Then, the plaintiff says she’s a single mom of six kids under 12, and she bought a used car from the defendant, but he scammed her. She claims the vehicle had a faulty transmission, so she’s suing for a refund. The defendant says the car was in good shape, and he has no intention of giving her a refund. Plus, the plaintiff says she loaned the defendant her boat, but he failed to secure it to his dock and it disappeared. She says he promised he would take good care of it but obviously didn’t, so she’s suing for its value. The defendant says the plaintiff stored her boat at his dock and it got stolen.
