The defendant says the plaintiff was taking pictures of her female employees, making them uncomfortable, so she called the police. He came back another day, so he was arrested. She followed corporate procedures and owes this man nothing. Then, the plaintiff says she hired the defendant to cater her daughter’s sweet 16 party, which ended up being canceled because of COVID-19. The defendant won’t issue a refund, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant says he’s happy to reschedule the event, but deposits are nonrefundable.
