She asked for time to move out, but the defendant flooded the place, so she’s suing. The defendant says he gave the plaintiff 30 days and she didn’t comply. A pipe broke, causing the flood, so he had to evict her. The plaintiff says the defendant picked up her neighbor’s daughter and slammed her into the hood of the plaintiff’s car, denting it. The defendant won’t pay, so she’s suing her for the repair costs. The defendant says she was playing with a neighborhood kid when the damage happened, and they offered to cover some of the costs, but the plaintiff upped the amount. The plaintiff says he and the defendant were friends in high school, and they reconnected 30 years later. The defendant hired him for some contract paint work but then fired him without paying for the 50 hours he put in, so he’s suing. The defendant says the customer was unhappy with the plaintiff’s paint job, so he had to send other workers in to fix it. He’s countersuing for those costs.
