Description: A JetBlue Airbus A321 arriving from Las Vegas reported a possible collision with a drone while on final approach to New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) on June 29, 2026. The pilot told air traffic control that the object struck the aircraft "right above the cockpit" at about 3,000 feet altitude, approximately 10–12 miles from the airport. The U.S. Supreme Court announced on June 30, 2026, that it will hear a major Second Amendment case to determine whether state and local bans on AR-15-style rifles and other semiautomatic "assault weapons" are constitutional.
