The defendant says she and the plaintiff had a deal — use of her semi-retired horse in exchange for free boarding for her other horse. She claims he was abusing the older horse, so she rescued her. She’s countersuing for money she’s now out. Then, the plaintiff says he hired the defendant to do some minor engine work, but the man ended up destroying it. He’s suing for the amount it will cost him to get a new motor. The defendant says he worked on the engine and told the plaintiff there was an issue because it had 300,000 miles on it.
