Podcast:The People’s Court Podcast Published On: Fri Dec 01 2023 Description: The plaintiff rented a house from the defendants, and she claims they vandalized her pontoon boat out of spite. The plaintiff says she also suffered from mold poisoning, so she’s suing for a refund on rent. The defendants insist the plaintiff caused the mold problem due to her messy demeanor, and they say her pontoon boat was already falling apart. Then, the plaintiff put down a deposit for a car at the defendant’s dealership. When the plaintiff asked for the deposit back, the defendant refused, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant says the plaintiff had to wait for his employer to verify his employment on the credit application, and when that happened, he wanted his deposit back. The defendant put in a lot of time and work for the plaintiff, and she feels she is entitled to his deposit. Plus, the plaintiff rented an apartment from the defendant. He claims the defendant illegally locked the plaintiff out and threw away his belongings, so the plaintiff is suing. The defendant denies owing the plaintiff a dime because he says the plaintiff didn’t clear out the apartment on the eviction date, and he left the place a mess. The defendant is countersuing for cleaning costs, repairs, and appliances. Don’t forget to rate and subscribe so you never miss an episode. Learn more about your ad choices.
