Did the NFL Rush the Browns Back Onto the Field After the Delay?
Did the NFL Rush the Browns Back Onto the Field After the Delay?
Podcast: The Ken Carman Show with Anthony Lima
Published On: Mon Sep 21 2026
Description: Ken and Lima look back on the two-plus hour weather delay in Tampa, with Ken recalling getting called to go on the air, and joke that Floridians barely blink at lightning while everyone else runs for cover. They marvel at how quickly the NFL got players back out for the final two minutes, with a soaked, re-sodded field, and praise Carson Schwesinger for slipping and still chasing down Baker Mayfield. Ken admits he was relieved the Browns held on after Hurst dropped a go-ahead pass in the end zone, since it saved him an uphill argument about Watson starting, and they sign off with Watson's 40-1 Comeback Player of the Year odds.
