Description: Today we are talking about oral health. Why? Because our oral microbiome and oral health directly impacts what's going on in the rest of your body. We've always been so reactionary in the past with just trying to manage the symptoms and treat the symptoms, but not really understanding, why it's happening. It turns out that it has a lot more to do with the bacteria living in your mouth, and the westernized diet that we call the SAD diet, the Standard American Diet, which is very high in processed sugars, grains, and things like that. My Guest on Todays Episode is Danny Grannick Danny started an oral microbiome company called Bristle. They will test your oral microbiome and tell you if you have the wrong bacteria living in your mouth. I'm really excited about this because many of the patients that I see inevitably have gut issues. Oftentimes, what's living in our mouths is impacting our gut microbiome, which is impacting our health systemically. Danny was then recruited by Oxford Nanopore to lead sales and business development for Northern Carroll, California in strategic accounts. His passion is in bridging the gap between innovation and implementation.
