Sho, a 6th grade student in Pellston, Michigan, has been raising awareness for suicide prevention among kids after her young cousin died by suicide. Sho, Tammy and their community have rallied together to help others suffering from thoughts of self harm and to raise awareness about resources available to people in crisis. Tammy, who lost her sister to suicide, and Sho went about fundraising for special Suicide Awareness Benches to place in their community high school and veterans park to help those suffering to know that they world is a better place with them in it, and give some tools to help them stay another day.
