Description: The plaintiff claims her loud and obnoxious neighbor is always slamming things against their common wall and playing loud music, and it’s driving her crazy. One day, he slammed something against the wall so hard it caused her mirror to fall. Now she’s suing the defendant for the damages. The defendant says his neighbor of 20 years has been complaining about him since day one, and he’s a great neighbor. He is countersuing the plaintiff for harassment and missed work. Then, the plaintiff says she hired the defendant to paint her house. She paid him, but then he took off without finishing the job. Her house is now two colors, so she’s suing him for the value of the unfinished side of the house. The defendant argues that the only work that’s unfinished is a windowsill he can only access by getting inside the home, but he says she refuses to let him in and is making this all up. Plus, the plaintiff claims she hired the defendant to do plumbing work for a building she owns. The defendant did some of the work, and the plaintiff says she paid him in full, but now he won’t return to finish the job. Now she’s suing him for a full refund. The defendant argues that he did all the work he was hired for on one job but wasn’t paid for it, so he won’t complete the second job until he’s paid in full. The defendant is countersuing the plaintiff for the unpaid work. Don’t forget to rate and subscribe so you never miss an episode. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
