Will Kenny Atkinson be Fired by Thanksgiving?
Podcast: The Ken Carman Show with Anthony Lima
Published On: Fri Aug 14 2026
Description: Ken and Anthony dig into the newly released Cavs schedule, joking the league loaded it with tough early matchups like a home-and-home with Oklahoma City as payback for Kenny Atkinson's comments on analytics, while noting the team still hasn't added James Harden or made any real offseason moves. They debate whether a rough start will reignite fan interest as a "hate watch" or deepen the malaise left over from LeBron's departure to Philadelphia and the team's ugly end to last season, predicting calls demanding Atkinson's job as early as the season opener against the Sixers. The conversation shifts to Browns training camp, with Anthony flagging the offensive line, particularly the futures of Spencer Fano, DeJuan Jones, and Titus Howard, as the real story to watch in tomorrow's preseason opener beyond the quarterback competition.
