Would An NFL Team In London Actually Work?
Podcast: The Ken Carman Show with Anthony Lima
Published On: Wed Aug 19 2026
Description: Ken Carman and Anthony Lima react to Roger Goodell floating a permanently London-based NFL franchise, working through why it makes little sense for players who'd be a flight away from family and why American fans likely wouldn't attach to it. They pitch a wild alternative instead, swapping a Premier League club into a big American city, and argue that would actually generate more passion than an NFL team overseas ever could. The two also touch on the Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson quarterback battle, with Lima predicting Sanders ends up playing in more games this season regardless of who wins the job.
