Is Robert Mays Being Fair to Deshaun Watson and the Browns?
Podcast: The Ken Carman Show with Anthony LimaPublished On: Tue Oct 06 2026
Description: Ken and Lima push back on Robert Mays of The Athletic for saying Deshaun Watson didn't have much to do with the Browns' 3-1 start, pointing to his three fourth-quarter comeback drives and 10 first downs with his legs. They argue that Amazon's broadcast was right to stick to football instead of rehashing the legal cases, and that the bar for quarterback play around the league is low enough that Watson clears it for now. They stress they aren't being fanboys, since Watson isn't worth his guaranteed contract and likely isn't here next year, then throw the question to the audience.
