In this episode Father discusses the Society of St. Pius X’s announced intention to consecrate new bishops and how the present crisis in the Church constitutes a grave state of necessity requiring decisive action for the salvation of souls. Father also answers listener questions on discerning vocations, raising children in the faith, discipline at Mass, and the essential role of prayer, especially the Rosary, in forming Catholic families. In this sermon Father discusses the Catholic doctrine that the Blessed Virgin Mary is rightly called Co-Redemptrix and Mediatrix of all Graces, that these titles belong to the deposit of faith and are consistently taught by Scripture, Tradition, the Fathers, Doctors, Saints, and Popes. Denying these Marian titles undermines authentic Christology, rejects the Church’s historical teaching authority, and results in doctrinal collapse masked by false ecumenism. We need unwavering devotion to Our Lady, especially in the present age of crisis, presenting her as God’s chosen instrument for the final victory over error and the salvation of souls. Key quotes from this sermon: St. Louis de Montfort: “God wishes to make Mary better known in the latter times.” St. Alphonse Liguori: “If you call on Our Lady promptly in temptation, it is an infallible sign that you will not fall.” St. Maximilian Kolbe: “Mary is Co-Redemptrix because she is the Immaculate Conception, uniquely united to the Holy Ghost.” St. Vincent of Lérins: “We must hold what has been believed everywhere, always, and by all.” St. Jerome: “The whole world groaned and was astonished to find itself Arian.” St. John Eudes: “All the Fathers of the Church clearly teach that Mary is Co-Redemptrix with Christ in the work of salvation.” Links, Reading Material, and Books: Mother of the Savior and Our Interior Life — Reginald Garrigou-Lagrange (Free on Internet Archive) True Devotion to Mary — St. Louis de Montfort The Priest’s Dignity and Obligations — St. John Eudes The Litany of Loreto "Video" versions of the podcasts are posted to Odysee, Rumble and sometimes on YouTube (The censors at YouTube don't like Father's preaching so we're not posting everything because we don't want his channel nuked). In this episode Father discusses the profound crisis in the Church rooted in the Second Vatican Council, synodality, and modern ecclesial reforms which contradict prior infallible teaching and have led to doctrinal confusion, liturgical collapse, and moral corruption. The suppression of the traditional Roman Rite, the promotion of moral errors — especially regarding sexuality — and the infiltration of the Church by hostile forces are signs of a long-prophesied apostasy and an approaching chastisement. We must practice spiritual resistance through prayer, penance, fidelity to tradition, devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, and serious study of the saints and doctors of the Church. In this sermon Father discusses the dogma of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary as defined by Pope Pius XII, emphasizing the Church’s infallible authority to proclaim divinely revealed truths and the necessity of assenting to every dogma of the Catholic faith. Mary’s Assumption is inseparable from her perfect detachment from sin and the world, her total conformity to the will of God, and her unique participation in Christ’s redemptive work through love, suffering, and humility. Let us imitate Mary and the saints by practicing detachment, living sacramentally, preparing daily for death, and trusting in Our Lady’s powerful intercession for perseverance and salvation. Key quotes from this sermon: St. Thomas Aquinas: “To reject one dogma is to reject them all.” St. Robert Bellarmine: The Art of Dying Well — “To die well, one must first die to the world.” St. Bernard of Clairvaux: “Blessed is that death which is purchased at any price.” St. Francis of Assisi: “My God and my all.” St. John of the Cross: “One may be attached even to something holy, such as a rosary.” St. Augustine of Hippo: “Before sin, the devil tells you God is merciful; after sin, he tells you God will never forgive.” St. Alphonsus Liguori: “As you live, so you will die.” St. John Vianney: Assurance given to Augustine Cohen regarding his mother’s salvation through Marian intercession. St. Bernardine of Siena: Christ Himself went forth to meet His Mother at her Assumption. St. Anselm of Canterbury: Christ ascended first in order to prepare and accompany Mary to her heavenly throne. In this sermon Father discusses the divine motherhood of the Blessed Virgin Mary as the foundation of all Marian doctrine and as inseparable from authentic Christology and the Catholic Faith. Attacks on Mary’s titles — especially Mother of God, Mediatrix of all Graces, and Co-Redemptrix — are signs of doctrinal collapse foretold by saints, councils, and Marian apparitions. Heresy against Mary inevitably leads to heresy against Christ; we need to remain steadfast, to defend revealed dogma even amid ecclesial confusion, and to deepen devotion to Our Lady — particularly through the Rosary — as a sign of fidelity and perseverance unto salvation. Key quotes from this sermon: St. Louis de Montfort: “Whoever wishes to possess Jesus must possess Mary.” St. Alphonse Liguori: “One good priest leads thousands to heaven; one bad priest leads thousands to hell.” St. Louis de Montfort: “Jesus is the fruit of Mary, and Mary is the true tree of life.” St. Justin Martyr: “The Virgin Mary became the cause of salvation for herself and for the whole human race.” St. Irenaeus of Lyons: “The knot of Eve’s disobedience was loosed by the obedience of Mary.” St. Augustine: “The elect are carried in the womb of Mary until she brings them forth into eternal glory.” St. Catherine of Siena: “This vice [sodomy] is so abominable that even the demons turn away in horror.” Links, Reading Material, and Books: The Holy Bible: Douay-Rheims Version (Paperback) he Holy Bible: Douay-Rheims Version (Leather bound) The Love of Eternal Wisdom Encyclical: Fulgens Corona The Council of Ephesus Council of Chalcedon The Second Council of Constantinople   "Video" versions of the podcasts are posted to Odysee, Rumble and sometimes on YouTube (The censors at YouTube don't like Father's preaching so we're not posting everything because we don't want his channel nuked). In this sermon Father discusses the Immaculate Conception, explaining how Blessed Duns Scotus resolved theological difficulties by arguing that it was fitting for God to preserve His mother from original sin, a doctrine later defined as dogma by Pope Pius 9th. Mary is the “woman” of Genesis who crushes the serpent’s head, and as the “mold of God,” she serves as the perfect mediator to help the faithful be transformed into Christ. We need to practice total consecration to the Immaculate, imitating her virtues and relying on her intercession as it is the surest path to salvation and victory in spiritual warfare. Key quotes from Saints in this sermon: St. Augustine: “Mary was the only one who merited to be called the mother and spouse of God.” St. Augustine: “For sin never had any entry into the soul of the Blessed Virgin.” St. Bernard of Clairvaux: “Thou alone was found worthy to be chosen as the one in whose virginal womb the king of kings should have his first abode.” St. Bernard of Clairvaux: “Noah’s ark was a type of Mary, for as by its means men were preserved from the deluge, so are we all preserved by Mary from the shipwreck of sin.” St. Bonaventure: “It was becoming that the Blessed Virgin Mary by whom our shame was to be blotted out and by whom the devil was to be conquered should never even for a moment have been under her dominion.” St. Thomas Aquinas: “It was necessary that he, Christ, who was to take away sin, should be separated from sin as to the fault under which Adam lay.” St. Ambrose: “Christ chose this vessel unto which he was about to descend not avert but from heaven and he consecrated it a temple of purity.” St. Louis de Montfort: “I still would choose the immaculate way of Mary. It is a way a road without stain or spot without original sin or actual sin without shadow or darkness.” St. Louis de Montfort: “Mary is the great mold of God fashioned by the Holy Ghost to give human nature to a man who is God… and to fashion through the grace men who are like to God.” St. John Damascene: “O Blessed Virgin, thou was born and thou mightiest minister to the salvation of the whole world.” Links, Reading Material, and Books: The Secret of Mary (With Preparation for Total Consecration) by St. Louis de Montfort True Devotion to Mary by St. Louis de Montfort Imitation of Christ by Thomas a Kempis Consecration to Mary (Angelus Press)   "Video" versions of the podcasts are posted to Odysee, Rumble and sometimes on YouTube (The censors at YouTube don't like Father's preaching so we're not posting everything because we don't want his channel nuked). In this episode Father discusses the Miracle of the Sun: the most public “private” revelation since Apostolic times. Satan knows his time is short, and his final (and he hopes decisive) battle will be against Marriage and the Family, which anyone can see has been well underway for a few decades now. In this episode, Father discusses recent news from Rome, including the recent ratification of Cardinal Castillo by Pope Leo. As the crisis in the Church deepens we need to reflect on the heroic faith of the martyrs, especially as recounted in St. Alphonsus Liguori’s Victories of the Martyrs, so that if God calls us to this glorious honor we wil be ready (worst case scenario: we’re ready to be martyrs but “merely” die holy deaths of some other type). In this episode Father discusses the recent bombing of Iran and questions when the last time was that any church prelate spoke about the requirements for a Just War (which have not existed for the U.S. for 250 years, if not longer). In this episode Father reflects on the deep spiritual crisis facing both Church and society and the urgent need to heed Our Lady’s message at Fatima to do penance and reparation and to have devotion to Her Immaculate Heart. We need to embrace the cross, prepare spiritually for persecution, and stay rooted in prayer, especially the rosary, amid an impending chastisement and collapse of both Church and civil society. In this episode Father reviews the sermon of Pope Leo the 14th from his non-coronation Mass (installation?) and reflects with grave concern regarding Leo’s commitment to continuing the work of his predecessor Francis, his attachment to Vatican 2, and his support for synodality. Father contrasts this with quotations from Pope Pius 11th’s encyclical Mortalimum Annos and several quote from unimpeachable Catholic sources. We can never run from the truth, and the truth seems to be we have a Pope who is willing to speak heresy. This is not a time for fear, it is a time for renewed prayer and study, for fasting, and for preparation for what is coming… time is short before the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart will be accomplished. In this episode, Father discusses the recent election of Pope Leo 14th and raises some concerns that we as Catholics need to watch. While Leo speaks with perfect Latin and dresses like a Pope, his words and early action suggest he’s far more of spiritual successor to Francis than Leo 13th. The ongoing spiritual crisis within the Church requires direct and definitive intervention from the highest authorities but we aren’t likely to see that anytime soon. All that is left for us now are the promises — and warnings! — of Our Lady of Fatima. Pray the daily Rosary — all 15 decades! — frequent the Sacraments, do penance for sinners, and prepare for what is coming. In the end Her Immaculate Heart will Triumph and she’s given us the spiritual weapons to overcome evil… let’s use them! In this episode, Father discusses the recent death of Pope Francis and the upcoming conclave while critically examining Francis’ legacy, emphasizing his public heresies, the damage done to the Catholic faith, and the troubling state of the Church post-Vatican II. We were made for Heaven, and we must live with our eyes fixed firmly on that glorious reward. Don’t aim merely for purgatory—shoot for Heaven, for if you aim low and miss, hell awaits. Let nothing distract you from your eternal end. In Heaven, there will be no sickness, no suffering, no fear, no sin—only love, peace, and the beatific vision. Meditate on it often, speak of it with joy, and long for it with all your being! Unite your daily crosses to Christ’s Passion, cling to our Blessed Mother, frequent the sacraments, especially confession and Holy Communion, and strive for virtue. Remember, your glory in Heaven depends on your love for God here and now. So run the race well, carry your cross with joy, and bring souls with you—for no one goes to Heaven or hell alone. Quotes from the Saints: St. Maximilian Kolbe – “Aim higher.” St. Francis de Sales – “Never speak or act when you’re angry.” St. Paul – Multiple references from his epistles and his sufferings. St. Bernard – “Do you wish to know what heaven is? There is nothing there that gives pleasure. There is everything that delights.” St. Augustine – “He who sings well, prays twice.” St. Alphonse (de Liguori) – Multiple quotes and references, including stories from Preparation for Death. St. Bonaventure – “What measure men put into their love of God here will be the measure of their rejoicing in God in heaven…” St. John of the Cross – Mentioned with admiration for his suffering and love of the cross. St. Pio (Padre Pio) – “The more you are afflicted, the more you should exalt… a soul in the fire of tribulation will become refined gold…” Books mentioned in this sermon: Preparation for Death – St. Alphonsus de Liguori The Four Last Things – (traditional Catholic book often attributed to Fr. In these dark and perilous times, when sin abounds and the world seems overtaken by evil, we must remember that where sin increases, grace abounds all the more. God, in His mercy, has given us a mighty weapon for these days: the Holy Rosary. After the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, it is our greatest spiritual aid. Do not underestimate its power. Our Lady herself, from Fatima to Lourdes to Akita, has pleaded with us: “Pray the Rosary every day.” Through this prayer, peace is brought to the world, the Church is defended, our families are protected, and our souls are saved. It is through the Rosary that we meditate on the life of Christ, grow in virtue, and resist temptation. So I urge you, pray the Rosary: not with mere lips, but with heart and mind united. Pray it daily, faithfully, and reverently. Make it the heartbeat of your home and the weapon you carry into battle. Heaven is watching. The Queen of Heaven is calling. Will you respond? Quotes from the Saints: Our Lady to Lucia (Fatima): “Say the Rosary every day to bring peace to the world and the end of the war.” St. Bernard: “I cannot promise you happiness in this world, only suffering, but you will have great happiness in the next.” Our Lady to St. Dominic: “From this day, you will speak about nothing and preach about nothing but the Hail Mary.” St. Louis de Montfort: “In the end times, God will raise up little ones who will do greater works than the apostles.” St. Louis de Montfort (on the Rosary): “If you have one foot in hell and you call upon Our Lady, she will yank you out.” St. Louis de Montfort: “A single Hail Mary said properly is worth more than 150 said badly.” St. Pio: “Pick up your weapon!!!” (Referring to the Rosary) Fr. Patrick Peyton: “The family that prays together stays together.” St. Alphonsus: “If you call upon Our Lady immediately during temptation, especially of impurity, you will not fall.” St. John Vianney (related through the story of Fr. Augustine Cohen): “You will receive a letter on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception that will bring you joy.” Blessed Alan de la Roche: “The Rosary brings countless blessings…” St. John Eudes: “The worst punishment from God is wicked prelates and priests.” Books mentioned in this sermon: The Secret of the Rosary – by St. Louis de Montfort Octobri Mensei – Encyclical on the Rosary by Pope Leo XIII The writings of Blessed Bartholomew Holzhauer – on the Seven Ages of the Church   "Video" versions of the podcasts are posted to Odysee, Rumble and sometimes on YouTube (The censors at YouTube don't like Father's preaching so we're not posting everything because we don't want his channel nuked). During this holy season of Lent, the most crucial step in your spiritual journey is to truly know yourself—to identify your sins and weaknesses, especially that one prominent vice that acts like a stubborn weed in the garden of your soul. Don’t get overwhelmed by your many defects; pinpoint that main root, whether it’s pride putting yourself first, avarice clinging to earthly goods, or another capital sin. Then, focus your fight! The remedy isn’t just willpower; it’s embracing the opposite virtue, like humility against pride or generosity against avarice. Look to Christ, His Holy Mother, and the saints as your models, imitate their humility and detachment, accept the humiliations God sends to purify you, and remember that without God, you can do nothing. Rip up that root vice by its source, and all other virtues will begin to flourish within you.   "Video" versions of the podcasts are posted to Odysee, Rumble and sometimes on YouTube (The censors at YouTube don't like Father's preaching so we're not posting everything because we don't want his channel nuked). Purgatory is REAL and SEVERE! It is a place where souls in a state of Grace, but not yet fully purified, undergo intense suffering to atone for their sins. It is important to offer prayers and Masses for the Poor Souls, especially Gregorian Masses, and acts of Charity for the relief of these souls. Purgatory is a manifestation of God’s Justice and His Mercy. We need to strive for holiness in this life to avoid the suffering of purgatory and to assist the holy souls through spiritual works of mercy. Books recommended in this Mission Sermon: Purgatory: Explained by the Lives and Legends of the Saints Saint Thomas Aquinas Summa Theologica The Treatise on Purgatory by Saint Catherine of Genoa Citations mentioned in this Mission Sermon: Saint Augustine: “It cannot be doubted that the prayers of the Church, the Holy Sacrifice, and alms distributed for the departed relieve those holy souls.” Saint Bonaventure: “Ponder in mind on the joy of heaven… let your soul hunger and your body thirst for it.” Saint Catherine of Genoa: “How terrible are those expiatory pains since they have caused me to mistake minutes for a year.” Saint Gregory: “The same fire torments the damned and purifies the elect.” Saint Monica (to Saint Augustine): “The one thing I ask of you is that you will be mindful of me at the altar of the Lord.” Saint Anthony Mary Claret: “The souls in hell are like fish in water, but they are in fire—consumed by it.”   "Video" versions of the podcasts are posted to Odysee, Rumble and sometimes on YouTube (The censors at YouTube don't like Father's preaching so we're not posting everything because we don't want his channel nuked). To prepare well for death, meditate on it daily, as Scripture and the Saints advise. The thought of death restrains sin while ignoring it leads to presumption and spiritual ruin. Always remain in a state of Grace because death is certain but its timing is unknown. Avoid the illusion that you can repent later: many die suddenly, without warning. Detach now from worldly possessions and pleasures, as death separates you from all earthly things. Live as if today were your last day, focusing on prayer, fasting, almsgiving, and devotion to God. The road to heaven is found in the Church, the Sacraments, and obedience to God’s will. Do not delay repentance: God’s Mercy is great, but His Justice is both great and real as well. Citations mentioned in this Mission Sermon: St. Alphonsus Liguori – On meditating on death to avoid sin St. Gregory – God conceals the hour of death so we remain vigilant St. Bernard – Always live in expectation of death to avoid sin St. Robert Bellarmine – The art of dying well requires living well St. Augustine – God hides the day of death to keep us prepared St. Vincent Ferrer – Few habitual sinners receive the grace of a good death St. Jerome – Most who persist in sin until death are lost Book of Tobias, Ch. 12 – Prayer, fasting, and almsgiving deliver the soul from death Gospel of Matthew, Ch. 24 – Be ready, for you do not know the hour Isaiah 29:13 – True prayer comes from the heart, not just the lips James 4:3 – Prayers must be rightly ordered to be effective Books recommended in this Mission Sermon: St. Alphonsus Liguori – Preparation for Death St. Alphonsus Liguori – Counsels for Confessors St. Robert Bellarmine – The Art of Dying Well St. Leonard of Port Maurice – The Little Number of Those Who Are Saved   "Video" versions of the podcasts are posted to Odysee, Rumble and sometimes on YouTube (The censors at YouTube don't like Father's preaching so we're not posting everything because we don't want his channel nuked). In this episode Father discusses that we are, in a de facto sense, already in World War 3 and all hell is breaking loose. Whether it’s escalations in Ukraine, Putin threatening nuclear war for Christmas, Rome’s introduction of a new Mayan Liturgical Rite, the ongoing genocide in the middle East, the USCCB through their Campaign for Human Development directly funding inherently moral evils… it all adds up to the URGENT need to not only stay in the State of Grace but to double-down on personal sanctity! In this episode we return to the topic of Mental Prayer with specific emphasis on how to start mental prayer. Much of the content in this episode is taken from Saint Peter Alcantara’s excellent work “A Golden Treatise on Mental Prayer” and discusses how to get going with mental prayer and sources of meditations. This is an essential daily practice in the quest for spiritual perfection and holiness, without which it will be far harder to embrace the crosses God sends us, the crosses that will draw us closer to Him and sanctification.
