About Last Night: Protect College Sports Act & JJ McCarthy to the Giants
Podcast: The Ken Carman Show with Anthony LimaPublished On: Tue Sep 29 2026
Description: Ken and Lima bring in producer John to break down the Senate passing the Protect College Sports Act 77-22, including Rand Paul's failed antitrust immunity push and the dropped $5 million coaching salary cap. They worry the House won't act before the election and could flip, with the Congressional Black Caucus opposed to capping athletes but not coaches, even though Trump wants it done now. They also discuss J.J. McCarthy's trade to the Giants for a fifth-round pick and what it says about Shedeur Sanders, then compare Heat media day to what LeBron and the Cavs would have drawn against the Browns.
