The defendant claims the plaintiff caused a fire, and when she was put up in a hotel, her belongings were stolen by someone else. The defendant believes the plaintiff is suing him as retaliation because he’s evicting her. Plus, the plaintiff claims the defendant got into a car crash, ran into a fence, and knocked it over. The fence fell on the plaintiff’s parked car, destroying it, so the plaintiff is suing for the damages. The defendant alleges his gas pedal got stuck in place, and he’s just lucky to be alive.
