will Kroeze of Trinity Lower East Side and chef Will Horowitz discuss the project and the cookbook. Plus, listeners share what they love most about the East Village.
