Is Everyone Rewriting History on Baker Mayfield and Deshaun Watson?
Podcast: The Ken Carman Show with Anthony LimaPublished On: Mon Sep 21 2026
Description: Ken and Lima give Deshaun Watson credit for outplaying Baker Mayfield, especially after leaked reports that his job was in jeopardy, but warn against overcorrecting the story of Baker's messy exit from Cleveland. They stress that one good game doesn't justify the trade or put Shedeur Sanders' future in doubt. They also praise the defense for bouncing back without Myles Garrett, highlighting Mason Graham, late pressure from Jared Verse, and a secondary that held up against Baker's deep shots.
