Does Starting Deshaun Watson Mean Todd Monken Has Given Up On Shedeur?
Podcast: The Ken Carman Show with Anthony LimaPublished On: Mon Aug 24 2026
Description: Ken Carman and Anthony Lima float the theory that Deshaun Watson may have sabotaged his own audition on purpose, freaking out under the boos and venting frustrations he'd been sitting on for years. A caller pushes the idea that Todd Monken keeps talking himself into squeezing something out of Watson no matter what happens on the field, and Carman and Lima wonder aloud what it says about Monken's read on Shedeur Sanders if Watson gets the nod anyway. The two also dig into the $86 million cap penalty boxing the Browns in and admit even they can't fully explain Monken's continued faith in Watson.
