Mary Kay Cabot: Deshaun Watson Needs a Huge Game Just to Get a Fair Shot
Podcast: The Ken Carman Show with Anthony LimaPublished On: Thu Sep 17 2026
Description: Mary Kay Cabot joins Ken and Anthony to argue Deshaun Watson needs something close to 400 yards and five touchdowns to earn any goodwill back from Browns fans, while acknowledging the rusty offensive line and his surgery recovery made a rough start somewhat predictable. She explains why Todd Monken likely held Shedeur Sanders out of the brutal opening two road games, positioning him to take over with a gelling offense and a home crowd behind him in Week 3. Cabot also breaks down Austin Barber's strong debut at right guard over Tevin Jenkins, the defense's need for veterans like Denzel Ward and Jared Verse to step up without Myles Garrett, and why she doesn't buy Baker Mayfield's downplaying of his return to Cleveland as anything but a revenge game.
