Nobody's Buying What Todd Monken Is Selling on Deshaun Watson
Podcast: The Ken Carman Show with Anthony Lima

Description: Ken Carman and Anthony Lima notice that fan and media reaction hasn't matched Todd Monken's visible excitement over Deshaun Watson's preseason debut, questioning whether the coach known for "truth-telling" is being genuinely honest or just optimistic about a quarterback nobody trusts. Anthony argues Monken seemed authentically surprised by how functional Watson looked given over 600 days away from football, while Ken counters that fans simply have no faith in anyone in the Browns' QB room and won't get excited until wins actually happen in the regular season. Both agree the performance was fine but unspectacular, praising Casey Concepcion and Spencer Fano as the real bright spots, and Ken closes by reiterating he thinks the job should just go to Watson given how the practice schedule is shaping up.
