On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we were given a sharp reminder of the thin veil between this life and the next as we heard about brutal stabbing deaths of a Hollywood actor/ director and his wife. We turned to our favorite missionary to the entertainment industry to put this tragedy into context and help you expand your prayer list as family, friends and the industry grapple with this devastating reminder that eternity is merely a breath away.  Although it is not as loud as it has been in recent years, the clanging bells of climate change supporters continue to impact and influence policies that impact all of our lives. We turned to an expert in this field once again to get a clear, science based, biblically grounded understanding the issues including the frigid temperatures this December the concerns over who will pay for the new AI power plants and who will pay for them.  We talked to a man who puts shoe leather to his fight against abortion who shared some of his experiences in front of clinics attempting to save the likes of preborn children. He also addressed a new report that looks at the link between mothers who have abortions and their later emotional distress.  Then we turned to a man who continues to gather vital statics on faith in the United States to explain why there is a serious confusion among so many about eternity, salvation and repentance. Janet’s daughter joined us for another wide-ranging conversation on matters that involved the education of our kids. She told us about the troubles in the Seatle school system, an important victory against the force use of pronouns and an important women’s sports case that the courts will address in the new year. Once again you filled up our phone lines with your calls on the topic of spiritual warfare as one our favorite teachers continued his directing us to God’s word as the source of power and truth against the supernatural forces arrayed against us. From antisemitic attacks around the world to increased oppression from China to the increased encroachment of artificial intelligence, our need to have a biblically sound way to look at and understand the events going around has never been more apparent. That is why we once again invite you to another important conversation with our favorite husband and wife team who continue to teach us how to examine the news through the unfiltered lens of scripture.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Narcissism is challenge for family and friends anytime of the year but especially during the holiday season. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we turned once again to respected therapist who specializes in addressing the multitude of challenges that come with living with a narcissist to give us clear, biblically grounded guidance on dealing with this challenging personality type at this time of year.  China continues its undeterred pursuit of oppression and control as it spreads its influence around the world. To understand just how dangerous this push for control and domination we once again enlisted the expertise of an expert on national security matters to address the pressure that led to the nation’s only democracy focused political party and why our leaders are not addressing the glaring vulnerabilities on our electrical system to Chinese attack. Talking to your kids about the issues that surround sexuality has always been a challenge but in our social media saturated culture our kids are exposed to so much more at a much earlier age and Christian parents can’t shy away from setting up a good, age-appropriate foundation for their kids. We turned to an expert who explained how to explain the proper age to start taking to your kids about sex, how to explain what sexual sin is and how to handle the anxiety and fear that comes with speaking to your kids about such a sensitive topic. This week we were all reminded of the evil of antisemitism as we saw the horrific video of the father and son shooters at the Bondi Beach Hanukkah celebrations in Australia. How should believers respond? Our guest a messianic Jewish believer addressed the complicated issue of antisemitism, exposing its demonic roots and presenting clear, biblically sound guidance on how God’s people should respond to His chosen ones. Even as we head into the Christmas season, deception and misleading ideas continue to populate the news feeds and social media so your need to be ever vigilant watchmen and watchwomen on the walls to protect our families never stops. The idea of “gay celibacy” on its face sounds like a reasonable idea our guest exposed the deception of it. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we spoke to a former gay man who is now on the front lines of this issue who explained the confusion that this idea is creating in the lives of people and why some Christian leaders are buying into this false narrative that discounts God’s clear guidance for feel good teaching that dismiss the truth. The transformation of lives in Iran is still going on and we shared more stories of God at work in that Middle Eastern nation. But these are still dangerous times in that part of the world and we spoke to a man who has served over there for many years as he shared stories of the persecution those who choose Jesus face and despite their persecution, there unwillingness to deny their faith. For many people Hanukkah is considered a “Jewish version of Christmas” because they don’t really understand the significance of the celebration. But just as Christmas focuses on the birth of Jesus, our guest a respected leader in Jews for Jesus, shared the true story of this celebration and how Jesus fits into it.  Just as Jesus came once as a babe, He will return to earth but in a much different form with a much different purpose. We spoke to a highly respected pastor who says that believers should not fear His return but use its inevitability as motivation and drive to live out their faith with courage and boldness. The real St. Nick was not a jolly old man driving a sleigh of magic reindeer but a real man of deep faith. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week learned more about this very important man and his deep and sacrificial devotion to God and to others. We tend to think of economics in terms of financial figures, but our guest shared a power story of how the free market and what it provides became a life saving factor in her daughter’s life and a life changing factor in her own. We once again spent time with an expert in the area of technology to address the growing concerns over the increased use of artificial intelligence, better known as A.I.. He shared his insights into the concerns that parents should have about this ever-encroaching technology and how it has and will continue to impact the lives of their children. The story of God becoming man in the form of a babe in a manger is so much bigger than we tend to think. We spoke to a highly respected pastor who pulled back the veil of eternity to help us see the powerful lessons about God encased in His choice to become flesh and dwell among us. It is THAT time of year again. A time where, despite all good intentions, it is often impossible to avoid stress as we prepare and celebrate the Christmas season. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we once again gave you the opportunity to sit in on another powerful conversation with the leading expert on the human brain as he discussed the connection between how we think and how we feel. He also explained how the powerful impact of chronic physical and emotional pain are rooted in the brain and what we need to do to reclaim a life that is pain free and vibrant once again. The stories have made their way from sub-Saharan Africa to the news feeds and broadcasts around the world. The violent killings of Christians continues unabated. We told you about an effort that you can be a part of which is providing much needed help to those who are suffering under this monstrous persecution. The mainstream acceptance of assisted suicide is leading to a dangerous trend in the U.K. as support for hospice care is being dropped in favor of euthanasia. We were visited once again by a friend to the program who is on the front lines of fighting the unique God-given dignity of humanity who explained how to transformation took place and commented on the once famous Germans twins who committed assisted suicide recently at the age of 89. Using his own life story as a foundation a chaplain & retired Brigadier General learned how despite disappointments and setbacks that can challenge us that we can always hold on to the truth that God is still for us. As we turn our hearts toward the Christmas season, we are reminded of the miraculous events of birth of Jesus. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we took a closer look at the topic of miracles. Our guest, a highly respected author and former atheist shared his research into the topic by clearing up the confusion over what is and is not a miracle and through some amazing examples demonstrating how belief in the God who still performs miracles substantiates the gospel message. The demonic lie of antisemitism is gaining ground across this nation and around the world.  We turned once again to our expert on Israel to getter a better understand the biblical origins of this hateful belief system and why a belief in Dispensationalism in not heresy as some are trying to say. All roads do not lead to Heaven, despite what many would have you believe. A highly respected pastor cleared up the confusion that says that whether you believe in Jesus, Buddha or Muhammad you ultimately will end up in the same place. He turned to scripture to show the fallacy of this kind of thinking and why Christ is the one and only way of salvation. Are right and wrong simply a situational idea that ebbs and flows according to our feelings or the prevailing thoughts of the day? Or have we been given clear lines from a sovereign God to guide and direct us in this life? Our guest tackled this very challenging question with clear, biblical insight and understanding.  The end of the week is upon as and it is once more time to turn our focus on some of the story that made headlines this week as we continue to examine them under the magnifying glass of scripture.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Israel and the Jewish people always seem to be in the headlines. Terrorism. War. Antisemitism on university campuses and around the globe. Jews are the topics of conversation in podcasts, on school campuses, and in our homes. Yet Christians are wondering about the modern State of Israel and contemporary Jewish people. Are they related to the biblical kingdom of Israel and the ancient Jewish people of the Scriptures? Others question whether Jewish people are only God’s people of yesterday, or do they have an ongoing place in God’s plan? How does the Church relate to the Jewish people, and why should Christians care about the Jewish people and their homeland? David Limbaugh, best-selling author, will join us to dig into the New Testament epistles with passion and imagination, showing that the testimony of Jesus’ earliest followers provides irrefutable proof of His resurrection. Inspired by God and penned by the apostles, the epistles were written to the first Christians to proclaim the divinity of Christ and to encourage them to persevere through persecution, famine, sickness, and doubt. On a lawyerly quest for truth, David looks behind these biblical texts, exploring the lives of their authors, who included some of those closest to the Lord—His most intimate friends, Peter and John, and His own kinsmen James and Jude. Our Bridegroom is coming! When you at long last meet Him face to face, will you be pleasing to Him? Are we seeing a rise of the most dangerous personality type among the Gen Z generation? On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we started off the week with our expert on narcissism addressing this very issue along with more of your questions. Once again using both her professional training and her personal experiences, continued to show us to how to biblically address the many challenges that come with having a narcissist in your life and family. A joyful biking adventure around the world turned into a horrible tragedy of violence and death at the hands of ISIS terrorists. We were once again joined by a prolific author who tackled their amazingly tragic story. His meticulous research and gifted ability to tell a story takes us right into their experiences, the transformative encounters along the way and how and why one member’s hopeful but naïve view of the world became a doorway to their demise. The idea of “spiritual stupidity” may seem at first blush offensive but as our guest, a highly respected evangelist and author pointed out, the bible is filled with stories of people who were spiritually stupid who did not take the warnings from God seriously and lived to regret that choice sometimes with eternal consequences. Through the stories of Adam & Eve, their sons, King Saul and others our guest reminded us that God is both a merciful and a serious God and that His warning are real and not to be ignored. The incarnation of Christ, God becoming man and dwelling among us has been a rock of offense for many people throughout history. Many Jewish scholars has stumbled over it and tripping has created a wide chasm between Christians and Jews who share the same Messiah. But we were reminded that the incarnation is grounded in the Hebrew scriptures as prophecy and promise in the Old Testament and our guest used history, science to once again compelling show that the impossible did happen and that the acceptance or rejection of this amazing truth has wide ranging and eternal consequences for us all. From antisemitism to A.I. From Gaza tensions to government shutdowns. There has been no lack of news fighting for our attention this week. It can be easy to get overwhelmed by the constant onslaught. And that is why we invite you once again to join us for more lessons on the practical, real-time applications of God’s unbending truth as the measuring rod against the crooked, confused and sometimes completely deceptive goods that inform and influence the world around us through the news and social media that we consume daily.    Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we shared the powerful story of what it looks like when you follow God’s prompting wherever He may lead you. For our guest that prompting led to the creation of a human trafficking air rescue mission. He shared how God provided all that he needed even when he had no airplane, no plans and no experience. His story was a powerful reminder to us all of what utter dependance upon God REALLY looks like. As we approach the holiday season we can be forgiven for allowing ourselves to fall into a false sense of spiritual security. But once again, our guest reminded us that Satan and the demons do not take holidays or time off and that spiritual warfare is real business for them. We once again tackled you most challenging questions on this multi-faceted topic with a man who has been in the trenches of this battle and who brings solid, biblically sound advice and experience to guide us a deeper trust and dependance upon God to stand against the enemy. Antisemitism is an ancient evil that has once again taken center stage in the minds and hearts of so many people around the world. Dress in new motivations, it is still the same old lie that led to the Nazi holocaust and so many other tragedies across time. Our guest took us back in time to help us understand more of the roots of this evil and then he addressed how antisemitism is being used to deceive and motivate hatred in the unsuspecting through Islam and the liberal ideology of our day. We shared with you the literal life saving message of hope from a highly respected doctor who told us about a way to reverse the life altering impact of the abortion pill process after it has been started. Our guest shared how this abortion pill reversal treatment has since become a mission to inform anyone considering abortion and to save the lives of preborn children before it is too late. Another week is behind us, but we dare not rest on our laurels when it comes to being vigilant about the influences that we allow to impact our lives. That’s why we continue our open invitation for you to take a seat in our radio classroom as our favorite husband and wife teaching team continue showing us how to use the God’s word to measure again the many, many crooked ideas and deceptive delusions that permeate our world today.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Dr. Brian J. Crawford will join us to navigate the complex intellectual landscape that has traditionally separated Jews and Christians. His focus is on a scandalous claim: God became a man as Jesus of Nazareth. Since the Middle Ages, Jewish philosophers have said such an idea is impossible and absurd, and Jewish mystics have said the idea is redundant, for all things are inhabited by divine sparks. By critically examining the philosophical underpinnings of the Maimonidean and Kabbalistic thought that has shaped Jewish theology, Dr. Crawford will construct a compelling case for the incarnation that is grounded in the Hebrew Scriptures, consistent with history, informed by science, and illuminated by philosophical inquiry.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Ray Comfort joins us this hour to discuss idiotic things people did in the Bible. He will take us on a totally honest, occasionally funny, and always eye-opening journey through some of the most idiotic blunders ever recorded in human history. You’d think that seeing the Red Sea split in two, or watching fire fall from heaven, or hearing the audible voice of God would cause someone to behave wisely. But no! These stories aren’t just ancient history—they’re warnings, lessons, and yes, sometimes tragic comedies that speak to our modern messes. As you’ll see, spiritual stupidity isn’t limited by era. Yet, through it all, we’re reminded that God is holy, merciful, and not to be trifled with. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we took a look at what experts are describing as a rapid cultural shift in America’s thinking about sin. Our guest shared the results of a comprehensive study that shows people today have grown lax on what is and is not considered sinful in today’s world, Our guest took us back to scripture to remind us that the only way to combat this modern thinking is by staying grounded in God’s unchanging truth. Then we turned our eyes to the life and death situations facing believers in places like Nigeria, Malaysia, China and India as the persecuted church around the globe continues to boldly proclaim God’s truth despite the dangers they are facing.  Israel continues to be a topic of conversation, controversy and scrutiny today. We turned to our highly respected expert on the nation, its history and its prophetic future to discuss the latest controversy surrounding how the Jewish people are being viewed through the media, what is behind the increase of antisemitism in America and around the world and what believers can do to stand up and with God’s chosen people. Can we really trust what the bible says about the resurrection of Jesus Christ? For believers the answer is a foregone conclusion but for skeptics that may be a much harder pill to swallow. That’s why we spent time with an accomplished attorney who turned his truth-finding training toward the examination of the lives of the men who knew Jesus and how their testimony and lives provide clear, undeniable proof of his resurrection and divinity. How do you lovingly engage people who angrily claim that abortion is just a medical procedure, without consequence and that it is the mother’s choice because it is her body? Our guest gave us practical insight and guidance on the complex issues surrounding abortion and how to address with truth and love to the hearts and minds of those who have been deceived by these prevalent lies. Our need to observe and understand the times we are living in through the clear and focused lens of scripture continues to grow. That is why Janet and Craig continue to extend their open invitation to join them for a practical, biblical and enlightening discussion of some of the biggest headlines of the week as measured against God’s straight stick of truth.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Today’s church is dealing with challenges that prior generations could never dream of. One of the biggest is the area of gender confusion. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we spoke to a woman who shared her own journey with someone who struggled with gender issues in her family. She explained the important issues related this this topic that believers need to be aware of and the heartbreaking stories of people who now live with the consequences and regret of having surgery to alter their bodies from the appearance of their God-given sex at birth. We also know that the Bible is the inspired word of God but how many of us have ever thought of the amazing journey from the days of the testaments to the book you can buy in almost any bookstore in the nation. Our guest took us on a journey in our radio time machine to share the amazing story of the best-selling book in human history. Along the way he told us how the New Testament writings were collected and copied, the differences and similarities between the Christian bible and the Jewish holy books and differences between the bible translations. They are not cute little cherubs with wings but powerful being who serve an infinitely more powerful God. Our guest took us behind the supernatural veil that separates this world from the next to give us a better understanding of God’s holy messengers, the angels. She explained the different types of angels that we see in scripture, their many appearances throughout the bible and she gave us a unique acronym to remember the many roles that these heralds of God perform. Roe V. Wade may be a thing of the past, but abortion and all of its tendril complications are far from over. Our guest addressed the FDA’s recent approval of a generic abortion drug and the implications of that decision in the fight to save the pre-born. We also gave you the opportunity to hear some amazing stories of God at work through the life, talent and service of the man who leads worship in Washington D.C. As we close out another week our favorite husband and wife duo continue to teach us how to be watchers on the wall for our families, our churches and our communities through the active implementation of God’s truth against the confusing and misleading ideas that populate the news each week.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Today, we speak to Dr. Calum Miller, who is an ethicist and a philosopher who cares passionately about the issue of pre-born life. Join us as he teaches us how to enter into the debate with the winsome truth of biology and the compelling grace-filled way in which we can convey hope to a woman who struggles in this area. The result is an unforgettable encounter with Jesus.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
The Bible speaks of angels often. They were present in the Garden of Eden, and throughout the story of the Bible, they appear to people with messages, encouragement, and tangible help. Angels ministered to Jesus after His temptation and before His crucifixion, and they shared the good news of His resurrection. Despite their frequent appearance in God’s Word, our impression of angels is more often shaped by the myths and misconceptions that have developed over the centuries. Join Melissa Spoelstra as she traverses the terrain of Scripture from Genesis to Revelation to learn about angels—who they are, what they do, and what they have to do with youBecome a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Sometimes people think that if they pray or wish hard enough, their transgender tendencies will just disappear. This is an unrealistic expectation. It is not reasonable to expect an overnight change in the area of gender or sexual confusion. The problem takes years to develop. In a world devastated by the cataclysm of war, two extraordinary authors and friends, J. R. R. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis, delivered a bracing vision of the human story: a path back to goodness, beauty, and faith. How did they do it? For the first time, historian Joseph Loconte explains how the catastrophe of World War II transformed the lives and literary imagination of Tolkien and Lewis. The mechanized slaughter of the First World War had created a storm of disillusionment with the political and religious ideals of Western civilization. The new ideologies of Modernism, communism, Nazism, and totalitarianism rushed to fill the vacuum. At stake was a contest between civilization and barbarism. A movement seeks to redefine Christianity. Some think that it is a much-needed progressive reformation. Others believe that it is an attack on historic Christianity. Alisa Childers never thought she would question her Christian faith. She was raised in a Christian home, where she had seen her mom and dad feed the hungry, clothe the homeless, and love the outcast. She had witnessed God at work and then had dedicated her own life to leading worship, as part of the popular Christian band ZOEgirl. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we looked back at the “No Kings” marches that took place across the nation. Janet and Craig shared their observations and biblically grounded insights into this national event and who and what was the driving force behind it. Depression has become a popular topic of discussion on podcasts and programs in our society. But have you ever heard of spiritual depression? We spoke to a pastor who defined spiritual depression and what causes it.  He also shared with us the 5 steps to developing a spiritually healthy life. A man who was raised in a traditional Jewish home shared the powerful story of how he came to Christ through the love and witness of his Christian girlfriend. Why is the family under attack today? How can parents protect their children from the dangerous social doctrines that are permeating our schools today?  She joined us to call believers to defend our families during these concerted attacks at the foundation of our society. How do you see clearly through the fog of the confusing half-truth, deceptions and straying ideas we hear in our news daily. We do it by using the Bible as the straight stick of truth and measuring all ideas that come our way against it. The news never stops and neither does our need to weigh it against the clear and unbiased scale of scripture. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we told you about efforts to prevent Islamic sharia law from taking root in this country like it has in the U.K.  Also in the U.K., we told you about a new law that send Christian preachers to prison for 2 years and how free speech is being cut off in Canada. Progressive Christianity continues to deceptively mislead believers away from biblical truth. We spoke with a highly respected apologist who shared her own personal story of escaping that confusion herself and learned how this modern teaching replaces sin and redemption with the teaching of social justice and why believers need to have a deeper view of God’s word and an elevated view of God. Once again, we turned to a friend of the program and a highly respect bible teacher as we tackled your most challenging questions related to the bible and how to live out your Christian life.  The host of a popular radio show focused on the bible and the Holy Land has taken that experience and put into book form to help other believers deepen their faith by experience the land that Jesus and the people of scripture walked. He shared the powerful transformative experience that seeing these places and relating them to their scriptural passages, even from a distance, can help you grow in your faith. Can we really believe what some experts say when they claim that the ever-encroaching acceptance and use of artificial intelligence is value neutral? On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we had a frank discussion with a highly respected expert in the tech arena who explained why this technology is not value neutral, how AI and its precursor social media were purposely designed to become addictive and how their use can lead to a distant relationship with God.  Despite the popular ideas in the media our guest, a former follower of Islam warned us about the foundational truth of Islam and how its theologically political beliefs are advanced either by word of mouth or the edge of the sword. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we told you about a powerful new documentary that drives home the brutal reality of the October 7th attacks in Israel and the violent evil perpetrated by Hamas, in all its stark, unflinching truth. Then we turned our attention once again to China as we heard about that nations move to create gestational robots to carry human babies to term. We discussed the deeper issues related to the technology as it serves as another step to acceptance of a transhumanist view of mankind, ignoring the unique God given role we have as a part of His divine plan.  Alcoholism and other types of addiction can seem like insurmountable mountains to overcome but our guest opened the door of his personal journey to share how he found true liberty in a deeper dependance on God. He shared a 4-step plan that can lead anyone who struggles with an addiction to true freedom. We stamped your ticked for a radio flight to Australia and another informative visit with our favorite Scottish apologist. He made us aware of some significant changes going on in the U.K. that are opening the door to increased acceptance of Islam and Islamic law and the dangers to religious freedom that acceptance creates for believers. He also uncovered the motivations behind those recent U.K. unity marches.  We gave you an update on how Christians in Iran are faring in these challenging times and we helped you extend your prayer list with our favorite missionary to the entertainment industry as she shared more stories of God moving and changing the lives of the biggest influencers in the world. We started this week on the anniversary of the October 7th attack by Hamas on Israel and her people in 2023. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we turned to our expert on the Jewish people, their history and their prophetic future to talk about the impact of this brutal event, where we stand now in regards to negotiations to end the war and return the hostages and why so many people are turning away from the biblical truth that the Jews are indeed God’s chosen people. But what if one of the most essential types of courage is smaller and more intimate but just as important?  Our guest shared her own journey to discover what it means to address the wounds of life and discover the roadmap to true biblical courage and how that discovery can give each of us the ability to make fearless choices that honor God and bring transformative change to our lives and the lives of others. A highly respected evangelist shared with us the role of the conscious in convicting people of their sin and revealing their need for salvation. Should schools determine the mental well-being of our children? An expert in family matters joined us to explore the deeper implications of a new bill that proposes mental health checks for children and why parents should be highly concerned over such a proposal. We have finally reached the end of another eventful week and it is time once again to focus our attention to the front of our radio classroom as your favorite husband and wife teaching team continue to educate us on the many ways that living our lives with a newspaper in one hand the Bible in the other allows us to cut through the confusion of the many voices vying for our attention in today’s marketplace of ideas so that we can hear the clear clarion call of God’s leading for our lives.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

While the Christian community loves stories of salvation, it struggles with stories of sanctification--the often-messy journey of becoming like Jesus. As a result, many Christians who stumble are mired in shame, especially when it comes to one of society's biggest post-Covid obsessions: alcohol. But there is hope for those willing to rethink their drinking. Jonathon M. Seidl will join us to tell his own story of disordered drinking. Not only will he address the roots of addiction, trauma, and the often-overlooked reality that Christians aren't immune to sin struggles, he will also reframe the term alcoholic and share the practical yet spiritual four-step process he used to break free.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

The long-simmering crisis that grips our culture has exploded in recent years, leaving us divided and intransigent. Discourse seems futile when we are no longer a people with shared principles or even a shared understanding of reality. What seems obvious to one person is patently absurd to the next. This collapse of meaning is not accidental. It has been plotted and documented for decades and now presents in its current form as Woke ideology. It seems like everywhere you turn anymore there are stories in the news that challenge us to think critically and biblically about what is going on around us. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we spoke to our expert on climate and the environment and the regulations regarding them and he told us about some important changes regarding classification of carbon dioxide, why the European Union wants more use of artificial intelligence and more conflicts with the NetZero polices being heralded just a few short years ago. Then we spoke to a front line fighter for American sovereignty as she continues to update on of the World Health Organization’s unrelenting push to impose international health regulations on all people in all countries that will digital I.D.’s that can track every aspect of your life and would open the door to the kind of social control currently in practice in communist China. Our guest explained why legislation is needed to protect our national sovereignty from this invasive effort and we posted a link to a petition you can sign on our website so that you can join in the fight. Traditional, orthodox Christian beliefs that were once both commonly known and universally accepted are being challenged like never before. Preachers and teachers are leading people astray with what the apostle Paul referred to as “another gospel”. Our guest said that this confusion is leading to legalism, wrong thinking about grace and an over emphasis on prosperity. He took us back to the scriptures to expose these lies and subtle deceptions as a way of lifting their burden off of people’s hearts and turning once again back to the unchanging power and truth of the true gospel. It is fair to say that the Christian life has no power apart from the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the grave. That world transforming event, broke the curse of sin and set captive humanity free. But how much do we avail ourselves of that transformative power? Our guest, a respected apologist, explained the archeological evidence to His resurrection, why His resurrection is SO important and how to use that truth to draw others to the foot of His cross. Once again, we encouraged you to bring your questions to our conversation with a respected expert on the encroachment of the so-called ‘gay gospel”. Having come out of that lifestyle, our guest has been able to see its growing impact on the church of today and how much more acceptance of this false gospel has grown over the years. He offered clear, biblical sound answers to some of the most challenging aspects of this issue for families, friends and churches. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we kicked off the week with some much-needed encouragement as our guest took us to the final book of the Bible to explain some of the most common confusions and to prepare us for the glorious future God has planned for His children. We took a look at the importance of the 7 churches of Revelation, explained who the Anti-Christ is and drew a picture of what life in the millennial kingdom will really be like.  Why is there such a stigma in the church regarding mental health? Our guest explained the importance of church’s recognizing the need to care for members who struggle with mental health concerns, what is involved in creating a mental health team at your church and she shared some encouraging stories of church teams that are working and producing life-transformative results. If your well has run dry from the bombardment of our “me driven” society and you need a time of true refreshment, we had the perfect escape for you as we spoke to a Canadian pastor who challenged us to turn away from the distractions of this world and to turn our eyes toward the omnipotence of God. He says that once we can find deep and abiding hope and encouragement for our lives when we turn our focus onto Him and His power, beauty and goodness. We returned to the topic of mental health in the church later in the week because it is a multi-faceted issue. Our second guest to address this topic is a counselor and former pastor who has seen this from behind the pulpit and among the people. He says that church leaders lack the training necessary to help those who struggle. He offered clear, biblically sound guidance for recognizing the symptoms of mental illness and how to minister God’s love and provide support for those who are hurting. The end of another week is upon us. So, it is time to ring the class bell and get in our seats as our favorite teaching team continue showing us how to develop a biblically discerning eye as we examine the news we find in the marketplace of ideas every day.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

For an anxious and weary world, the gospel of Jesus Christ is the one true source of deep peace and lasting joy. But today, many supposedly Christian teachers are spreading ideas that amount to what Paul called "another gospel." The result? A generation of believers confused about what God really says, what he offers, and what he wants for his children. From the heavy burden of legalism to an overemphasis on prosperity or spiritual gifts to warped understandings of grace, every false teaching has two things in common: they all use half-truths that look and sound biblical (making them very difficult to identify) and they all harm and discourage those who are trying to follow the way of Jesus. In the light of recent and tragic events, believers around the world are choosing to take a bolder stand on their faith in ways they have never done before. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we spoke with a pastor whose experience during the COVID church restrictions in California led to a deeper understanding of what it means to defy authority to take an unwavering stand to be bold for the gospel. He shared the transformative lessons that seem particularly timely in the light of impact of the killing of Charlie Kirk and the backlash that has come as a result of it. Our guest explained how the presence of faithful believers is a reminder of judgment and the need for salvation to a fallen world. The veil between our world and the supernatural one is very thin and therefore elicits many questions and confusions for believers. Our guest, who has been led by the Lord to minister in this very specific area of service, cut through the confusion on this topic and offered us clear, grounded biblical insight. Many people are faithful in prayer but not so much in another important Christian discipline, fasting. Our guest, a highly respected pastor and teacher explained the importance of both of these spiritual practices to the life of the believer and how important they are to the strengthening of the Christian’s faith walk and deeper relationship with God. Feminism, the ideology dedicated to "smashing the patriarchy," has made male lives the norm for everyone. After fifty years of radical feminism, we can’t even define "woman." The dark side of artificial intelligence is showing its ugly head a lot sooner than many people expected. From mental disorders to suicides AI is proving to be more dangerous than many of us are prepared to deal with. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we engaged in a conversation with an expert in this rapidly advancing tech field who offered a timely warning to us all about the secular transhumanism beliefs held by many of the creators of this technology, the dangers of emergent misalignment and why AI robs people of the divine spark of creativity that God put in us all. Prayer is one of the most challenging parts of the Christian life and also one of the most important.  We turned to an accomplished bible teacher who took us to God’s word to teach us through scripture how to pray effectively. Our guest helped us understand the relational nature of this one-way communion with our creator. Using scripture, he showed us that even when it seems like your prayers are bouncing off the ceiling and God is otherwise occupied, that He is not unresponsive and He is ALWAYS attentive to His children. Our guest also showed us how to a deeper sense of God’s ever-present goodness enable us to rest in His perfect timing when He appears to be silent. Our nation is at a point of crisis, and it seems as though we have slid so far down there is no way to get back up. But our guest a highly decorated military leader says that even though we are on a dangerous trajectory, it is not too late if we are willing to do the hard and real work to turn our nation around and back Judeo-Christian values it was founded upon. He outlined a direct strategy to help us reset the future of our nation for ourselves and the generations that follow, if we are willing to do the hard, honest work it requires. This week the nation and world were reminded of just how evil the days really are and in times like these anyone could be forgiven for wondering is God is really paying attention? Does He really care? The answer to that is a simple one, YES He is! In fact, nothing that is happening across the planet is, has or ever will catch the Sovereign of Creation off guard. Our guest encouraged us to go deeper into our understanding of the kindness of God and helped us to see His unchanging goodness as a living light in our cold and cruel world. It is time for another biblically grounded assessment of the headlines of the week through the unchanging lens of scripture as we discern truth from lies and bring clarity out of confusion.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
Have you ever felt like God left you on the back burner? If you have, you are not alone. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week one of our favorite writers and teachers was back to share the story Zechariah and Elizabeth from the New Testament and show how God is working even when we don’t see it or His timing doesn’t match with our own. Our guest explains how God removes our fears and weaves His grace in and through even the most prolonged span of waiting.  Nobody is exempt from the love of God and that includes even some of the most dyed in the wool atheists in the world today. Our guest shared some amazing stories of just how powerful the gospel message is as she shared the amazing true accounts of former atheist who met the living Christ and despite their deep-seated resistance eventually turned their hearts and lives over to Him. In the midst of this typical week, the nation was shocked by the brazen assassination of  popular fighter for conservative values, husband, father and follower of Jesus, Charlie Kirk. Janet and her guest addressed this terrible tragedy and helped us all place our hearts in the right place by encouraging us not to respond in anger and to lift his wife and very young children at this terrible time. Janet’s guest also addressed their scheduled topics related to the end of abortion services at a D.C. location and an update on the FDA and the Covid vaccine. What is it like to be on the ground in the Israel right now? An expert on the intersection of Jewish history and biblical prophecy joined us live from Israel to update us what is happening there as the Gaza war continues. The tragedy earlier this week once again emphasized the need for believers to live with the Bible open and ready to examine everything we see and hear in the news, on feeds and in the culture writ large. Janet and Craig continue their work to show all of us how to be faithful watchmen and watchwomen on the walls surrounding our families, our nation and our world.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Lt.Col Olivier North, USMC (retired), an American hero, will address those concerned about the cultural decline they see all around them, people who watch the nightly news and ask themselves, “What is happening to our country?” It seems we have become a nation of people who are offended by everything but sin. What is happening to our country is simple to explain but sad to observe: we are seeing what a culture of sin can do to a country. Within the problem is the solution. Biblical morality reestablished in America by an uprising of God’s people standing for righteousness will bring God’s forgiveness and our healing.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

For Christians, one of our earliest lessons―and greatest gifts―is learning how to pray. And yet many of us believe our prayer lives fall short. Dr. John Koessler will reassure us that this has nothing to do with motivation or method. Our problems are relational, and recognizing this is the first step to having a better prayer life. Prayer is a conversation that moves primarily in one direction: from the believer who prays to the God who hears. If God appears silent, that does not mean that He is unresponsive. We always have God's attention. We are invited to gain a sense of God, of His goodness, and the rich welcome that is waiting for us every time we approach Him in the name of Jesus Christ.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
In a Western culture of increasing skepticism towards conservative Christianity, what motivates intellectually driven atheists to believe in the reality of God and become passionate followers of Christ? A review of social science literature confirms a predominant functional approach to religious conversion, effectively reducing a complex, substantive phenomenon to a partial functional explanation. Today, Jana Harmon will take a broader look at religious conversion to determine the precursors and pathways from atheistic disbelief to belief in God and Christianity within an educated population. Many former atheists not only experienced a change in their worldview, but also a dramatic transformation of their ‘whole world.’Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

We’ve all heard the old adage, “If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life.” But is that REALLY true? On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week our guest introduced us to a step-by-step process that can teach us how to see work through a different lens than we have looked at it before and in the process teach us how to pursue truly purpose-driven, fulfilling work. For decades upon decades the lie that the Jewish people do not need the saving work of Jesus on the cross, but our guest says that lie is so dangerous because of the eternal consequences that come with believing it. Times are unsettled in the Middle East, especially in Iran. Then we shared the powerful personal journey of a woman who came to the foot of the cross through the valley the occult and demonism. As we end another week, just one look at the news reminds us once again that we live in a broken, backward world. Do Jews need Jesus? It's an age-old debate with eternal ramifications. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we heard the moving story of a man who was brought to his knees as he desperately prayed and sought God for the life of his micro preemie daughter. His powerful journey story is one of faith born in fire, heart wrenching prayer and miracles above and beyond his expectations. His story is a reminder to us all of what the power of a mustard seed of faith in God can do. The singular uniqueness of man as God’s creation in His image is constantly under attack today. Our guest who is a staunch defender of human exceptionalism updated us on the efforts to redefine human health through technology and the latest on the efforts in Wisconsin to give human rights to nature. The United States is not the only place struggling with the issue of immigration. The United Kingdom is also having its own issues, and the frustration has led to demonstrations in the streets and an increase presence of the Union Jack flag across the country. Our favorite Scottish apologist explained what is behind this fervor for increased nationalism in the U.K.  He also commented on the increased use as well as increase change of misuse of AI as we see more stories of emotional dependance on the technology with horrific consequences including some who have taken their own lives. College students are choosing avoidance as a way of dealing with people they don’t like. Our guest a respected family therapist explained why this “no contact” way of life is gaining popularity in the halls of higher education. She also explained the dangers for kids who do not learn how to address and work through the natural challenges that come with relationships to others. Her advice was timely guidance for parents as their kids head back to universities across the nation. Once again, we pull back the curtain on some of the biggest news stories of the week and examine them under the magnifying glass of God’s unchanging truth.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
We kicked off the week a guest whose life proves that no life is beyond saving by the Lord. On In The Market with Janet Parshall this week we heard from a man whose life went from drugs and the dangerous life of the streets of New York to time in prison before God reached into his life and brought about an amazing transformation. He shared his personal journey and how God has transformed it into a ministry that is changing lives for the Kingdom. “Defending The Faith!” Just the statement seems like an overwhelming task and the fear of not knowing what to say has kept many from ever trying. But our guest explained what apologetics is and 5 strategic approaches for defending the faith to those who are seeking and searching for the answer to the ache in their souls. The generations that came and went before us could never have imagined that something as simple as human sexuality could be so tangled and confused as it is in our time. All around us people are trying to redefine God’s perfect design to fit their own ideas and comforts. But our guest drew us back to the simple, biblical guidelines set down by man’s creator and showed us how sexuality and identity are two sides of the same coin and why today’s popular viewpoint that being gay is unchangeable is wrong. When we live with deep hurts and woundings it is hard to sometimes to believe that we are even worthy of love. So, we push those hurts down deep inside and just learn to live with them. But our guest say that is not the way God intended for us to deal with these deep, abiding pains. This husband-and-wife therapy team joined us to share their insights on what true empathy is and how it is the door to finding true and lasting grace and healing from those pains. From the unrest in the Middle East, to the saber rattling of China, to the encroachment of AI in more and more part of our lives, there has never been a time where we needed to have a clear understanding of everything going on around us than the time we are living in now. That’s why Janet and Craig continue to invite you to join them as teach us all how to examine the news we hear daily through the lens of God’s truth so that we may better live and serve in these challenging times.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

You were made to live deeply loved--even in the midst of emotional pain, worry, or conflict. But too often when we're overwhelmed or hurting, we end up hiding our hurts and hopes, settling for shallow relationships. What's missing? Empathy. True empathy is understanding and care that respects God's truth and empowers personal responsibility. It's what your soul is longing for, and it's how Jesus relates to you. Drs. Bill and Kristi Gaultiere will join us to share true stories with compelling insights from Scripture and psychology to help you trade self-judgment for God's empathy and grace.Become a Parshall Partner: http://moodyradio.org/donateto/inthemarket/partnersSee omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
