Podcast:The People’s Court Podcast Published On: Thu Aug 10 2023 Description: The plaintiffs say they hired the defendant’s company to provide a limo on their wedding day, but the driver didn’t show up on time. They had to pile into the pastor’s van and were extremely late to their own reception. They’re suing for all they’re out. The defendant admits his driver was late and says he already refunded the plaintiffs’ money. He says he was even going to add another $1,000, but then they began threatening to ruin his reputation on social media. Then, the plaintiff says the defendant is her uncle, who she says agreed to take over payments on a car in her name. She says he stopped paying after he took possession of the car, so she had to fork over the money and cover the storage. She’s suing for the money she’s owed. The defendant say the car was in poor condition, needed repairs, and was a month behind in payments, so he denies owing anything. Plus, the plaintiff says the defendant collected child-support payments and pocketed them even though the child in question was in jail. He claims he was scammed, so he’s suing for the money back. The defendant says the plaintiff is a liar and a horrible man, and she says the court ordered him to make the payments. Don’t forget to rate and subscribe so you never miss an episode.
