Then, the plaintiff says the defendant is his ex-girlfriend. He claims she borrowed money to help out a “friend,” and when he tried to collect repayment, she ignored him. He’s suing to get his money back. The defendant says she met the plaintiff in the taxi he drove, and he showered her with gifts even though they weren’t sexually involved. She denies owing anything.
