Madeline and Charlotte are thrilled to present the first ever Sports Gossip Show Awards. The gals hand out awards like The Most Puzzling Instagram Story By Tom Brady Award, Most Compressed Floral Wedding Award, The President of Our Universe Award, Best Hard Launch Award, and more. It’s a walk down memory lane through 2025 with some Sports Gossip Show main characters including Jordon Hudson, Aaron Rodgers, Paige Bueckers, A’ja Wilson, Bill Belichick, Lane Kiffin, Luka Doncic, Nico Harrison, Cathy Englebert, and more! Happy holidays and a happy New Year to all of the Shareholders out there. SGS would be nothing without you! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back with a complete gossip breakdown of the end of the Chiefs’ season — technically, there are several more games, but Kansas City is officially out of the playoffs — and Taylor Swift’s new documentary. The gals dive into quarterback Patrick Mahomes’ injury, Travis Kelce’s comments about the end of the team’s playoff dreams on his show New Heights, and talk about Taylor Swift going to the most recent game with Kylie Kelce, podcaster and sister-in-law of Travis. Then it’s time to get into the insane parallels between how Taylor Swift runs her operation — as seen in The Eras Tour documentary — and how NFL teams operate. The gals have thoughts about the narrative Taylor is trying to get across in the documentary, and why the whole project is a political and feminist statement.  Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline is back from the Galapagos and Charlotte is in a very exciting undisclosed location when it comes to The Sports Gossip Show (all will be revealed in due time)! The gals dive into the massive scandal surrounding former Michigan football head coach Sherrone Moore. He was charged with third-degree home invasion, stalking, and breaking and entering after he was allegedly at the home of the woman with whom he had been having an affair. Moore was fired, but it’s only the tip of the iceberg when it comes to Michigan Scandals in the last three years — Charlotte reads a list of the worst ones, and the gals talk about what Michigan can do moving forwards. Then it’s time for an LSU head coach Lane Kiffin yoga update, and Heisman-winner Fernando Mendoza gave the most adorable public-speaking-class speech of all time. Philip Rivers returned to the NFL to make his first start in five years with the Colts at the age of 44. Rivers has ten kids and is a grandfather!UNC head coach Bill Belchick went to another one of his girlfriend Jordon Hudson’s cheerleading competitions and also fired a bunch of his staffers. And, finally, professional golfer Ben Griffin married his wife Dana Myeroff in a “refined tropical luxury”-themed wedding in Palm Beach, Florida. Were the florals compressed? Listen to find out! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back to answer lots of the questions that their Shareholders sent in for this very special mailbag episode! The gals talk about the state of sports media, the fact that only 18% of sports podcasts are hosted by women, how they met and why they started this show, and what advice they’d give to anyone who wants to get into this business. They also answer questions about which athlete couple they would cast in a rom-com, who what they do with gossip that is too salacious to share, what will happen in the saga of Aaron Rodger’s wife, Brittani (whom no one has seen), their favorite stuff to travel with, and their gift guide for people who are still doing some holiday shopping! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline is in the Galapagos (extremely cool) so Charlotte is flying solo today with some help from Sports Gossip Show friends Grace Raynor and Jessica Smetana! Grace is a college football writer at The Athletic and Jess is the co-host of The Echoes, a Notre Dame podcast. They are both brilliant and SGS Shareholders should follow them if you don’t already!First, a monologue from Charlotte: Lena Dunham went to a Chiefs game with Taylor Swift (and Selena Gomez), but the Chiefs’ vibes are bad! They’re 6-7 and below .500 for the first time in December since 2012. Stanford soccer invited Taylor Swift to the women’s college cup game in Kansas City — she didn’t seem to go, and Florida State won anyway. Washington Spirit star and NWSL free agent Trinity Rodman had a deal blocked by the NWSL commissioner. Silly! Pay her! And, finally, Angel Reese and Paige Bueckers went to a Knicks game on behalf of Reese’s. Then it’s time to bring in Grace to talk about Ole Miss and Lane Kiffin’s breakup, and how Nick Saban’s daughter teased a messy Lane Kiffin story on TikTok. She also explains the shockingly good recruiting under Bill Belichick at UNC, the bad recruiting at Penn State, and a whole lot of other dramatic CFB stories!Jess then pops in to explain the College Football Playoffs and why people were apoplectic when Notre Dame was left out. This is a great explainer for anyone confused about college football — Jess makes it make more sense than it deserves to make. Thanks to Jess and Grace and all of the Shareholders out there! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte start the episode off with exclusive news about LSU head coach Lane Kiffin’s departure from Ole Miss. Also, Kiffin left his dog in Mississippi — but was it actually his dog? Plus: screenshots have surfaced of DMs Kiffin sent to women in Oxford, and people who took hot yoga classes with him are very glad he’s gone. Today in “your company is not your friend!” news: The Clippers abruptly sent NBA great Chris Paul home? And he’s no longer on the team? The gals have a lot of questions about what the Clippers were thinking here. The WNBA and WNBA players association pushed the deadline for a new collective bargaining agreement back to Jan 9. The W proposed raising the salary for players but they plan to cut team housing, as well as pushing the start date of the season up. The WAGs of the Patriots do seem to actually like each other! Former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and Patriots owner Bob Kraft are on the same ballot for the HoF, which means they could have to stand next to each other at the ceremony even though they seem to hate each other. Jordon Hudson filed a weird FOIA request. And, finally, Venus Williams is engaged to Andrea Preti! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back with another episode after a wild weekend of sports gossip. Patriots quarterback Drake Maye’s wife, Ann Michael Maye, is making a baking advent calendar on TikTok. The comments from men suggest that perhaps Patriots fans are becoming less toxic. Then it’s time for the big story of the week: coach Lane Kiffin left Ole Miss to become the next LSU head coach. His departure was messy, his introductory press conference was wild, and the chaos has only begun. Jordon Hudson may have called the paparazzi on herself….twice…and the last press conference by UNC head coach Bill Belichick was a joke (run time: four minutes and seventeen seconds). NBA star Klay Thompson named his boat after his girlfriend, Meghan Thee Stallion. Sixers star Tyrese Maxey competed in the National Dog Show — well, his dog did. Arsenal star Bukayo Saka is engaged to Tolami Benson and they did not pose with compressed flowers! And, finally: Beyonce posted about F1 star Lewis Hamilton on Instagram, and a hot dog stand in Chicago gave the city free hot dogs because Bears head coach Ben Johnson took his shirt off. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back with a doozy of a show. This is the last one before Thanksgiving, so they also want to say that they’re very grateful for their Shareholders!Today’s episode starts by shouting out Gotham FC for winning their second NWSL Championship. The Washington Spirit lost, and now their star, Trinity Rodman is a free agent — is this an inflection point for the NWSL (also, her boyfriend, tennis star Ben Shelton, was with her after the game). Jordon Hudson, UNC head coach Bill Belichick’s girlfriend, is online again, posting a veiled Instagram (maybe about SGS?) and then a not-so-veiled one. Also, Bill’s daughter-in-law Jenny reportedly went on a rant about Jordon, according to the NY Post. Anyway! Tate McCrae was spotted with New Jersey Devils star Jack Hughes, which could make for a very interesting Olympics. WNBA star Angel Reese and NBA star Wendell Carter Jr. confirm they’re dating! Taylor Swift is reportedly getting her Rhode Island house ready for her wedding to Travis Kelce. The Cowboys provided an update as to why CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens didn’t start in the opening drive last weekend, and it has to do with Las Vegas. Lane Kiffin coaching updates: LSU is reportedly preparing one of the richest contracts ever, seven years and as much as $98 million, for the current Ole Miss head coach. Kiffin will decide after Friday's Egg Bowl against rival Mississippi State, and the gals are very proud of Kiffin’s daughter Landry for masterminding this. The Dallas Wings got the No. 1 pick in the draft — will star Paige Bueckers and her girlfriend, Azzi Fudd, get to play together? What does the pope have to do with this? There is drama in the LA Lakers First Family: new ownership fired two Buss brothers. NBA stars Klay Thompson and Ja Morant are fighting. And finally, F1 Grand Prix Las Vegas drama involving Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri, and Max Verstappen.  Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back with a special edition that they’re calling “Play The Hits,” because this episode has all of SGS’s main characters in one show. First, Tom Brady wore the same Marty Supreme jacket as Karl-Anthony Towns and ballerina Misty Copeland, so the gals dug into it. They also went to a Marty Supreme screening the other night and had a blast — Timothée Chalamet, come on the pod! You all knew this was coming: Jordon Hudson competed in an adult cheerleading competition/showcase called Cheer Extreme All Stars in North Carolina. Her boyfriend, UNC head coach Bill Belichick, was there to support her, even as the UNC program sinks even further into the ocean of college football losses. Giants running back Cam Skattebo, who suffered a season-ending injury in October, went to a taping episode of WWE’s "Monday Night Raw" at Madison Square Garden, and Knicks Star Jalen Brunson had his back. The gals also had to talk more about Aaron Rodgers’ wife Brittani, because Madeline did some digging…and this woman is nowhere to be found. Then it’s time for Week 12 NFL vibes-based predictions, followed by two MLB weddings. Gavin Lux and Gunnar Henderson each wed their wives this past weekend. Were the flowers compressed? You’ve gotta listen to find out! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back with a banger of an episode if they do say so themselves! First off, Jordyn Woods got her boyfriend, Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns, a car from his childhood for his birthday. KAT also wore merch for the movie Marty Supreme, starring his friend and major Knicks fan Timothée Chalamet. Knicks fanatic and legendary filmmaker Spike Lee gave the pope a Knicks jersey. Travis Kelce broke the Chiefs’ record for most total touchdowns in team history, but the vibes are still bad!  Former Penn State head coach James Franklin was hired at Virginia Tech, where his good friend Brent Pry just got fired. The ties to the Prys go way back, because Franklin played for Brent’s dad in college. Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin seems to be up for the LSU and Florida coaching jobs, even though his Ole Miss team is going to make the CFB Playoffs for the first time. The only problem is that the governor of Louisiana recently called out Kiffin’s agent, which might not go over so well. Is Lane Kiffin’s daughter Landry actually masterminding this by dating LSU star Whit Weeks? In other LSU news, former LSU Tiger Will Campbell (and current star lineman of the Patriots) is dating the sister of Garrett Nussmeier, LSU's quarterback, aka his old teammate! This means the gals have to talk about the Will Campbell and Patriots quarterback Drake Maye lore.  Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are thrilled to welcome Ken Rosenthal to the show! Ken is a two-time Sports Emmy Award-winner, a reporter and insider for FOX Sports’ Major League Baseball coverage, and a senior baseball writer for The Athletic who has spent nearly 40 years covering the major leagues. He joins the gals to talk about how Cleveland Guardians pitchers Emmanuel Clase and Luis Ortiz have been indicted on charges of rigging pitches during MLB games. He shares his favorite sports gossip of all time, involving Orioles pitcher Cal Ripken Jr. and actor Kevin Costner, and addresses the signature Ken Rosenthal bowtie.  Then, some updates on ex-Mavs GM Nico Harrison’s Instagram bio, and is a fight brewing between Warriors stars Jimmy Butler and Draymond Green? Relationship updates: WNBA star Angel Reese appears to be dating Orlando Magic player Wendell Carter Jr.? Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been out and about in New York, and Madison Beer was at Chargers QB Justin Herbert’s game.   What’s Goin’ On Here: Aaron Rodgers’s wife edition. Is Britanni with an “i” real? The gals discuss.  Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back, and it’s been a bad week for company men! First, an update on this week’s NFL vibes-based picks because they did very well, although the Sunday and Monday night football games were very boring. At least there were some electric NBA games! Now, onto the firings: The gals begin with Nico Harrison, general manager of the Dallas Mavericks. Fans have been chanting “fire Nico” since he traded away the team’s star Luka Doncic last year, and ownership finally listened. In a wild turn of events, LSU is claiming they didn’t fire former head coach Brian Kelly, even though there’s a lot of evidence to suggest they did (because they did). The second guy who got fired this week is Brian Daboll, head coach of the Giants. This discussion also involves a debate about nepo babies and a story about Joaquin Phoenix, Rooney Mara, and a corgi. In NFL firing news, Commanders coach Dan Quinn sort of (but not really) fired his defensive coordinator Joe Whitt. Mike McDaniel drove by a Bills bar called Elbo Room in Ft. Lauderdale after the Dolphins beat the Bills to heckle Bills fans, even though the Dolphins are still bad. And, in a new segment called “It Goes All The Way To The Top,” Scarlet Johansson is doing NBC promo for the winter Olympics.  Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline is back with a new haircut, and Charlotte is here for it! The gals give their NFL Week 10 vibes-based predictions and wonder: is NFL great Tom Brady throwing shade at Bill Belichick, his former coach? Speaking of Tom Brady, he cloned his dog. The gals dig in, because it’s a real follow the money situation. A while ago, Brady (and Tiger Woods) invested in a company called Colossal Biosciences. Colossal Biosciences just acquired the company Viagen, which owns the rights to the technology that was responsible for cloning Dolly the sheep in 1996. So Brady brought his departed dog back to life. Kind of. Weird! The New York Jets traded cornerback Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts, and defensive tackle Quinnen Williams to the Cowboys. A former Atlanta Hawks senior vice president was charged with embezzling almost $4 million dollars to go on luxury vacations with his girlfriend, who also worked for the Hawks. A WNBA and WNBA players association update — they’ve agreed to a 30-day extension on labor negotiations, so the current collective bargaining agreement now expires Nov. 30. Will help them avoid a work stoppage? The gals sure hope so! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back after an exhilarating Game 7 of the World Series. The LA Dodgers are champions after a heartbreaking loss to the Toronto Blue Jays. The gals talk about Ernie Clement crying in the locker room, Kiké Hernandez trolling Drake, and, most importantly, Miguel Rojas’ Van Cleef & Arpels necklace. F1 driver Charles Leclerc is engaged to Alexandra Malena Saint Mieux, and there’s a new category of compressed flowers: compressed petals. Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers is going to act in an Apple TV+ movie? Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant was suspended…again. Phoenix Suns player Jalen Green got a back tattoo of his girlfriend, Draya Michelle, and Celtics star Jaylen Brown’s hair rubbed off — but he’s leaning into it.  NFL Gossip: Robert Kraft and Cardi B sat next to each other at a Patriots game. Jordon Hudson is active on Instagram again. Actor Hailee Steinfeld, wife of Josh Allen, dressed up for Halloween…or did she? And, finally, lots of college football firings and hirings! LSU fired their athletic director, Scott Woodward, Auburn fired their head coach, Hugh Freeze, and former Penn State head coach James Franklin may be getting hired at Virginia Tech? Tens of millions of dollars in the balance, folks! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back with two very special visitors: themselves, as Saturday Night Live’s NPR hosts Margaret Jo McCullin (aka Ana Gasteyer) and Terry Rialto (aka Molly Shannon)! It’s a deliciously dishy episode. The gals start with some World Series gossip, because the games between the Dodgers and Blue Jays have been electric (and involve country singer Brad Paisley). Also, a WNBA update about the collective bargaining agreement. And, finally, the gals give their thoughts on Pablo Torre’s reporting about Jordon Hudson, UNC head coach Bill Belichick’s girlfriend. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The gals are back with a particularly goofy one today, folks — it’s Charlotte’s turn to battle a migraine after Madeline’s flu game two weeks ago, so buckle up (also, they recorded this before that crazy, 18-inning World Series game, so stay tuned for baseball stuff on Thursday). First, a few updates about the gals’ trips around the world. Then, a fantastic interview with college football expert Jessica Smetana about LSU’s $54 million firing of coach Brian Kelly, and why these college coaches keep getting fired for tens of millions of dollars. A Bill and Jordon update—are they engaged??? And some WNBA updates — a new collective bargaining agreement isn’t looking likely by the October 31st deadline.  Then, the shock heard round the sports world last week, as Portland Trail Blazers coach Chauncey Billups, Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier and former Cleveland Cavaliers assistant coach and basketball player Damon Jones (and more) were hit with federal charges of illegal sports gambling and poker rigging schemes allegedly backed by the Mafia. Whoah!A few NFL items: The Steelers uniforms were hideous, Madison Beer and Justin Herbert sat courtside at a Lakers game and attended the Chargers’ Halloween party together, the Patriots rule, and Tom Brady was super online again last week! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are thrilled to welcome Angie “Pumps” Sullivan to the show! Angie is the co-host of the political pop culture show “I’ve Had It Podcast” with Jennifer Welch, and also a huge sports fan. The gals loved talking to her about how sports are inherently political but can still bring people together. Angie and the gals covered a lot of ground, including: how Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones is the Donald Trump of the NFL, being liberal in Oklahoma, how Angie’s parents would trade off custody of her at Oklahoma football games, the pre-game prayers at Oklahoma City Thunder games, the drama between parents in youth sports, misogyny in sports, politics, and the judicial system, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and his all-female team, the mess of the Miami Dolphins, Oklahoma softball, why Baker Mayfield’s vibes are so good, why insecure men are actually bad for sports teams, Aaron Rodgers, and the Alabama coach who got fired before he could coach a game because he yelled “Roll Tide” while doing the deed at a party. Plus much, much more! Thanks to Angie for her time — you don’t want to miss this one, folks! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are thrilled to welcome The Athletic’s Fred Katz to the show. Fred is a senior NBA writer who loves to gab, and the gals really were not ready for the amount of information he dropped on them in the first ten minutes. They start out talking about the Knicks — namely, why Josh Hart is living the dream of every seven-year-old who wants to be an NBA player. Plus: the vibes on that team, why Mitchell Robinson is such a character, and if New York can win it all this year. The Oklahoma City Thunder are coming off a title year, and Fred tells the gals about the time that former Thunder star Steven Adams ate 20 fish heads. Is LeBron going to retire? Probably not! Are we idiots? Yes, according to Lakers head coach JJ Redick. Did Mavericks GM Nico Harrison dodge a bullet by drafting Cooper Flagg after letting Luka Doncic go to LA? Does Cooper have a ton of pressure on him? Is Spurs star Victor Wembanyama single-handedly saving reading? And, finally, how is the league responding to the allegations against Clippers owner Steve Ballmer and star Kawhi Leonard? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline has a migraine today, so this is her flu game, and the result is a particularly unhinged and fantastic episode if you ask Charlotte. First, an important announcement: the gals have decided on a name for their audience, and it is: THE SHAREHOLDERS!!! They love it and hope you do, too. Then, NFL Week 7 vibes-based predictions are back, with discussion about the messy Miami Dolphins mixed in. USWNT and NWSL star Christen Press is retiring a year after her wife, Tobin Heath, hung up her cleats. Relationship updates: are Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels and USC basketball star Juju Watkins dating??? And quarterback Justin Herbert and Madison Beer kissed at the Chargers game. In Tayvis news: The Eras Tour documentary will feature Travis Kelce. The gals haven’t talked about the WNBA Finals yet, so they discuss how the Aces swept the Mercury and talk about how generally amazing A’ja Wilson is. Plus: A WNBA collective bargaining agreement update. Celtics head coach Joe Mazzula made Boston media members play the coaches. Penn State head coach James Franklin was fired, and Penn State owes him $50 million….or do they? South Carolina head coach Dawn Staley said she doesn’t think there will be a female NBA coach in her lifetime, and a tennis player who used kissing as his defense in an anti-doping case has been suspended for four years. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are doing things a little differently this week — instead of the normal Tuesday episode, they’re bringing you a special deep dive today into the UNC football program coached by Bill Belichick. Lots of reporting came out last week about the problems within the program, including a report from The Athletic, which college football reporter and UNC alum Grace Raynor contributed to. The gals are thrilled to welcome Grace onto the show to talk about the rumors that Belichick will leave the program, the strange graphic the university put out, the cancelled Hulu documentary, the Jordon Hudson of it all, the arrogance of general manager Mike Lombardi, the vibes at UNC games, and why the name of Bill Belichick’s boat might be to blame for all of this. The gals will be back with a regular gossip rundown episode on Thursday! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
ESPN’s NHL reporter Emily Kaplan joins Madeline and Charlotte to talk about the biggest and best storylines heading into the 2025-2026 hockey season that kicked off on Tuesday. Did you know that there are a ton of brothers playing in the league? That the players fight to defend each other? That Brad Marchand’s current team hated him before he joined it? That Sidney Crosby took a player to get his hair cut? That the NHL is like a family? That WAGs take their jackets very seriously? If you’re looking to get into hockey, Emily’s fun stories and facts about the guys on the ice are a great place to start. The season kicked off on Tuesday, so there’s no better time to brush up on the narratives. Plus: Madeline and Charlotte recap their trip to Buffalo, which included a trip to Niagara Falls, a fiasco at a restaurant where they tried to order wings, and a visit to SGS listener Christina’s amazing tailgate! Thank you to Christina and thank you to Buffalo! The gals will certainly be back. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The gals are back from Buffalo, where they had a phenomenal time and watched Charlotte’s New England Patriots beat Madeline’s Buffalo Bills — full recap of the trip coming on Thursday!Today, there are a few big stories to cover: NBA star LeBron James teased “The Second Decision,” and it ended up being an ad for Hennessy — the internet isn’t fun anymore! The tension between the WNBA commissioner Cathy Englebert and star players, especially Napheesa Collier, reached an all-time high over the weekend and it doesn’t seem to be cooling down anytime soon. The Patriots beat the Bills in a former-Bills player Stefon Diggs revenge game and a statement game for Pats quarterback Drake Maye. UNC head coach Bill Belichick reportedly forbade UNC from posting about Maye, a UNC alum. Parents of UNC players spoke to the press anonymously and it doesn’t seem great down there! The Chiefs’ vibes continue to be very off — Travis Kelce lost on Monday Night Football while Taylor Swift, his fiancee, promoted her album on Jimmy Fallon. Madeline and Charlotte are thrilled to welcome Emmy award-winner Scott Hanson to the show for a very special conversation. Scott is the host of NFL RedZone, Gold Zone during the Olympics, and is in EA Sports’ Madden NFL. If you’re a football fan, he is the voice of your Sundays. But first, the gals discuss the workplace drama in the WNBA. In her exit interview on Tuesday, Lynx star Napheesa Collier called out the league and the commissioner, Cathy Englebert, specifically. She came with receipts and the result was a masterclass in speaking truth to power, especially during the ongoing CBA negotiations. Your employer is not your friend! Then it’s time for the gals’ conversation with Scott. They covered a lot of ground, including: What Scott means to his fans, and how seriously he takes his jobWanting to make sports more accessible How he was rejected from his college program of choice and worked his butt off to get inWhy his habits as a child actually made him perfect for his RedZone jobThe hope of rookie quarterbacksWhy sports are spiritual Why the NFL draft is like a hopeful shareholder’s meeting An incredible story about one of Tony Romo’s groomsmenAnd much more! Thanks again to Scott, and you can find information about RedZone at nfl.com/redzone Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte have some news: they’re going to Buffalo for the Bills-Patriots game this weekend, so invite them to your tailgate! The gals also need suggestions for what to call the audience of The Sports Gossip Show. Now, the drama: Bad Bunny is performing the Super Bowl halftime show, and the announcement was anticlimactic. LeBron James posted a Reel on Instagram that seems very retirement-coded — Taylor Swift isn’t the only one doing numerology over here! In NFL news, Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart *didn’t* say anything about Chargers’ QB Justin Herbert’s girlfriend Madison Beer. Cowboys-Packers revenge game ended in a tie, which was also anticlimactic. The WNBA tea is hot this week. Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve was suspended and fined for running onto the court and comments she made about the officiating after a foul wasn’t called on the Mercury’s Alyssa Thomas, who collided with Lynx star Napheesa Collier. The Aces head coach Becky Hammon and Fever head coach Stephanie White both got fined for backing Reeves up. All of this brings up a bigger issue: The officiating in the WNBA needs to improve. Plus: Aces-Fever Game 5 tonight! The MLB postseason is here! The Red Sox play the Yankees, the Mets Metsed themselves, and money can’t solve all your problems (unless you’re moving). Fans at the Ryder Cup need to be better after they threw beer at golfer Rory McIlroy’s wife. Madeline’s Georgia Dawgs broke her heart by losing to Alabama at home. We need more drama surrounding Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin’s daughter dating an LSU star. And, finally, Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson went to Nantucket during football season.  Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Sports Gossip Show officially turns one today, so Madeline and Charlotte get a little sentimental looking back at a crazy 12 months since they started this show in Charlotte’s apartment. Thank you so much to everyone who’s listened, watched, and subscribed, to The Athletic for bringing SGS on board, and to the husbands of the show — the gals couldn’t have done it without any of you. Then, The Athletic’s own women’s basketball expert Ben Pickman comes on the show to update everybody on the WNBA Playoffs. They talk about how Ben thinks the Aces will go all the way, how the Fever are in it despite all the injuries (obviously including Caitlin Clark), how the Lynx blew a 20-point lead, and why the Mercury’s vibes have been so good. Also — great reality show drama between coaches, why it isn’t surprising that the Liberty let coach Sandy Brondello go, the rise of athlete podcasts, who’s dating who in the league, and much more! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back with a jam-packed show! Some quick hits from Europe: Harry Styles ran the Berlin marathon very quickly under a weird pseudonym, and F1 drivers Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz drove a van to Monaco after their flight was delayed. Then, the thing everyone wants to know about: Ole Miss head coach Lane Kiffin’s daughter hard-launched her relationship with LSU player Whit Weeks and it’s mind game city. The gals didn’t do so well in their NFL Week 3 vibes-based picks, the Chiefs’ vibes are still not great, and the Giants may be a toxic workplace given the success of Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley outside of the organization. Aces star A’ja Wilson won MVP for the fourth time and basketball stars Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd remain adorable (don’t worry, full WNBA playoff episode is dropping Thursday). There is a lot of golf drama having to do with the Ryder Cup — it involves “the purity of the game” and Bryson DeChambeau vs. Rory McIlroy….again. The gals find out in real time that the NY Liberty fired head coach Sandy Brondello a year after she won a championship?????Jordon Hudson is still on the field at UNC, the Mariners had a curse lifted by a witch on Etsy, and tennis star Felix Auger-Aliassime got married and the flowers weren’t compressed!!!! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte look at the Week 3 slate of NFL games and choose their winners using only the vibes of the teams. The gals went 12/16 last week — so don’t overthink it, folks! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
There are a ton (well, at least three) of NFL documentaries out this fall, and Madeline and Charlotte watched them so you don’t have to. And if you watched them too, that’s great! It’s like a book club, but for docs!Join SGS for another deep dive episode analyzing two Netflix series, “America’s Team: The Cowboy and His Gamblers” and “Quarterback,” plus HBO’s “Hard Knocks: Training Camp With the Buffalo Bills.”Come along for the conversation about what makes a documentary, what gets excluded, whether access wins out over truth these days, and what the gals learned after filling their brains with hours of NFL-based content. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Well, folks, Madeline and Charlotte have a doozy of an episode for you today! Lots of juicy stuff — but first, they check in on their Week 2 NFL vibes-based picks. Not to brag, but they really crushed it this week. Then, an update on the compressed flowers at Green Bay Packers’ quarterback Jordan Love’s wedding. In not-so-great news, Joe Burrow broke his toe and the Kansas City Chiefs are falling apart. Also, Taylor Swift appeared to sneak into the Chiefs’ stadium? The WNBA’s StudBudz are in Vogue. The Playoffs have started, and coaches are *not* happy with the officiating. The gals discuss the alleged love triangle between tennis stars Jannick Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, and Brooks Nader — is it real, or is Nader just promoting her new reality show? Jordon Hudson was going to appear on Dancing with the Stars, but now she isn’t, and it’s not totally surprising. Snowboarder Shaun White and actress Nina Dobrev broke off their engagement and SGS coins the term “WAG-washing.” Plus, an update to the Shohei Ohtani lawsuit that the gals don’t understand. Madeline and Charlotte are back with a very special episode. First, the gals pick their winners of the NFL’s Week 2 using vibes only. Then, it’s time for a refresher on the most famous Wags of the NFL. The gals talk about how they met, how long they’ve been together, and — if the couple is married — how compressed the flowers were at their weddings. Couples covered include:Travis and TaylorJosh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld Aaron Rodgers and Brittani????Patrick and Brittany Jalen Hurts and Bry Burrows Russell Wilson and CiaraJoe Burrow??Christian McCaffrey and Olivia CulpoJonathan Owens and Simone Biles Justin Herbert and Madison Beer If the gals didn’t talk about your favorite couple, send a DM on Instagram @sportsgossip or email them at info@sportsgossipshow.com. The gals are back after a dizzying first week of NFL football. First, an update on Madeline’s first RedZone experience, a hello to RedZone host Scott Hanson, and checking in on Charlotte’s Patriots (bad). Tom Brady is online again, posting very 2016 selfies, and it’s great. Nebraska’s Dylan Raiola continues to emulate the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes. The US Open concluded this weekend! Aryna Sabalenka beat Amanda Anisimova to take the women’s title, and Carlos Alcaraz beat his rival, Jannik Sinner. Sinner and Alcaraz are adorable. The gals then check in on how their “vibes-based” NFL predictions did, before getting into the messiness of the NFL’s Week 1: Vikings QB J.J. McCarthy saved Minnesota, Madeline’s Bills mounted the most incredible comeback over the Ravens, the gals went to the Eagles-Cowboys game (where Spitgate occurred), the Chiefs lost in Brazil, and Aaron Rodgers *does* hate the Jets. UNC head coach Bill Belichick banned Patriots scouts from the UNC facilities and is using the public university for his own petty agenda. Fun! Then, an update on the WNBA: Caitlin Clark is out for the season, and the Chicago Sky suspended Angel Reese. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back, and so is the NFL!! The gals talk about vibes a lot on The Sports Gossip Show, so they decided to put their money where their mouths are and pick the winner of the Week 1 match-ups based solely on how they feel about the teams (and a few facts, but whatever). Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Well, folks, it finally happened — Bill Belichick took the field to coach UNC’s football team for the first time. After months of build-up and hype (especially surrounding his relationship with Jordon Hudson, who cold-called the gals out of the blue last month), his team lost 48-14. The TCU Horned Frogs demolished UNC, and the announcers ran out of stuff to talk about — to the point that ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit put his headset on his dog. Madeline and Charlotte have many thoughts about how Belichick is handling the young people he’s responsible for. There were many celebs in attendance, including NBA legend Michael Jordan, Former UNC basketball coach Roy Williams, NFL greats Lawrence Taylor, Julius Peppers, and Randy Moss, and country singers Eric Church and Chase Rice. There were many wild fan-made signs, the pre-game show felt like a living funeral, and the season couldn’t have gotten off to a rougher start! The gals then dive into some US Open drama, including the fact that Naomi Osaka beat Coco Gauff, and actor Rami Malek talked to Condé Nast godmother Anna Wintour for three straight matches. Plus, the Cowboys traded Micah Parsons. Also, SGS listeners can join our documentary club! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are thrilled to welcome a guest that they’ve been wanting to have on the show for a LONG time — Jessica Smetana! Jess is a sports commentator and analyst. She currently hosts The Echos podcast with Mike Golic Jr., and you may have seen her on Vice TV’s Sports Gone Wrong or on a Meadowlark Media property. Jess and Charlotte have also been friends and colleagues for almost 10 years, and used to host The Most Valuable Podcast together (RIP). The gals covered a lot of ground together for this college football preview. How well will Belichick and UNC actually perform this year, and will his personal life be a distraction? Why is college football historically the messiest sport? They also discussed the lore of the Manning family (and why Archie Manning is the Kris Jenner of college football), NFL nepo babies in college football, the story of Houston Nutt, Hugh Freeze, and an escort service (yes, those are names of real people), and much more! This episode was supposed to be the weekly Tuesday episode of The Sports Gossip Show, but then Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce got engaged, and Madeline and Charlotte had to record an emergency episode that went up yesterday instead! Go listen to it!Here we’ve got a few quick hits: Madison Beer and Justin Herbert were photographed together again, Wally the green monster performed at the Boston Jonas Brothers concert where JoJo sang wearing a Red Sox jersey, and Donna Kelce is posting about visiting historical landmarks. Then it’s on to US Open drama: Madison Keys was upset by Renata Zarazua, Carlos Alcaraz got a confounding haircut, Venus Williams came very close to winning at age 45, and Daniil Medvedev had a complete meltdown on the court. Also, Serena Williams introduced Maria Sharapova at her Tennis Hall of Fame induction. In other country club news, Tommy Fleetwood finally won a golf major in his 164th start! And the gals learned all about his family and age-gap relationship. And in *more* country club-esq news, Bill Belichick is selling a house on Nantucket that is probably a bad investment and you shouldn’t buy it. Also: Tom Brady is online again, Shilo Sanders was ejected from a preseason game after he punched someone and then was waived by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Micah Parsons Cowboy’s drama over his contract with the Cowboys persists, and Paige Bueckers had an amazing 44-point night. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Folks, it finally happened: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce are engaged. They announced it on Tuesday on Instagram, and Sports Gossip Show listeners immediately reached out to Madeline and Charlotte in hopes of an emergency episode. You’re all in luck, because the gals were on it. Here is everything you need to know about the engagement, including (of course) the SGS compressed floral evaluation. Congrats to the happy couple! Hosted on Acast. Catherine Whitaker is one of the co-hosts of The Tennis Podcast, another great show on The Athletic Podcast Network, and Madeline and Charlotte are thrilled to welcome her to the Sports Gossip Show ahead of this year’s US Open. The tennis tea has never been hotter! The gals ask Catherine everything you all want to know about this year’s upcoming American Grand Slam. She talks about the length of the tennis season and whether anything can be done about it, Jannick Sinner’s doping ban, why Iga Świątek is no-drama, how Naomi Osaka is her own fiercest competition, and hook-up culture on the tour. Things get juicy when Catherine tells the gals about the love triangle that tennis fans desperately want to believe in between Emma Raducanu, Carlos Alcaraz, and Jack Draper. She also dishes about a rumored love triangle from years ago involving Serena Williams and Maria Sharapova. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
This episode starts out with Madeline and Charlotte’s affinity for the arts and a shameless request for tickets to Shakespeare In The Park. Then, a quick Jordon Hudson update, because she should take a page out of Taylor Swift’s playbook. Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert stopped by singer Madison Beer’s photoshoot — are they dating? WNBA great Sue Bird had a beautiful statue dedicated to her in front of the Seattle Storm’s arena, and we need more bronze statues of women. Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd did a very cute podcast together, and the Golden State Valkyries have a new mascot named Violet.Oklahoma quarterback John Mateer needs to scrub his Venmo history. The Browns’ quarterback drama continues, with some strange comments that rookie quarterback Dillon Gabriel says he *didn’t* make about fellow-rookie QB Shedeur Sanders. The University of Michigan received its punishment for the 2023 sign-stealing scandal, and the name Connor Stalions is back in the news. Finally, the gals try to figure out what’s going on with a real estate lawsuit involving Shohei Ohtani and his agent. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back with a Thursday episode dropping on a Wednesday night! That’s because there was an emergency that needed addressing: Taylor Swift went on New Heights, the podcast hosted by her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, and his brother, Jason Kelce. The audience learned a lot about her new album, just as much as she wanted us to know about her personal life, and a whole lot about the state of media, public relations, and fame in 2025. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte start this episode off with a few updates about Jordon Hudson after last week’s episode detailing how they almost secured an interview with her. Also, the gals need your questions for a mailbag episode, so be sure to email them to info@sportsgossipshow.com! Then, witness your intrepid hosts crash out because there’s a very good chance that Taylor Swift is going to appear on an episode of her boyfriend Travis Kelce’s podcast this Wednesday. Will she announce her “lost” album, Karma? The gals dissect what all this could mean (and don’t worry, there will be an emergency episode if this happens.)Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla signed a new contract and it would be great if he had social media. Tom Brady attended a statue unveiling at the Patriots’ stadium, and Madeline makes Charlotte guess his real speech vs. one she had ChatGPT write. Shedeur Sanders debuted with the Browns and everyone tweeted about it. There is a very bizarre situation in the WNBA involving sex toys and cryptocurrency, which is the most depressingly 2025 sentence ever. NBA star Joel Embiid’s knee doesn’t seem to be doing well, and there’s some sleuthing going about who leaked a story to ESPN insider Shams Charania last season. And, finally — a compressed flower update! The Oklahoma City Thunder’s Alex Caruso got married, and Manchester United’s Ella Toone got engaged.  Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The title of this episode is pretty self-explanatory. Two Saturdays ago, Charlotte received a call from Jordon Hudson, Bill Belichick’s girlfriend, whom The Sports Gossip Show has covered extensively. Madeline and Charlotte then spent five hours over the course of the week talking to her, and thought there was a good chance she would come on the show. That, however, did not happen. So here is the story. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back with a very special announcement: The Sports Gossip Show has officially joined The Athletic Podcast Network! The gals couldn’t be more excited. If you’re new here, this show breaks down and adds context to the wildest developments in the messy world of sports — because it’s much more fun to watch athletes on the field if you know what they’re doing off it. Whether you’re a die-hard fan who has the standings of multiple leagues memorized or someone who thinks Taylor Swift put Travis Kelce on the map, join Madeline and Charlotte as they watch sports with one eye on the game and one eye on the personal life section of athletes’ Wikipedia pages.  Today’s episode kicks off with an important update about Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel. Everyone’s favorite WNBA social media stars, the StudBudz, signed a baby. LA Lakers star Luka Dončić signed a contract extension with general manager Rob Pelinka, and then they took the team to see the Backstreet Boys in Las Vegas. The gals may or may not put on a short play about this. The USTA announced that a dating show will take place at this year’s US Open called Game, Set, Matchmaker (groan!). WNBA star Dijonai Carrington was traded from the Dallas Wings to the Minnesota Lynx a month after her girlfriend, NaLyssa Smith, was traded from the Wings to the Las Vegas Aces. In more WNBA news, the minority owner of the Celtics bought the Connecticut Sun and wants to move the team to Boston. Tom Brady is still very online. Micah Parsons and the Dallas Cowboys are in a messy will-they, won’t-they situation. Premiere League star Son Heung-min is heading to LA in an historic move for the MLS. And a quick compressed flower check-in for Kemba Walker’s wedding! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The gals are back with a show full to the brim with sports gossip! Madeline and Charlotte start off with a few quick updates: 49ers quarterback Brock Purdy and his wife, Jenna Purdy, had a baby, Lionel Messi went to a Coldplay concert (lol), and Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton got engaged to his longtime girlfriend, Jade Jodes. Then, the main event: Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce posted a bunch of photos with Taylor Swift. Are they engaged? Are they married? Why are “sources” close to them (Taylor’s publicist Tree Paine) releasing so many quotes about how they’re going to end up together? Also: Taylor posted in support of Happy Gilmore 2, because Travis is in it. Nikola Jokic loves his horses so much that he cried when one of them won a race. The gals check in on Tom Brady, who has been very active online posting about “breathtaking sunsets that take your breath away,” his cat, and Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding. Lakers star Luka Dončić is ripped on the cover of Men’s Health. NFL players are in trouble for selling their Super Bowl Tickets. Steelers great Terry Bradshaw and current Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers are fighting. The fascist dictator Benito Mussolini’s grandson plays soccer? Cleveland Cavaliers center Jarett Allen did the High School Musical dance at his wedding. And, finally, Philadelphia Eagles tight end Kylen Granson married Daisy Foko Granson and their wedding was….well, you’ll have to listen to hear the gal’s thoughts! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Welcome back to the Sports Gossip Show! Madeline and Charlotte are coming at you today with a jam-packed show full of the latest updates in the wild world of sports. But first, they start with the debacle at the Coldplay concert in Boston and explain why it was sports. Then it’s time to dissect WNBA All-Star weekend, which looked like the best party on earth. Dallas Wings star Paige Bueckers and UConn star Azzi Fudd are officially together. The StudBudz — the duo of Minnesota Lynx teammates Courtney Williams and Natisha Hiedeman — broke the internet (Google them and Megan Rapinoe and thank us later). WNBA players advocated for fair pay with T-shirts. It was amazing. Then, a quick detour down Millennial Memory Lane, followed by the huge news that artist Megan Thee Stallion is dating NBA player Klay Thompson, and the gals couldn’t be more into it. Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce got added to the Swift family group chat after Taylor’s dad had a health scare. Friends of the show (lol) UNC head coach Bill Belichick and his young girlfriend Jordon Hudson will be in a docuseries on Hulu. President Donald Trump is once again fighting with the NFL. There is huge drama in the NFL Players Association. And, finally, a round-up of athlete weddings and their florals over the past few weeks! If you like the sound of this and want to see what's going on, check out The Sports Gossip Show's YouTube channel! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back with another deep dive episode, this time into the Netflix documentary series America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders. The gals watched both seasons — even if you haven’t, you can come along for the journey as The Sports Gossip Show unpacks the complicated dynamics of what it means to be a DCC. The TV show follows hopeful Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders through the audition process, into training camp, and, finally, into the NFL season. The practices and game days are grueling, thanks to physically and mentally punishing dances and standards. The women who make the team often have to work several jobs to be able to afford a decent standard of living, and a huge part of the show is the cheerleaders’ fight for better pay. The people in the series are fascinating, from the heads of the program, Kelli Finglass and Judy Trammell, to the stars of the show, dancers like Reece, Jada, Armani, Kelly V., Charly, Amanda, and many more. Madeline and Charlotte talk about the tensions between what it means to be a DCC — and, by extension, an American woman — and how to preserve your sense of self. They also talk about what it means to be a Company Woman, how DCC becomes a major part of these cheerleaders’ identities, and the similarities between dancers and athletes. Hosted on Acast. Madeline and Charlotte are back with a July 4th Wedding Bonanza. If you’re been listening to the show for a while, you’ll know that SGS goes on deep dives of athlete weddings to see how compressed the florals are. If you don’t know what that means, listen to this show and you will understand. Given that it’s the week of the 4th of July and Summer Wedding Season is upon us, the gals thought it would be an appropriate time to take a walk down memory lane and look at the biggest athlete weddings to see how “shoved-in-there” the flowers were. This episodes takes a look at many weddings, including, but not limited to, Jalen Hurts and Bry Burrows, Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey, Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian, Brittany and Patrick Mahomes, Simone Biles and Jonathan Owens, Kate Bock and Kevin Love, Victoria and David Beckham, and many more. The gals also decide this show should be sponsored by a compression sock company. So, Bombas, if you’re out there, give a holler.  Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back on a very hot New York City day to bring you all the equally hot goss in sports on The Sports Gossip Show. The gals start off with the NBA Finals, because the Oklahoma City Thunder were crowned as the newest champs. Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton tore his achilles seven minutes into the game though, which was pretty devastating. The Thunder have maybe the cutest team to ever win the Finals? Both the Pacers and the Thunder had fantastic vibes, which means they had pretty well-run companies. Speaking of well-run companies, it seems like the Boston Red Sox are not well run at the moment! The gals dive into a report about the dysfunction in the front office following the wild Rafael Devers trade. The NBA offseason is also in full swing, with two major trades: Kevin Durant to the Houston Rockets and Jrue Holiday to the Portland Trailblazers. Madeline and Charlotte think they could be good GMs.Then, the confirmation that basketball fans have been waiting for: it appears that Paige Bueckers and Azzi Fudd are, in fact, dating. Jordon Hudson and Bill Belichick are also back in the show because Jordon is posting on Instagram again (thank goodness). And, Aaron Rodgers says he’s going to disappear when he finishes playing, but the gals don’t believe him!Joe Burrow wore an outfit that looks like a Limited Too lip gloss. The Lakers sold to a rich guy named Mark Walters, but Lakers lifer Jeanie Buss is going to stay on as the governor? And, finally, a compressed floral check on Patriots quarterback Drake Maye’s wedding.  Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Sports Gossip Show opens on an actually serious note today with LA Dodger Kiké Hernandez and his very important support of the immigrant community of Los Angeles. Then, because this is the world we live in, Madeline and Charlotte do some real compartmentalization and get into the fact that Donna Kelce, mother of NFL and podcast stars Jason and Travis, has been cast on the next season of Traitors. Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce went to a Stanley Cup game and they wore shorts. Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers says he’s married, but his family doesn’t believe it. Is he married the way he was “immunized?” The gals have questions. Bill Belichick’s gf, Jordon Hudson, posted on her Instagram grid again for the first time in a long time, and is she….telling us something about her relationship? The Red Sox traded star player Rafael Devers to the San Francisco Giants, once again proving SGS’s point that your employer is not your friend, and that they only want Company Men. Hailee Steinfeld sent out pictures of her wedding to Bills quarterback Josh Allen on her newsletter — it turns out that Madeline and Charlotte called her whole wedding. Plus, the etiquette of wedding rules and commenting on other people’s weddings. The gals have an update on WNBA star Paige Bueckers and UConn star Azzi Fudd, and the vibes are bad on the Dallas Wings because of the coach with a man bun. LSU star Flau’Jae Johnson says she and former teammate Angel Reese aren’t friends (but she’s very cool about it?). And, finally, someone get Reggie Miller a stylist! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte have a bone to pick with Ben Stiller: he presented Best Play at the Tony Awards and joked that that isn’t an overlap between people who watch the Tonys and like sports — but we are the place for that overlap, Ben!!! Secondly, a few corrections about Spike Lee and his best friend Al Palagonia. And an update about Hailee Steinfeld’s dad. Coco Gauff took home her first French Open win on Saturday, beating Aryna Sabalenka. Sabalenka said some stuff that she had to walk back at her press conference, and Coco’s dad is very relatable because he’s too stressed to watch his daughter. Carlos Alcaraz continued Rafa Nadal’s tradition of winning on clay, beating Janick Sinner in one of the longest matches ever. Also, some info about Alcaraz’s barber, and Skinner recently announced he’s single and met the pope. An Aaron Rodgers update: He signed with the Steelers, and he might be married (of course news broke after the gals recorded confirming that he’s married). The Knicks fired Tom Thibodeau, and the players went clubbing. Madeline details some drama between the US Men’s National Team drama starring commentator and former player Landon Donovan and USMNT star Christian Pulisic. And, finally, the Dallas Cowboys went dancing. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte start the show off with a few admin orders of business and a couple quick and important “informercials,” then it’s down to business. The Knicks are out of the NBA Playoffs, and the Oklahoma City Thunder and Indiana Pacers will be facing off in the Finals. But before they get to that, the gals go over some of the last Knicks gossip of the season (full disclosure: this episode was recorded before New York fired Tom Thibodeau). Including: Is Jalen Brunson annoyed at Karl-Anthony Towns? Are Allie Brunson and Jordyn Woods promoting a specific narrative? Who is the guy who sits next to Spike Lee and why is he a white collar criminal? And how did Timothée Chalamet get Kylie Jenner to go to Indiana on a Saturday night? Then, on to Indiana and Oklahoma City — this matchup might be exciting, but it’s not sexy yet. The gals explain. Charlotte tells a story about how she once had to sleep in a train car inside a hotel, and Madeline tells everybody that she listens to Soulja Boy when she feels claustrophobic on the subway. Let’s be honest, this episode is a little unhinged (complimentary). Actress Hailee Steinfeld and Buffalo Bills star Josh Allen got married! The gals break down the flowers, the venue, and the fact that Larry David was there — and three of Josh’s teammates were groomsmen! Then it’s time for a little NHL, because the Stanley Cup Final matchup is set, and it’s a rematch of the Florida Panthers and the Edmonton Oilers. Which, of course brings the gals to check in on the flowers at Oilers star Conor McDavid’s wedding. Then, Steph Curry really loves Benson Boone, as evidenced by a video that came out at a music festival. And, finally, Tom Brady might want a specific person to reply to his Instagram story, and the gals explain why. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline tells Charlotte about her disastrous travel day yesterday, which is why The Sports Gossip Show is coming to you on a Wednesday instead of a Tuesday. But the good news is that Madeline still got her Tuesday Chick-fil-A, and she also found the cheese shop from that Capital One commercial. The gals start off with the NBA Playoffs. The Minnesota Timberwolves and the Oklahoma City Thunder have been playing to see who comes out of the Western Conference, but the real drama has been in the East. Simply put: The Knicks’ vibes are totally off. There has to be some co-worker interpersonal drama going on, because nothing else could explain the kind of strange collapses the team has had (also, the President of the Knicks, Leon Rose, is star Jalen Brunson’s godfather). The Pacers have been cookin’ thanks to Tyrese Haliburton, whose dad was banned from games after getting into a fight with Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo. His dad is allowed back at the arena now, and Haliburton is ballin’. Karli Kloss is joining the ownership group of the New York Liberty — and does anyone else think she and her husband are strategically trying to tie themselves to Taylor Swift still? Real Swifties know. In other women’s basketball news, did former UConn teammates Azzi Fudd and Paige Bueckers just hard launch their relationship on TikTok? Then, a quick check in on football coach Bill Belichick, who once again renamed his boat — potentially because he’s engaged to Jordon Hudson. Unless it’s just commemorating her cheerleading national championship. Tough to say. Staying in New England for a moment, the Humphrey sisters from Darien, Connecticut won a lacrosse national championship at UNC, which is a story Charlotte tells Madeline that involves some serious tangents. F1’s Lando Norris hard-launched his girlfriend, Margarida Corceiro, at the Monaco Grand Prix, so Madeline explains what that’s all about. NFL rookie Travis Hunter’s new wife wore a very compressed flower veil, and he gave her a car at their wedding. And, finally, Andy Murray is no longer coaching tennis star Novak Djokovic, which that gals could’ve told you was never a good idea.  Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Today, Madeline and Charlotte welcome a very special guest: Thanks to the NBA, the Larry O'Brien Championship Trophy came to visit at the studio (aka Charlotte’s apartment)! A true dream guest who helped the gals with their Sports Gossip Show Eastern and Western Conference Finals preview episode. The Knicks haven’t made it this far in 25 years, and it’s against the Pacers, the last team they played in the ECFs, and the team that knocked them out of the playoffs last year. In the West, the Oklahoma City Thunder are facing the Minnesota Timberwolves, and it’s a war of the young stars: Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and Anthony Edwards. Also, Shai is playing his cousin, Nickeil Alexander-Walker. Plus: Knicks WAGs, Myles Turner has a huge collection of legos, “Doin’ it for Mike,” and more! Also, Giannis Antetokounmpo did a very intriguing Q+A on Twitter, and the gals talk about their trip to the Liberty home opener on Saturday. Then, the big announcement: Jordon Hudson followed The Sports Gossip Show on Instagram. So Madeline and Charlotte invite her to make an appearance! The new Bill Belichick PR machine seems to be working, because the narrative is changing. Also, are they engaged?A quick shoutout to Toronto Maple Leaf fans, who are really going through it. Then, some Premier League gossip: two people were arrested on charges of blackmailing Son Heung-min — a player for Tottenham Hotspur and one of South Korea’s most famous athletes — with paternity claims, the police said on Sunday. Also, a golfer threw a club at the PGA Championship, and Larsa Pippen says she dated Detroit Pistons player Malik Beasley because she “had Covid brain!” Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The gals are back from Maine and they have a few new bits of information about the Miss Maine Pageant before getting right into the daily grind of sports gossip. Which, unfortunately for Boston-fan Charlotte, means talking about the injury to Celtics star Jayson Tatum and the fact that the Knicks are now up 3-1 in the second round of the NBA playoffs. But, for new Knicks fan Madeline, these playoffs are the start of something beautiful. A lot happened at the game. Sitting courtside we had Timothée Chalamet, his girlfriend Kylie Jenner, Kylie’s sister Kendall Jenner, Bad Bunny (Kendall’s ex), and Knicks star Karl-Anthony Towns’ girlfriend/Kylie’s ex-best friend, Jordyn Woods. Not only that, but the rapper Cardi B and Patriots player Stefon Diggs appeared to hard-launch their relationship? Lots of drama coming out of Madison Square Garden. Speaking of the Knicks, there’s a new pope (listen to the show, you’ll get it). And the basketball gods have been busy, because the NBA Draft Lottery happened last night, and the Dallas Mavericks shocked the world by receiving the No. 1 pick in this year’s draft after trading away superstar Luka Doncic. Also, Michael Jordan is going to be an announcer for the NBA on NBC??? What a recession indicator! Then, a few updates on Jordon Hudson and Bill Belichick, even though the gals are having an existential crisis about how to cover this story now. Is Aaron Rodgers engaged?? Mallory Pugh and Dansby Swanson announced they’re having a baby and there were no compressed flowers! Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce were spotted in Philly with Jason and Kylie Kelce for Mother’s Day. Finally, Caitlin Clark’s nice quote about Taylor Swift.  Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
When it comes to covering the saga of current UNC head coach and former Patriots head coach Bill Belichick and his 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordon Hudson, Madeline and Charlotte will stop at nothing to provide you with the best possible information. Which, this weekend, meant driving to Portland, Maine, to attend the Miss Maine Pageant that Jordon was competing in. The gals simply felt that they wouldn’t be able to talk about the Miss Maine Pageant fairly without seeing it for themselves. And see it they did. They attended both days of the pageant and watched Bill cheer on Jordon, got very invested in the contestants, and gained a lot of insight into how Jordon presents herself. They came away with the feeling that Jordon still wants to be the center of the story, and with a huge amount of respect for anyone who competes. So here, without further ado, is their full recap and analysis of Miss Maine 2025. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte start this episode off with a recap of their CNN appearance over the weekend (and say happy birthday to Charlotte’s mom!). Then, a quick update on Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson: they’ve gone quiet. And the gals miss Jordon’s posts! Will she still compete in Miss Maine this weekend? Time will tell. Then, it’s on to the Met Gala! The event’s theme was "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style," and tons of athletes showed out for the event: the NY Liberty’s Breanna Stewart, Sabrina Ionescu, and Jonquel Jones, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow, GOAT gymnast Simone Biles, Chicago Sky player Angel Reese, tennis great Serena Williams, Savannah James (LeBron didn’t make it due to injury), and many more. And the gals think that Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and his new wife Bry Burrows might have made their first official red carpet appearance at the Met gala. Then it’s time for an NBA Playoff update, a check-in on Charlotte’s Knicks-Celtics marriage, and Charlotte’s admission that she’s a soft fan. The second round saw two upsets last night — the New York Knicks beat the Boston Celtics at home, and the Denver Nuggets beat the Oklahoma City Thunder at home. Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards has been on a tear recently, so the gals give an update on his recent antics, and a quick update on Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo’s fight with Pacers star Tyrese Halliburton’s dad. A much-requested F1 update: Madeline fills everyone in on driver Max Verstappen and his girlfriend Kelly Piquet, who just welcomed a daughter. Piquet already has a child with F1 driver Daniil Kvyat. Then, the gals analyze a video of Notre Dame basketball star Hannah Hidalgo and former teammate, current TCU star Olivia Miles. They appear to be having a tense exchange at a WNBA preseason game, and there is a lot of body language to decipher! The gals end the show with A Relationship Update: which Olivia is Joe Burrow dating? Larsa Pippen has a new younger basketball-playing boyfriend, and Aaron Rodgers could be….married? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte are back with another emergency episode about Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson. This week, the most famous relationship in college football somehow became the biggest story in the sports world — and has leaked out into the world beyond it. More reporting has been coming out all week at a rapid clip, and Madeline and Charlotte have tracked it so that they can break down and analyze all the new developments for SGS listeners. The story picks back up where SGS left off on Monday. Information came out from the set of the CBS interview that Jordon was very difficult to work with, which is why they included evidence of her interrupting. In the aftermath of that story, Jordon posted an email from Bill in April that seemingly referenced the interview and said that a statement was coming soon. Bill’s literary agency then put out a statement that reads a lot like something Jordon would have written. The Athletic published an article about how Jordon was the reason UNC’s Hard Knocks season — a docu-series set to follow Bill and the football team in the offseason — got canned. Information also came out that Bill’s friends are concerned, and Jordon was seen wearing a ring on her ring finger at a gala in New York City. Then, the big statements: Bill put out a statement about the CBS interview through UNC, saying that CBS violated terms of the interview agreement by asking about his personal life and that Jordon was just doing her job (if you know you know). CBS then countered with a statement saying there were no interview parameters agreed to, and everything was fair game. Finally, news broke that Jordon has recently purchased close to nine million dollars worth of real estate in the Boston area since 2023. Phew! The gals are exhausted! Thanks to all the new listeners out there — Madeline and Charlotte would love you to stick around for non-Belichick news as well. Lot of fun to be had in the Sports Gossip Show Cinematic Universe.  Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The gals are back with their regularly scheduled programming after the emergency episode on Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson yesterday. Madeline and Charlotte start off with some updates from the NFL Draft, including the fact that the Giants took a quarterback with a very gen Z haircut. Charlotte uses this as an excuse to talk about the time in 2022 that a rumor started about former Jets quarterback Zach Wilson — that he was sleeping with his mom’s best friend. Then, it’s obviously time to dig into the biggest story from the NFL Draft: The fall of Shedeur Sanders. Is the Sanders family the Kardashians of college football? Given that the Draft is the gossipiest thing about the NFL, there’s a lot to unpack here as to why Shedeur was taken so much later than analysts expected him to. But, as loyal listeners will know, it comes down to the fact that your employer is not your friend. Then, an update on Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift, who the gals haven’t talked about in a minute. Because Travis unfollowed Taylor’s (former?) best friend, the actress Blake Lively, and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds. Blake is embroiled in a messy lawsuit, and Taylor might be dragged into it, and Travis is out here making social media moves. Also in the Taylor Swift universe, her friend Gigi Hadid turned 30 over the weekend, and Gigi’s boyfriend, actor Bradley Cooper, wore an Eagles varsity jacket to her party. The gals also talk about how Ben Stiller flew to Detroit to go to the Knicks game, as did Timothée Chalamet and super-fan Spike Lee, and how everyone’s fighting everyone in the first round of the NBA playoffs. Finally, former NFL player Mel Owens will be the next Golden Bachelor, and the gals may have to bring back recaps. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Over the weekend, CBS News Sunday Morning ran an interview with former Patriots coach, current UNC coach Bill Belichick that featured his young girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. It was ostensibly to promote his new book, but it was so bizarre, so concerning, and so confusing that fans of The Sports Gossip Show begged Madeline and Charlotte to cover this strange development in the saga that is Bill and Jordon’s relationship. You asked, SGS delivered. The gals are here with an emergency episode about everyone’s favorite age-gap relationship on which they have, for better or for worse, become experts. Before Jordon enters the frame in CBS’ interview, viewers learn a fair amount about how Bill conducts himself with the media these days. Spoiler alert: Very similarly to how he always has. CBS’ Tony Dokoupil asks Bill about his upbringing and success with the Patriots. He presses Bill on why Patriots owner Robert Kraft doesn’t appear in his new book. Then, Dokoupil reveals that Jordon has been “a constant presence” during filming of the interview, and viewers see her interrupt the process to say “we’re not talking about this” when Dokoupil asks how the two met. Viewers also learn that Bill does not operate his own social media channels. Madeline and Charlotte dive deep into why this interview seems more concerning than any content Bill and Jordon have put out so far. They also discuss the potential psychology behind what’s going on here, how the people who were in Bill’s life before Jordon must feel about this, and wonder where things go from here. The gals are playing hurt today, but the show must go on, and it’s as good as ever. Things kick off with a few news items about the Boston Marathon, Paige Buecker’s Day in Minnesota, and how Duke star Cooper Flagg declared for the draft. Then, some relationship updates: the Indiana Fever’s Caitlin Clark went to the NBA playoffs with her boyfriend, the Fever’s Lexie Hull is engaged to Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Will Matthiessen, and UMiami basketball star Haley Cavinder and Dallas Cowboys tight end Jake Ferguson got engaged. Madeline notices footwear and rates how compressed the flowers are, and Charlotte notices the captions, and they both go on a tangent about Vera Bradley and American Girl Dolls. Plus: Eagles’ quarterback Jalen Hurts got engaged and was very chic about it. And Dodgers’ star Shohei Ohtani and his wife, Mamiko Tanaka, had a baby. Then, a hard pivot: Anthony Edwards got fined $50,000 for taunting the fans at the Minnesota Timberwolves-Lakers playoff game over the weekend (Timberwolves won). And the gals go right into some gossip about the NBA Playoffs! Clippers’ star Kawhi Leonard had amazing comeback game, Ben Stiller made a Severance hype video for the Knicks, and Knicks star OG Anunoby plays well when Anne Hathaway or Suni Lee are at the game…but Suni went on Monday and they lost. Plus, Celtics’ coach Joe Mazzulla is intense, and Houston Rockets guard Jalen Green sent a message to the public before going dark on social media for the 2025 NBA Playoffs. And, finally, a deep dive into the disastrous season that the Dallas Mavericks just completed. After making the shocking decision to trade former-Mavs star Luka Doncic to the Lakers in the middle of the night, general manager Nico Harrison is back on his heels in weird press conferences. An explosive report from ESPN’s Tim MacMahon sheds some light on what seems to be a very, very dysfunctional environment down in Texas, and the gals once again remind you that your employer is not your friend! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline and Charlotte could not be more thrilled to have ESPN's Elle Duncan on the show! Elle is the anchor of the 6 p.m. SportsCenter, co-host of her YouTube show and podcast “The Elle Duncan Show,” women’s college basketball host for ESPN’s College GameDay, and host of WNBA Countdown’s studio coverage throughout the WNBA season with Chiney Ogwumike and Andraya Carter. Elle just wrapped up a very busy women’s college basketball season and is heading into the WNBA season, so who better to talk about the draft and look ahead? Elle talks about why this year’s ratings can't be compared to last year’s and why there’s such exponential growth in women’s basketball. She tells Madeline and Charlotte whether anything in this year’s draft shocked her, why she loves Hailey Van Lith’s story, why she’s intrigued to see how Paige Bueckers and Arike Ogunbowale play together in Dallas, why the women’s college game seems more popular than the men’s these days, and why this year’s WNBA draft was “the social media draft.”Elle also tells the gals what it felt like to start working in women’s sports, how welcoming the women’s basketball world has been, and why hockey fans are the most intense. She reveals her favorite sports gossip moment of all time (when Tony Parker cheated on Eva Longoria with his teammate’s wife). And, finally, the show ends with Elle’s signature vibe check, but she's the one who has to answer the questions! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
It’s the week after the Masters, and there’s a lot to unpack. First, Madeline and Charlotte trade off some fun facts about the Masters, and talk about how pro golf is basically Comic-Con. Then it’s time to dive into all the drama surrounding Rory McIlroy and his historic win on Sunday — it involves fellow golfer Bryson DeChambeau, former tennis star Caroline Wozniacki, and his current wife, Erica Stoll. It also involves Tiger Woods’ divorce lawyer. The WNBA draft took place last night, and UConn star Paige Bueckers went No. 1 overall as expected, and managed to make the moment about her teammates because she seems absolutely delightful. ESPN’s Holly Rowe appears to have hard-launched basketball star Hailey Van Lith and NBA star Jalen Sugg’s relationship, the Golden State Valkyrie’s Shayenne Sellers got engaged and drafted in the same week, and everybody in basketball knows everyone else. Plus — the emergence of super athletes. An update on the Denver Nuggets’ firing of head coach Michael Malone and general manager Calvin Booth with only three games left in the regular season. Team president Josh Kroenke acknowledged that the timing was “crazy” and said neither Malone nor Booth “deserved it.” The gals reiterate that your employer is not your friend. And now, the moment you’ve all been waiting for: a conversation about The Athletic’s explosive Jordon Hudson reporting. UNC head coach and notorious 72 year old Bill Belichick’s 24-year-old girlfriend has been active on the school emails, talking about how hiring Bill’s son shouldn’t be advertised as nepotism. Also, she’s trademarked a lot of new companies for Bill lately, and her email signature says she’s the COO of a fake company. AND, she’s competing to be Miss Maine in the hopes of going on to compete in the Miss USA pageant. Finally, US vice president JD Vance dropped Ohio State’s trophy. A real metaphor! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The gals had too much to talk about this week, and LeBron James has been up to a lot, so they put together a quick special episode on the NBA star for your Thursday. First off, a quick update to the prolonged fight between LeBron and ESPN talking head Stephen A Smith (0:44) (for a full primer, listen to this episode of SGS). It turns out that Mattel is making a LeBron James Barbie (3:00)? And the gals….love it? Someone send them a doll ASAP. In other commercial news, Savannah James, LeBron’s wife, is starting a high end skin care brand (5:02), and resident skin-care expert Madeline tells you everything you need to know about it. Finally, the gals talk about actual basketball, and Charlotte issues an apology to the Lakers (10:24). Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Madeline is back from vacation (thank the good lord) and the gals are back in action! They start off by examining the recent breaking news that the Denver Nuggets fired head coach Michael Malone and GM Calvin Booth, which proves that companies will even kick star employees to the curb (3:19). March Madness has officially wrapped up, and Paige Bueckers and the UConn Huskies are champions after a ten-year drought (9:43). They’ve also broken the Candace Parker Curse, which you can learn all about here. The Florida men beat Houston to win a championship, but Madeline and Charlotte were not happy with the outcome. Notre Dame star Olivia Miles announced that she’s transferring to TCU (20:38). Speaking of TCU, star player Hailey Van Lith is now on the cover of Sports Illustrated Swim, so the gals decide where they’ll do their inevitable swim photoshoot (21:04). Then it’s time for a few couples updates: Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have been popping up in ski locales (24:09), soccer star Trinity Rodman hard-launched her tennis star boyfriend Ben Shelton (29:22), and LSU gymnast Livvy Dunne and Pittsburgh Pirate star Paul Skenes were featured in GQ (30:36). In news nobody saw coming, a biotech company backed by Tom Brady and Tiger Woods brought back the formerly-extinct dire wolf (do it to a dinosaur and the gals will be impressed) (36:05). Gisele Bünchen and her Jiu-Jitsu instructor Joaquim Valente will not be attending the Met Gala which makes Madeline think that Tom Brady will be there (39:55). And, finally, an update on everyone’s favorite couple: Bill Belichick and Jordon Hudson (41:21). Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
This episode of The Sports Gossip Show is going to be a little different. Madeline is on vacation, so Charlotte takes you through a few of the major stories in sports before getting to a pre-recorded mailbag episode (starting at 13:15) with the two of them (because of course the dynamic duo still makes an appearance!). The updates start with March Madness and Charlotte’s UConn/Duke bias, but don’t worry, she’ll explain (1:34). Notre Dame’s Olivia Miles shocked the basketball world by deciding to stay in college instead of going to the WNBA draft, where she was projected to be taken second — but there’s a catch. She’s entering the transfer portal! LeBron James started another media beef, this time with ESPN’s Brian Windhorst on The Pat McAfee Show (6:07). Savannah James is starting a new beauty line, but Madeline needs to be the one to talk about this. The Yankees had an MIT physicist design new bats for them (10:09), and the Timberwolves and Pistons got into a huge fight on the court. Tom Brady has a fake new girlfriend (it was just his friend’s wife going to a party with him, at which the friend was at) (12:17), and Tiger Woods is doing too much for April Fool’s Day (12:17). Then, it’s time for the mailbag (13:15): the gals answer a bunch of questions! Including: Is Jordon Hudson being a good momager for Bill Belichick? Funniest current sports gossip stories to tell non-sports friends (14:46 )? Like the Mahomes, if you had to name children after a theme what names would you pick (20:33)? What sports generate the most gossip (23:35)? Who is the best power couple in sports? What sports needs to be more dramatic? What sports did Madeline and Charlotte play growing up(34:48)? Favorite story each of them have written/covered (40:33)? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The show starts off with a little birthday talk, because Charlotte is a year older today! The gals then dive right into some fun announcements. Tennis star Ben Shelton medium-launch soccer star Trinity Rodman on Instagram, and wide receiver DK Metcalf is engaged to singer Normani (a discussion about wedding florals ensues). Track star Gabby Thomas is also engaged! Plus: Is announcing your engagement in legacy media cool again? Then it’s March Madness time! Juju Watkins, the star player for USC, is out for the season (and possibly longer) with an ACL tear. But, before she got hurt, she and Jayden Daniels, quarterback for the Commanders, were spotted hanging out… with his mom. UConn’s star Paige Bueckers is helping her teammates and balling out while doing so. Amir Khan, the student manager for McNeese State, is the first student manager to get NIL deals. What do the gals need to do to go viral like this? And UConn men’s coach, Dan Hurley, got very angry on camera!Tiger Woods and Vanessa Trump, Donald Trump Jr.’s ex-wife, are dating, and Tiger posted a very hard launch on Instagram. The caption is bizarre, and the photos are even weirder, so the gals break it all down (also, never forget that Tiger Woods once dated LeAnn Rimes). Also, apparently the Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, got Bill Belichick the UNC job? Sophia Bush, actress and girlfriend of soccer player Ashlyn Harris, was spotted with the initials SBH on her phone case — are they married?? Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra’s ex-wife, Nikki, was rumored to be hooking up with young Heat star Jamie Jaquez Jr…but she quickly debunked that in an Instagram Reel. Quick Aaron Rodgers update: He’s not employed, and Madeline is worried. Plus: UMiami quarterback Carson Beck and UMiami basketball star Hanna Cavinder broke up. And the Mavs are still struggling. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Most of you probably know this by now, but Bill Belichick — former Patriots head coach and current UNC head coach — has a much-younger girlfriend named Jordon Hudson. Now, Madeline and Charlotte have been talking about this story for as long as this show has existed. But recent events have catapulted Bill and Jordon into the news even more, so they’ve put together a timeline of the relationship, complete with analysis. Listeners asked, so you shall receive. It starts off with last week’s news — that Bill asked UNC communications staff to CC Jordon on all of his emails. Bill and Jordon also posed in very acrobatic ways on the beach. Thank you to everyone who reached out to the gals in light of these developments. The show starts at the beginning: When Bill and Jordon met on a plane in 2021. The story takes some crazy turns from there, and involves philosophy, meeting on a plane, cheerleading conventions, The Roast of Tom Brady, social media, corn mazes, mermaid and fisherman Halloween costumes, Ring camera footage, a feud with Boston radio, the University of North Carolina, the president of Croatia (???), the Super Bowl, Maine fishermen, trad wives, and, finally, AcroYoga on the beach. The gals also talk about what this relationship — and the fascination with it — says about gender roles in America right now, and how maybe Jordon and Bill are soul mates after all.  Hosted on Acast. Madeline and Charlotte are very excited to welcome Kelsey McKinney to the show! Kelsey is the foremost expert on gossip, having written The New York Times and USA Today bestseller You Didn’t Hear This From Me: (Mostly) True Notes on Gossip, a co-owner and features writer at Defector, and one of the co-creators of the hit podcast Normal Gossip.Kelsey is also a die-hard Philadelphia sports fan and sports gossip enthusiast. She joins the show to talk about her great new book, and the importance of sports gossip. She helps the gals answer some very important questions, such as: Why does it matter how we talk about sports? Are sports statistics actually just vibes? Is gossip actually the best way to bet on sports? Should you adopt the team of the city you live in if you didn’t grow up there? Are the Phillies cursed because they’re playing the wrong version of a Robyn song? Why do recreational and youth sports breed so much gossip? How is gossip about in-groups and out-groups? Is gossiping about one person actually the best way to make a sports team successful? Are there rules to gossip? The episode ends with Kelsey telling the gals the most amazing pieces of gossip related to a Super Bowl they’ve ever heard. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Welcome back to another episode of the Sports Gossip Show! We start out with a few cute announcements: UWNT star Sophia Smith and Arizona Cardinals' wide receiver, Michael Wilson, are expecting a baby! So are Olivia Culpo and Christian McCaffrey, and both couples posted announcements that get the gals talking about the types of athlete baby announcements. The 49ers cut Kirstin Juszczyk’s husband Kyle — Kristin just launched a clothing brand, Offseason, and is known for making amazing garments out of NFL jerseys. Sorry to Kyle, but maybe his new team will spark another creative idea for his wife. LeBron James went up to ESPN’s Stephen A Smith after a Lakers game and told him to stop talking about his son, Bronny, who famously became an NBA player last year. Stephen A is taking this and running with it! And honestly, the gals are pretty confused at this point! But that doesn’t stop them from having many thoughts. The Sixers got booed at WWE Smackdown in Philadelphia, because Philly fans are nothing if not consistent. And Timothée Chalamet took Kylie Jenner to the Indian Wells tennis tournament, and the resulting video is…very funny. UNC head coach Bill Belichick and his girlfriend Jordon Hudson are still doing the most at the University of North Carolina. Plus, an unconfirmed Sports Gossip Show scoop about why Hard Knocks isn’t happening there. We’re just asking questions! Detroit Pistons player Malik Beasley’s wife, Montana Yao, filed for legal separation. Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts had dinner with Michael Jordan, because Hurts is now a Jordan Brand athlete. Michael Jordan, come on the pod! And here’s a news item we didn’t have on our sports bingo card: Former Canada Olympic snowboarder Ryan Wedding was added to FBI’s 10 most wanted list for allegedly running an international drug ring and orchestrating murders related to it. Finally, we check in with our guy (lol) Aaron Rodgers, who might be the quarterback of a new team by the time you read this. He allegedly wanted to go to the Rams…did he listen to us and consult his astrocartography chart?? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Sports Gossip Show is back! Madeline has a bone to pick with Dave and Buster’s, and Charlotte wishes the internet were never invented. Anyway, onwards! This week starts with a salute to Diana Taurasi, who retired after 20 years with the Mercury. Then, some reporting from Madeline on NBA Centel, the parody account on X that briefly went away last week. Is there internal turmoil in the Centel universe? Speaking of the NBA, the Lakers are playing out of their minds and the Mavs are falling apart. Kyrie Irving blew out his knee and ownership is now…raising prices? This somehow leads to an important conversation about t-shirts.Some personal news: Travis Kelce, tight end for the Chiefs, is not retiring after all. The gals speculate as to why he’s coming back. Did his girlfriend Taylor Swift help him make the decision? Plus, Wes from this season of The Traitors weighed in and said he knew Travis and Taylor were dating for months before anyone else knew. Madeline and Charlotte go on a very important journey about which reality shows they’d like to be on.Bill Belichick and his girlfriend, Jordan Hudson, are once again up to stuff. They will not appear on the reality show Hard Knocks, after it seemed like a done deal. Creative control seemed to be the problem, and the gals speculate that Jordon wanted to be in charge more than producers were willing to let her. Jordon recently weighed in on politics, and the gals are pretty sure she’s playing the long game for something. Former Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers may play for the Giants this year, and the gals think he needs to check his astrocartography before he signs up. Speaking of the Jets, the players graded ownership, and owner Woody Johnson got an F. Plus, the Cincinnati Bengals need to be better when it comes to families. Maybe toxic workplaces aren’t great! Then, in MLS news, the Houston Dynamo apologized that Inter Miami star Lionel Messi didn’t play in Houston, and gave fans a free ticket to another game. The Mavericks should pay attention! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Sports Gossip Show is back with another episode full of all the athletic drama you could dream of. Madeline and Charlotte start out with a proposal — Milwaukee Bucks player Kyle Kuzma is engaged to supermodel Winnie Harlow! The happy couple celebrated with the time-honored tradition of athlete-style flower arrangements and an announcement in Vogue, the 30 Under 30 of weddings. UConn basketball star Paige Bueckers was featured in GQ magazine, and she looked phenomenal. The gals dig into the New York Yankees new policy that will allow, for the first time in close to 50 years, facial hair. Are the Yankees the sorority girls of baseball? The gals discuss. Reigning NFL MVP Josh Allen saved the launch party of his fiancée, actress Hailee Steinfeld, by ripping open a vending machine. Speaking of physical strength, the 4 Nations hockey tournament was a display of athleticism, politics, and fistfights. San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembenyama is sadly out for the rest of the season with a blood clot in his shoulder, which brings up the question, “who is the face of the NBA?” And some talk about how cool the French are. JJ Reddick, coach of the Los Angeles Lakers, has been giving some amazing locker room speeches lately, and NFL champion A.J. Brown bought a mannequin to display his unwashed uniform. Plus: Timothée Chalamet played poker with LeBron James’ agent, Rich Paul, and Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla is once again saying weird stuff. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Welcome to the first-ever mailbag episode of The Sports Gossip Show! Madeline and Charlotte loved getting your questions and going through them — some real bangers on the show today. The gals start off by telling you all how they got in touch and why they started a podcast together before they ever met in person. Then: Who has the better house, former Arizona Cardinals coach Kliff Kingsbury, or Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker (and are they in the same gated community)?A question for the ages: What old sports gossip do the gals wish SGS was around for (lookin’ at you, Tiger, Taylor, and Larsa and Marcus)? Then, Madeline explains what a PR relationship is for celebrities and how they come to be. If SGS could ’ship one celebrity and an athlete, who would it be (and why would it be hoping that Laura Dern and Baron Davis get back together)? As always, the Jordon Hudson and Bill Belichick portion of the show: What should their celebrity name be? Best sporting event each of your intrepid hosts have been to? How did Madeline and Charlotte get into sports and what’s a good way to get your kids into them? What’s the best guess as to Tom Brady’s daily routine? And, the question you’ve all been waiting for: Will we get a Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce engagement announcement in 2025?Then, some fun stuff: The Sports Gossip Show shares beauty routines, favorite clothing brands, and other very, very important information.  Hosted on Acast. The Sports Gossip Show is back, and after a quick detour about SNL 50, Madeline and Charlotte get into this week’s hot sports goss. First, a Valentine’s Day update on the most talked about couple in the sports world — UNC coach Bill Belichick and his young girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. Then, after watching Kylie Kelce’s interview with Alex Cooper on Call Her Daddy, the gals do a little bit of detective work on Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift. An NBA All-Star Weekend post-mortem: The events were weird, for a number of reasons. Madeline and Charlotte talk about how LiAngelo Ball performed, Mac McClung won the dunk contest for the third time in a row, MrBeast was there, and Inside The NBA got a fake funeral. Bring back All-Stars dunking! Hire The Sports Gossip Show to consult on All-Star, they’ll fix it.A very important news item about Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker and his girlfriend, supermodel Kendall Jenner. They were spotted skiing in Aspen, and the gals provide a few very important facts about the place where they had lunch. Then, Charlotte floats a conspiracy theory about LeBron James and the Luka Doncic trade re: the Mavericks — could it have to do with Las Vegas? Listen to find out. Paige Bueckers, UConn basketball star, tried to sneak away from an interview, which was somehow very relatable. Napheesa Collier won a tournament in her new Unrivaled league and made as much money in 30 minutes as she does in one WNBA season. Aaron Rodgers has indicated that he wants to play next season, which is the best news Madeline has ever heard. And finally: Which is it? A quote from Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla or a line that got cut from the movie The Town? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
The Sports Gossip Show is thrilled to announce the gal’s first-ever in-person guest,Katie Nolan! You know her and love her from various stops at Fox Sports and ESPN, and now she’s here with her fantastic new show,Casuals, a Sirius XM podcast. Katie sat down withMadeline andCharlotte to dish about the biggest stories in sports at the moment, as well as some all-time favorites. They talk about the big Luka Doncic trade and continued fall-out that the Dallas Mavericks’ organization is dealing with, and a messy situation the Lakers’ have gotten themselves into involving a trade that didn’t happen. Katie ties her beloved Boston Bruins into the whole mess, as any good Boston sports fan is obligated to do. Katie and Madeline shame Charlotte for never watching the Real Housewives franchise, and talk about the best moments in Housewives history that overlapped with the sports world (spoiler alert: Larsa Pippen, Jen Shah, if you know, you know). The gals also get into the mess that was the New England Patriots at the height of their powers, and the mess that now surrounds former head coach Bill Belichick and his young girlfriend, Jordon Hudson. Katie talks about how we’ve come to expect a certain way of being from Belichick, and when he suddenly does a 180 at his age, we’re all a little confused. Other topics include dressing yourself, the end of Twitter (or X, whatever), LeBron’s choice of words, and then Charlotte leaves Madeline and Katie with a shocking revelation about who Tom Sandoval reminds her of (watchthis and thenthis and tell her she's wrong). It’s the Monday after the Super Bowl, otherwise known as the Super Bowl Of Gossip From The Super Bowl. The Sports Gossip Showwas built for this moment and we’re here to take you through the off-field nonsense surrounding the NFL’s biggest night. First, the gals recap the game. TL;DR — it sucked. Congrats to the Eagles, and sorry to the Chiefs, but woof, Kansas City really didn’t show up.Madeline andCharlotte break down Taylor Swift’s outfit, who was in her suite (they were right about that part, not to brag), and why Travis Kelce looks even sadder with his longer hair. Jon Hamm and Bradley Cooper announced the teams, even though it should’ve been Anne Hathaway and Karlie Kloss. And it’s hard to look cool in a weird suit after you lose the Super Bowl. Then it’s time to break down the Dunkin’ commercial featuring Bill Belichick and his young girlfriend Jordon Hudson. SGS has been on this story for months now, so the gals provide all the backstory you need to know if you’re just learning about this couple. Then, a quick run-down of who else was at the game. Maybe most importantly? The halftime show featuring Kendrick Lamar, who once again disposed of Drake and brought out the one and only Serena Williams. 10/10 performance, no notes. Then a very important update about Saquon Barkley, Jalen Hurts, Cooper DeJean, and birthday cake. Finally, an update about Aaron Rodgers (keep this man employed!) and some NBA gossip involving — once again — the Lakers and the Mavericks. The Luka Doncic trade is the content gift that keeps on giving. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
Welcome to The Sports Gossip Show’s Super Bowl Preview Extravaganza! In which Madeline and Charlotte give you all the gossip about key players in order to make sure your viewing experience is as juicy as possible.First, however — a quick discussion about how wild the Warriors will be now that Jimmy Butler has been traded from the Miami Heat to Golden State. And it turns out that Pat Riley, team president of the Heat, has the word “threepeat” trademarked, and has said the Chiefs can use it if they win their third Super Bowl in a row. This somehow leads to the discovery that Madeline and Charlotte both love bridges, which sends them into a mini spiral, and Charlotte laughs so hard she cries. Anyway! The Super Bowl! First, some football context about the actual game and why the stakes are so high (it’s a rematch of 2023). Then, the gals take you through the most important people and their backstories. Who is Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts engaged to? How did Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes meet his wife Brittany Mahomes? Who is Travis Kelce dating — lol just kidding, you know that one. Madeline and Charlotte ask the important questions when it comes to Taylor Swift. What will she wear? Who will she sit with? How many times will the broadcast show her? Will we see a Haim sister?Plus: How will Travis’ sister-in-law Kylie Kelce deal with her conflicting fandom, and will model and businesswoman Gigi Hadid — one of Taylor Swift’s best friends — root for her boyfriend, Bradley Cooper, and his Philadelphia Eagles? Or for her best friend’s boyfriend? All this and more ahead of The Big Game! Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
WOW, folks, The Sports Gossip Show is coming at you a day early because we need to dissect the most shocking trade in NBA history (also because Charlotte is traveling for the Super Bowl, give a shout if you’ll be in New Orleans!). The Dallas Mavericks traded Luka Doncic and he’s on the Los Angeles Lakers now, in exchange for Lakers big man Anthony Davis. Madeline and Charlotte break down all of the potential thought processes behind the massive move that Mavs GM Nico Harrison made under the cover of night with his old buddy Rob Pelinka, who just so happens to be the GM of the Lakers. The video of Luka arriving in LA is really something, and Lakers star LeBron James claims he didn’t know about any of this. There was also a lot of movement in the WNBA recently. DeWanna Bonner and her girlfriend Alyssa Thomas were sent to different teams, and NaLyssa Smith and Dijonai Carrington, who are in a relationship, are now on the Dallas Wings together. And the Connecticut Sun…no longer have their entire starting lineup from 2024? Noah Lyles, US track and field star and technically the fastest man in the world after the 2024 Olympics, has once again challenged NFL player Tyreek Hill to a race (?). Kevin Love seems like he’s trying to become a meme lord — is this his retirement plan? The gals once again check in on Bill Belichick and his girlfriend Jordon Hudson, because there might be trouble in paradise given recent Instagram activity. And Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman went to a WWE match! This is a public episode. The Sports Gossip Show is back with another very special guest for the second week in a row (not to brag). The gals are thrilled to be talking to Beau Allen, who won a Super Bowl with the Philadelphia Eagles in 2018 and is rooting for them as they head to their second Super Bowl in three years!Beau had an illustrious NFL career with the Eagles, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and New England Patriots. Since retiring, he’s appeared regularly on Green Light with Chris Long, and, more recently, has shared the stage with Kylie Kelce on Jason Kelce’s ESPN show They Call It Late Night. He’s also devoted himself to his pickleball team, the Space Weasels. Beau was kind enough to hop on the show with Madeline and Charlotte to discuss what it’s like to win a Super Bowl, the power of a good tunnel fit, what he didn’t understand about the movie Wicked, how he ended up playing Kylie on Jason’s show, his worst athletic defeat of all time, and much more. This is a public episode. If you’d like to discuss this with other subscribers or get access to bonus episodes, visit sportsgossipshow.substack.com/subscribe Hosted on Acast. The Super Bowl match-up is set, and it’s a rematch: Chiefs-Eagles. While The Sports Gossip Show is sad for Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills, the gals couldn’t be happier — content-wise — to have Taylor Swift in the suite for yet another championship. Madeline and Charlotte dissect Taylor’s outfit and behavior on the field after watching her boyfriend Travis Kelce win yet another AFC Championship, and how Taylor’s vibes have officially gone from girlfriend to wife. Also: Taylor and Travis’ moms appeared to wear matching scarves, a debate around dynasties, and (most importantly) the best football fits from Championship weekend. Then it’s time to give Madison Keys her flowers for winning the Australian Open — the American tennis player won her first Grand Slam by beating the world No. 1 and No. 2. Her speech might have made the hosts of this show tear up. Also at the Australian Open? Joe Burrow! Maybe he should stay there through the Super Bowl so he isn’t sad. Next up: the historic, blockbuster WNBA trade that sent Jewell Lloyd to the Las Vegas Aces and Kelsey Plum to the LA Sparks. Does this add fuel to the fiery rumor that college star Paige Bueckers could end up ...pulling an Eli Manning and ending up in Seattle? Also, Jimmy Butler and the Heat are still being dramatic. The star NBA player and Miami Heat management keep butting heads, and Jimmy keeps needling the team, and the Heat keep suspending him. Do they even remember what they’re fighting over at this point? Tough to say. The gals then bring up a name you haven’t heard on SGS in a minute: Aaron Rodgers. The Jets have hired a new head coach and new general manager, and Aaron’s future is murky. The Cowboys have also hired someone new, and owner Jerry Jones sounded less than enthused about the choice that he made himself. Finally, a quick check-in on Bill Belichick and his young girlfriend.  This is a public episode. They talk about the Taylor Swift vs. Hailee Steinfeld bowl (Chiefs-Bills), the incredible rise of Commanders rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels and why moms taking pictures with celebrities is one of life’s inevitabilities, the karmic justice of Washington being great after Dan Snyder sells the team, Eagles running back Saquon Barkley’s “inner glow,” the Taylor Swiftification that would be a Chiefs three-peat, and much more. Plus: Mina shares her Roman Empire of sports gossip — aka the story she still thinks about seven years later. Hint: it involves Jimmy Garoppolo and a specific date he went on. This is a public episode. The Sports Gossip Show is back the day after the National Championship to break down the big game — and by that, Madeline and Charlotte clearly mean talking about why Ohio State has stickers on their helmets. While the gals are sad for head coach Marcus Freeman and the Notre Dame guys, they’re happy for Ohio State, and wish that news outlets would get the name of Will Howard’s girlfriend right. Then it’s onto the NFL, because America has been blessed with the Swift-Steinfeld Bowl — the Chiefs and the Bills are facing off the in the AFC Championship (if you don’t know what any of that means, listen to the show). Also, does Josh Allen have a southern accent? For gossip about the NFC match-up, stay tuned: Later this week, SGS has a full NFC/AFC Championship Sunday preview with a very special guest! Then it’s time for an update on Jimmy Butler, who is dressing up like Michael Jordan and still being mischievous in Miami. Is he a performance artist? Yes. Madeline and Charlotte also have to talk about Bill Belichick’s 24-year-old girlfriend, Jordan, who won’t stop posting on the internet. Has Bill already been looped into filming a reality show? The gals theorize. Celtics head coach Joe Mazzulla applauded when star Jayson Tatum got into a fight, and Mazzulla might be a basketball robot. American tennis star Danielle Collins did a full heel-turn down in Australia, and the gals love it. In “athletes and flowers” news (which SGS tracks very carefully) Patriots quarterback Drake Maye got engaged, and Tim Tebow and his wife are expecting a baby. In between those two topics, Madeline and Charlotte talk about how F1 driver Lewis Hamilton and actress Sofia Sofia Vergara were spotted out together with friends. As always, you can text SGS or leave a voicemail: 712-7GOSSIP (712-746-7747) This is a public episode. The Sports Gossip Show is back with a special episode ahead of the College Football National Championship. Madeline and Charlotte break down everything you need to know to make your viewing experience the most fun when Notre Dame and Ohio State take the field on Monday night. Do you ever watch a big game and think, who is that player dating? Where is this coach from? Why does this college kid endorse this company that sells clothes for dads? Madeline and Charlotte also break down the vibes between the teams, conferences, and general landscape of college football. Most importantly, SGS gives you a comprehensive list of the main characters in this drama. Did you know that Ohio head coach Ryan Day and his offensive coordinator Chip Kelly are both from…New Hampshire? Or that Notre Dame quarterback Riley Leonard and running back Jeremiah Love are sponsored by Stanley? Or that ND head coach Marcus Freeman went to Ohio State and has failed to beat them twice as a head coach? SGS has all the juicy storylines you need before kickoff. This is a public episode. This week begins with Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes welcoming their third child named Golden (joining her siblings Sterling and Bronze). And Taylor Swift liked the Instagram post announcing it! Speaking of Taylor, she will definitely be at the Chiefs’ first playoff game, according to her boyfriend Travis Kelce. Madeline and Charlotte try to guess what she’ll wear, but only time will tell. Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown set the internet on fire when he read a self-published self-help book on the sidelines. The gals do a deep dive into the book — which became a best-seller the next day — and wonder if it goes all the way to the top. Cowboys’ owner and Emmy-worthy actor Jerry Jones needs a new head coach…and he’s allegedly talking to former Cowboy and current Colorado head coach Deion Sanders. Is it Prime Time in Dallas, and is it a family affair? Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman is facing his alma mater Ohio State in the College Football Playoff National Championship. Which brings the gals to an important conversation about leprechauns and gnomes. Next, tennis is back! Madeline and Charlotte talk about how recently-retired tennis star Andy Murray is coaching….Novak Djokovic? The former rivals have teamed up. Also, American star Coco Gauff got very honest about her commitment to her New Balance outfit and the Sports Gossip Show deeply respects it.Former Georgia quarterback Carson Beck is going to play football at UMiami, and is reunited with UMiami basketball player Hanna Cavinder, who happens to be his girlfriend. Next, it is time to — once again — see what Bill Belichick’s young girlfriend is up to. She recently publicly congratulated the…president of Croatia? Then there’s a wellness check on MLB star Bryce Harper, who appears to be cooking with two black eyes. Finally, the gals dig into a little Premier League drama — Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola and his wife, Cristina Serra, have decided to separate after over 30 years together. This is a public episode. If you’d like to discuss this with other subscribers or get access to bonus episodes, visit sportsgossipshow.substack.com/subscribe Hosted on Acast. Welcome to the first show of 2025! After two weeks away, The Sports Gossip Show is starting the new year off with a bang by announcing that you can call or text us 712-7GOSSIP (712-746-7747)! Send your hottest takes, your juiciest tips, and your best jokes — if they’re funny enough, Madeline and Charlotte might even play them on the show.  Now onto the good stuff: The thirst trap artist returns. AKA, Tom Brady posted another picture where he is shirtless. This time he wasn’t fishing, but he did show off how he throws a football. Then Madeline gives a rundown of all the athlete engagements you missed over the break, and discusses her deep dive on Impersonal Foul into athlete flower arrangements. Cowboys’ owner Jerry Jones is waiting for his EGOT: Madeline and Charlotte dissect his star turn in Taylor Sheridan’s show Landman. Spoiler alert: He’s a very good actor?? Speaking of dramatic turns, NBA star Jimmy Butler and the Heat are locked into a war of the wills because Jimmy wants out. Is this like a marriage? Maybe! Speaking of NBA, Draya Michele brought her 22-year-old son to see her 22-year-old boyfriend/father of her child/NBA star Jalen Green play basketball. Kristen Cavallari wants us to think she’s dating Tom Brady, and Bill Belichick’s 24-year-old girlfriend is bedazzling UNC gear. Madeline talks about how Notre Dame beat her Georgia Bulldogs, and why she’s rooting for the Irish now (spoiler alert: their head coach Marcus Freeman is hot). There’s a lot of drama with the San Diego Padres ownership, and it’s almost exactly like a plotline from the TV show Succession. In other baseball news, Shohei Ohtanhi and his wife Mamiko Tanaka are expecting a baby! And, finally, some coaches got fired, Joe Burrow isn’t in the playoffs, and actress Edie Falco wants to punch NBA player TJ McConnell in the face. Happy new year! This is a public episode. Madeline and Charlotte watched Enigma, that three-hour long documentary about Aaron Rodgers on Netflix and are telling you what they thought about it. It’s quite an experience: the footage takes viewers along with Rodgers as he contemplates becoming Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s running mate, as he tries to return to the football field with the New York Jets after tearing his Achilles tendon, and as he does Ayahuasca in Costa Rica. Rodgers also touches on his brother Jordon’s appearance on The Bachelorette, where Jordan revealed that Aaron and his family are no longer on speaking terms. The gals also figured out the key to Rodgers’ happiness using astrocartography. Find another podcast doing that. The series itself was pretty boring, but it was fascinating to look at the broader meaning of the whole project. What is a true documentary? Why do we still watch stuff about and care about Aaron Rodgers? Why does this series perpetuate dangerous ideas that don’t get fact-checked? And what does it all say about us as a society? All that and more! This is a public episode. If you’d like to discuss this with other subscribers or get access to bonus episodes, visit sportsgossipshow.substack.com/subscribe Hosted on Acast. This week’s episode of the Sports Gossip Show starts where you all knew it would: talking about how Magic Johnson went to Erewhon to try D’Angelo Russell’s new expensive smoothie. Madeline and Charlotte learn that a LeBron James meme greatly influenced Gracie Abrams’ music, and Charlotte reveals her personal connection to Gracie. Travis Kelce had to go to a Chiefs’ holiday party on Taylor Swift’s birthday, but they made it work (he’s a company man!). Taylor also visited kids in a Kansas City hospital and joked about the 49ers, which was all very sweet and wholesome. And the gals shoutout Kylie Kelce’s new No. 1 podcast. Bill Belichick is the new head coach of the University of North Carolina’s football team because the NFL didn’t want him. Madeline and Charlotte wonder if his girlfriend, 24-year-old Jordon, is pulling the strings? And then a quick Aaron Rodgers update involving…curses?Joe Burrow’s house was robbed while he was playing the Cowboys in Dallas and a Sports Illustrated swimsuit model, Olivia Ponton, was there. Madeline and Charlotte don’t really know what’s going on, but they do that Joe really seems to be going through it. Heisman winner Travis Hunter also seems to be going through it — because people are mad that his girlfriend, Leanna Lenee, didn’t stand up at the Heisman ceremony. She attempted to set the record straight, and it’s all pretty silly. Plus: Ohio wants to make planting flags a felony, and the Pop Tart bowl just keeps getting better and better. Madeline and Charlotte start off The Sports Gossip Show today with a few updates. The first photos of Gisele Bündchen (Tom Brady’s ex-wife) surfaced after she announced she’s expecting a baby with her jiu-jitsu-instructor boyfriend. She looks very happy on the beach!! And women’s former soccer star Ali Krieger issued a masterful non-statement statement about her divorce from former soccer player Ashlyn Harris — is this because of what Harris said on a podcast? Then it’s time for actual breaking news: the FIRST EVER EXCLUSIVE Sports Gossip Show scoop regarding actor Timothée Chalamet’s picks on College GameDay. Listen and learn! The gals then dive into how Caitlin Clark is Time’s Athlete of the Year and was photographed by Cass Bird (this leads to a brief tangent about Cass Bird and her fiancé Jenna Lyons). We watched a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader watch her boyfriend kick a field goal against the Cowboys...and it’s fine. Also, Tennis star Taylor Fritz dyed his hair blonde and regretted it, so he dyed it back to brown. Speaking of bleached hair, Bengals’ quarterback Joe Burrow wore an eccentric suit and bought a Batmobile for….a lot of money (this leads to a brief tangent about flared pants and boat shoes). Is it because his Saturn is in return? And WNBA player Kate Martin got drafted to be a Golden State Valkyrie. Martin’s girlfriend Claire Gransee posted a very cute video about it. And finally, the trailer for the Netflix documentary about Aaron Rodgers called “Enigma” dropped….and it seems like he is anything but an enigma. He says he’ll disappear after he retires, and the gals aren’t buying it. Finally, Shailene Woodley spoke about being engaged to Rodgers and how depressed she’s been since they broke it off. This week kicks off with two facts that Madeline and Charlotte learned from their followers on Instagram — keep the tips coming! Then it’s time for the Taylor Swift update of the week: she hosted Travis and the entire Kelce family at her home in Nashville (including our favorite, Kylie Kelce)! Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen got engaged to actress Hailee Steinfeld in Malibu, and then his ex-girlfriend claimed she was hacked after her account posted a wild comment on Instagram. Do Madeline and Charlotte believe her? Where will Josh and Hailee get married? The gals cover it all. Then they dive into how Ali Krieger medium-launched a new girlfriend, Scottish soccer player Jen Beattie. Madeline and Charlotte also cover the big brawls that took place over rivalry weekend in college football. Maybe because there were no Black Friday sales? Ohio State and Michigan (and many other schools) showed why college football might have to ban flags at football games. Speaking of college football, former football coach Urban Meyer was seen at a grocery store bar in Ohio, seemingly alone. Also, Aaron Rodgers once again threw his teammates under the bus, and The Sports Gossip Show is talking about it, because he is in the 27th season of a bad reality show that they can’t quit. The episode rounds out with Tom Brady’s latest Instagram post, which is a shirtless thirst trap featuring a fish. Is this a call for ladies to slide into his DMs? This is a public episode. The gals start out the Thanksgiving Week podcast by talking about Wicked, which is basically the Iron Bowl from 2013. Then, Madeline and Charlotte go into one of the most important updates of the week: Kylie Kelce — Jason Kelce’s wife and Travis Kelce’s sister-in-law — announced she’s pregnant and is also starting a new podcast! Kylie, if you’re reading this, we’d like to be friends and please come on The Sports Gossip Show. Also, Ed Kelce, Jason’s and Travis’ father, went to the Eras Tour, which is basically a proposal. One more Taylor Swift-related update: Khalen Saunders went to the Eras Tour. If you don’t know who that is, listen to the show. Then it’s time for the Aaron Rodgers update of the week, which is that the Jets are falling apart. Madeline explains why the Jets are basically a celebrity brand at this point. The Giants are also falling apart — and Tommy DeVito is back with his Italian hand gestures. Charlotte is upset that her favorite steakhouse in New York City just sold to Tilman Fertitta, the owner of the Rockets. Celtics star Jaylen Brown met Bill Nye The Science Guy and immediately had an incredible game. Then it’s time to talk about Tom Brady’s auction at Sotheby’s — which is for aesthetes? The show ends with two very important stories about butts. Happy Thanksgiving everybody! This is a public episode. This episode of The Sports Gossip Show starts with the important stuff — Joe Burrow wore a baby blue suit. So Madeline and Charlotte discuss it, as well as the Bengals’ struggles despite heroics from Joey B. Beyoncé is performing at the Netflix Christmas games…that is, if the stream works. Then it’s time for your weekly Tom Brady update, because he went to a Knicks game, and so did Anne Hathaway (she lost her popcorn). Then the gals discuss the great news that “Inside The NBA” sticking around — and find an apt comparison in the reality TV space. Livvy Dunne and Paul Skenes had a very awkward video go viral, so naturally Madeline and Charlotte dissect it and end up talking about snacks and being tall. The Chiefs undefeated streak ended last weekend, and somehow this leads to wondering if Jordyn Woods and Tristan Thompson will be reunited at MSG in April? The Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla has been saying the weirdest things, and Madeline has a revelation that breaks Charlotte’s heart. Also, the Cowboys are quite literally falling apart, and Jerry Jones needs to let go. Plus: New Pop-Tart bowl mascots! This is a public episode. In this week’s episode of The Sports Gossip Show, Madeline and Charlotte thank everyone who’s listened so far, because the show has surpassed 500,000 downloads! They couldn’t do it without all of your support, so please keep listening and telling your friends. Then they dive right in, because Taylor Swift wore an interesting outfit to the Chiefs game, where she watched her boyfriend Travis Kelce tie a Chiefs’ record (this prompts a discussion about cake at work and performance reviews). Taylor and Travis also posed with tennis star Frances Tiafoe, who was at the game with his tennis player girlfriend, Ayan Broomfield. Madeline and Charlotte dive into the lore of Taylor and Travis at the US Open (also, someone should send the Sports Gossip Show to Wimbledon next year, just saying). Travis’s ex-girlfriend, Kayla Nicole, said a few things that raise the question: what’s the etiquette on friends post-breakup slash being in weddings in your 20s? Madeline and Charlotte give the latest Aaron Rodgers update (keep this man employed!). Then, they talk about how the Auburn men’s basketball team had to turn a plane around on the way to a game because two players got into a fight. Speaking of fights, NBA stars Giannis Antetokounmpo and Jaylen Brown got into a “childish” fight…or was it? The sports gossipers also provide an update about Tom Brady’s vlog. Plus, more evidence for the theory about when he found out his ex-wife, Gisele Bunchen, was pregnant. The gals close out the show by psychoanalyzing LeBron James’ dreams and explaining why Duke University needs him to play for them, followed by a quick update on the DeMar DeRozan/Drake feud, which involves the owner of the Sacramento Kings. Oh, and Freddie Freeman got a cat.  This is a public episode. It’s election day in America, and Madeline and Charlotte are very glad they can bury their heads in sports gossip — hopefully this is an escape for you, too, in the days to come. So let’s get into it: Taylor Swift was at the Chiefs game and wore shorts again, which the gals have thoughts about. Kelly Stafford, wife of LA Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford, said that the NFL showed Taylor Swift too much at the games that it outshone the players. But then she dressed as Taylor Swift for Halloween? Madeline and Charlotte have questions. Also, Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen threw a Halloween party, which seems like a lot of work. Then, a few crucial updates: more evidence that Bill Belichick’s 23-year-old girlfriend is running his Instagram, plus what his ex-girlfriend dressed up as for Halloween (hint: it was the same thing as Karlie Kloss). Madeline provides a key follow-up to Tom Brady finding out his ex-wife Gisele was pregnant (it has to do with his vlogs). The rapper Drake and former Raptor DeMar DeRozan got into a fight. Sort of. It was really one-sided, but the gals dive into it anyway. How does LeBron factor into this? Listen and learn. Then, Jordyn Woods’ has a new song and her boyfriend, Knicks star, Karl-Anthony Towns, appears in the music video. Speaking of the Kardashians, Tristan Thompson is still on the Cavs. Madeline and Charlotte end by talking about how Jaylen Brown wants to meet Bill Nye (who doesn’t?). This is a public episode. Madeline and Charlotte start off this week’s episode of The Sports Gossip Show with an update about Love Is Blind and the Washington Wizards. Then, it’s time to talk about tennis player Taylor Fritz’s new hairdo à la Joe Burrow — is bleaching your hair the athlete equivalent of getting bangs? WNBA MVP Aja Wilson and NBA player Bam Adebayo finally showed up together in public at Dwyane Wade’s statue unveiling at the Miami Heat arena. Wade’s statue looks funky but he defended it, and the gals have some questions. Aaron Rodgers update: He’s learned some new big words, and he’s talking about the darkness. Also, Madeline tells Charlotte that the Jets former coach is now working for the Green Bay Packers, Aaron’s old team. And then, the biggest news of the week: SUPERMODEL GISELE BÜNDCHEN (TOM BRADY’S EX) IS PREGNANT WITH HER JIU-JITSU INSTRUCTOR’S BABY! In fairness, they’re dating. Madeline and Charlotte give the background of Gisele and Tom Brady’s divorce and their life together in Boston. Tom Brady then posted an Instagram story of a beautiful landscape with Fleetwood Mac lyrics accompanying it — was he wishing her well? The Sports Gossip Show also receives its first “no comment” ever. Then, to round out the show, Madeline and Charlotte tell everybody to vote. Then, Charlotte tells a story about Knicks and Madison Square Garden owner James Dolan, and Madeline wonders why the Democrats chose Milwaukee coach Doc Rivers to close out the election cycle, given that he has a record of blowing 3-1 leads in the playoffs. This is a public episode. In this week’s episode of The Sports Gossip Show, Madeline describes the excitement of watching the NY Liberty win a championship, and Charlotte drops a fun fact about Liberty head coach Sandy Brondello. Somehow the gals end up talking about falling asleep at a NASCAR race before moving on to the damning evidence that Bill Belichick’s 23-year-old girlfriend is running his Instagram account. But it doesn’t stop there — the two detectives piece together what this could have to do with Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders.Matthew McConaughey put out a super weird statement directed at Texas fans for throwing water bottles onto the field. The former Bears quarterback and ex-husband of reality show celeb Kristin Cavallari, Jay Cutler, got arrested for a DUI and gun possession — and the Daily Mail had an incredible headline for it.Then it’s time to dig into the NBA’s opening night! Charlotte is in Boston for Celtics-Knicks opening night, so Madeline and Charlotte share a few Knicks-centric updates (Jalen Brunson went to Lucali) before examining a shirtless video addressed to the rapper 50 Cent that Pacers star Tyrese Halliburton filmed at 4 am with three ladies. It turns out that Charlotte is 76ers veteran Kyle Lowry, and Madeline is the young, tech-savvy rookie Jared McCain. Bronny will make his debut with his dad on Tuesday, and another famous sports father-son duo will be in attendance.Madeline and Charlotte dissect Alix Earle’s latest video about her boyfriend Braxton Berrios’ torn ACL. In this episode of The Sports Gossip Show, Madeline and Charlotte dive into it all, starting with Kevin Durant’s latest adventure on Twitter, and how it had to do with…the Merriam-Webster Dictionary? Also, why was Vogue/Condé Nast czar Anna Wintour at the Bengals game in Joe Burrow’s suite? Is this a Met gala preview? The Jets are an even bigger disaster than they were last week, so the gals talk about why owner Woody Johnson fired former head coach Robert Saleh, and what it could’ve had to do with London and Aaron Rodgers. Then, obviously, it’s Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce time, because they were at the Yankees-Guardians game the other night. Was Travis man-splaining, and is that actually good? Also, there’s a new restaurant Taylor and Travis keep going to, and The Sports Gossip Show is going to need to do a review.Does Shohei Ohtani know who Rob Lowe is? Do Madeline and Charlotte know who Rob Lowe is? Karl-Anthony Towns (KAT-dawg) got a few new nicknames, and former Knick Donte Divincenzo got into a fight on the court with his best friend’s dad. Madeline and Charlotte make a quick pit stop to talk about the latest Formula 1 love triangle, then move onto pole vaulter Mondo Duplantis’ recent engagement…which also has to do with Anna Wintour??? We also cover the recent huge trade in the NBA that broke up the ‘Nova Knicks, and dive into how KAT is a lazy nickname for Karl-Anthony Towns — but his girlfriend, Jordyn Woods, will probably be a lot happier in New York.
