Description: First, the plaintiff alleges she put down a deposit to purchase a car from the defendants. However, the defendants ignored the plaintiff, so she is suing for a refund. The defendants argue the plaintiff never paid off the car in full and didn't pick it up. Then, the plaintiff hired the defendant to paint his house and gave him a deposit. Unfortunately, the defendant never showed up, so the plaintiff is suing for a refund. The defendant argues his truck was stolen, so he missed the day he was set to begin the job. The defendant had every intention of doing the job and explained the situation to the plaintiff. Plus, the plaintiffs say they purchased a house from the defendant, but he owed unpaid taxes. The plaintiffs went ahead and paid the taxes, but the defendant never reimbursed them, so they're suing. The defendant insists there were no taxes due on the house.
