Should Deshaun Watson Be Named Captain if He Starts?
Podcast: The Ken Carman Show with Anthony LimaPublished On: Thu Aug 20 2026
Description: Ken Carman and Anthony Lima replay Mary Kay Cabot's prediction that Deshaun Watson would be named captain if he wins the job, then spiral into a debate over whether that's plausible given only three teams last year didn't name their quarterback captain, and build out their own guess at the Browns' full captain list (Jerry Jeudy, Denzel Ward, Jared Verse, and Carson Schwesinger get floated). The house-on-fire analogy caps off a segment that doubles as a broader gut check on where the Browns' real problems actually are.
