The defendant doesn’t think she owes him because she didn’t break her phone. Plus, the plaintiff had a service contract for oil with the defendant’s company to clean her heater. She says she stopped using the defendant’s company because she found a less expensive product elsewhere. She says the defendant kept cleaning her heater and she tried to cancel the contract, but he refuses to refund her money. The defendant argues the customer is required to buy oil from his company, but she hadn’t in years, so he canceled her contract. Plus, the plaintiff hired the defendant and loaned him money to maintain his credit. He says the defendant never paid him back, so he’s suing. The defendant argues the plaintiff tried to steal his paycheck and he never borrowed money in the first place. He doesn’t think he owes anything.
