Description: The plaintiff says he parked on the street in New York City and got two tickets. Two days later, the defendant towed the car and said the cops told him to. The plaintiff claims he called police and he wasn’t on the tow list, so he’s suing for the cost of the tow and missed work. The defendant says the plaintiff sells cars with bogus plates and then disappears, so the police keep their eyes out and told him to tow it. He’s countersuing for lost wages. The plaintiff says the defendant is her son, and she loaned him money. Now she can’t get him to pay her back, and he even blocked her phone number. She’s suing for every penny he owes her. The defendant says his mother abandoned him at 3 and they only reconnected much later. He claims he took care of her and bought groceries, and she’s taking advantage of him. The plaintiff says she hired the defendant to replace a slab of concrete by her garage, and it began cracking just a few months later. She’s sure he used a bad batch of concrete, and she’s suing for her money back. The defendant says he doesn’t make the concrete — he just installs it.
