Watson's Locked In. Ken Says It's Time to Stop Pretending Otherwise
Podcast: The Ken Carman Show with Anthony LimaPublished On: Mon Aug 17 2026
Description: Ken Carman and Anthony Lima open with promo for the station's 15-year Faniversary event at Dave & Buster's before circling back to the QB competition, with Ken doubling down on his prediction that Deshaun Watson will be named the starter despite pushback on social media for calling it early. They walk through the exact practice schedule Todd Monken laid out, arguing the setup makes it clear Watson has the edge even if Shedeur Sanders gets reps this week, while stressing that losing the job now doesn't mean Sanders' career is over or that he can't take over later in the season.
