It is time to just take a vacation! We all need downtime. Don’t wait, plan the vacation now! Ask your friends and family where they like to go, especially for family vacations. Everyone likes something different; it is good to ask questions. Compromise! Location, travel mode, activities- include everyone in the decision-making. Think about what everyone wants to do. Do you want an active vacation? Do you want to laze around by the pool? Don’t forget to take sun breaks. Sunburn and fatigue are no fun for anyone. Don’t overschedule- make sure to allow for some downtime! Think about how warm or cold it is going to be. What are your kids’ temperature limits? Take notes! If you plan to return, jot down things you want to do next time. What worked? What didn’t? Memories are more important than things. Take the vacation!
