Description: Nolan McLean battled for the second straight start, but a late homer off of Austin Warren gave the San Diego Padres the lead and they defeated the New York Mets, 3-2.  McLean didn't have his best stuff again tonight, but battled and threw a career high 101 pitches over six innings of one run ball.  The offense didn't do much, but a Marcus Semien homer in the 7th gave the Mets a 2-1 lead. Warren came in for the 7th and almost got out of it. But after not being able to make a play to end the inning, he served up a go-ahead 2-run home run to Freddy Fermin. There was hope for the Mets to comeback, after a pair of singles from Carson Benge and Bo Bichette with Juan Soto at the plate.
