Should the Guardians Risk It All by Starting Messick on Sunday?
Podcast: The Ken Carman Show with Anthony LimaPublished On: Fri Sep 25 2026
Description: With the division still unsettled and Parker Messick lined up as the Sunday starter, Ken and Anthony debate whether it's worth pitching him even if it means losing him for a potential wild card series. Ken argues the gap between winning the division and settling for a wild card spot is massive enough to justify the gamble, especially with Cleveland sitting as underdogs to win it all. A caller backs the aggressive approach, reasoning a loss just means facing a tough road wild card matchup instead, so the Guardians might as well go for the division outright.
