Even Ken Carman Is Now Rooting for Baker Mayfield to Beat the Browns
Podcast: The Ken Carman Show with Anthony Lima
Published On: Tue Sep 15 2026
Description: Ken admits he's finally been "broken" into wanting Deshaun Watson to lose, tying it to Vegas moving the Browns' spread to 8.5 point underdogs and Watson's rough all-22 film showing 4.9-second drops before sacks. He and Anthony debate whether they've been too hard on Watson given two years of rust, ultimately concluding no excuses are being extended to him the way they are for the new-look defense, and that a benching wouldn't end the criticism since the defense and other issues would just take center stage.
