Sean Casey: Why the Guardians Offense Went Silent in Game 1
Podcast: The Ken Carman Show with Anthony Lima
Published On: Mon Oct 05 2026
Description: MLB Network analyst Sean Casey joins Ken and Lima to break down the Guardians' 3-0 Game 1 loss to the White Sox, pointing to the missed bases-loaded chances, the rhythm advantage of a team that has been playing, and a lineup that still needs big bats despite Steven Kwan's strong second half. He defends Steven Vogt's communication skills and lineup choices, pushes back on over-reliance on platoon matchups, and shares his read on the rest of the postseason, including his love for the Brewers. After he signs off, Ken and Lima argue over whether Game 2 is truly the season, with Ken calm about facing another bullpen game and Lima nervous about an 0-2 hole.
