About Last Night: Should We Be Critical of Stephen Vogt & RIP Barry Melrose
Podcast: The Ken Carman Show with Anthony LimaPublished On: Thu Sep 10 2026
Description: Ken and Anthony bring in producer John to break down the Guardians' meltdown loss, where Foster Griffin gave up eight runs in the third inning, and question why Stephen Vogt didn't pull him sooner and why his measured postgame comments feel too much like Todd Monken-style spin for a team fighting for a wild card spot. They also wonder if the Guardians got a lemon in the Griffin trade given his ballooning ERA since the deal. The segment closes with a tribute to longtime ESPN hockey analyst Barry Melrose, who died at 70, with both hosts crediting his personality for making hockey watchable for non-fans.
