This episode is taking you through the foundation of your identity in these moments and to be mindful of the "IF" that limits you in the hard moments. Your entire internal atmosphere changes when you move like God is watching you. Suddenly there's peace and surrender in the places you wrestled with perfection, people pleasing and approval of others. Imagine you're in the room with your close family and friends and "everyone else's" kids were playing, using manners and doing the "right" behavior for the room. Then you hear your child screaming, pushing a cousin over and saying "no" to grandma. Oh, boy... what happens IN YOU next?Well, that depends on what your focus is on. "What does Jesus think of how I handle this?""What does (friend, family, stranger) think of how I handle this?"With a mind set on Jesus you experience peace and a guided hand to help you through. With a mind set on man you experience pressure- perfect, perform and please. Which do you want and which do you have? Let's make forward progress here, together.
I used to see "God-fearing" often referenced, especially in 2020 during heightened fear and stress in the world, and I'd wonder "why would you want to believe in a God you feel afraid of?"Little did I know, that's a beautiful thing. Years later I'm here to share why "God-fearing" is a power word for me and what you can do to rise above the focus of man and the fears of the world. Teaching regulation to my children feels incredibly difficult at times. It challenges me, stretches my patience and requires more attention than I knew I had to give. AND, seeing them take deep breaths when they feel upset, guide their brother to breathe and start doing 20 burpees without me even asking- IS WELL WORTH IT. Today I'm sharing what has worked exceptionally well in my home with high energy big feeling boys, which is BURPEES. I'm breaking down why I diligently emphasize regulation, what we do and how you can incorporate a plan like this, too. Side note: Christmas is coming quick. There are times in life we hear one little line that changes the trajectory for us. I was attending a funeral while six months pregnant with my first son when one little line did that for me. I hope this episode gives you hope and encouragement to bring more positive communication into your home and daily life. Even if you've said "no" right in line with the average of 400 times a day that children hear it. Even if you grew up with negative communication being the norm. You get to decide what you do next, my friend. I've been told "delayed obedience is disobedience" like it's a favorite line from a popular song since posting this reel.It got me thinking about the rush and urgency parents put themselves and their children in. It's certainly a catchy line and I can confidently say it is not biblical.Come explore where I have found the Bible praises pause, what could have gone differently and what Jesus would possibly do in our shoes. I believe teaching our children to exercise discernment, regulate emotions, pray for clarity and ask question IS our job. We are not here to rush our kids along to fit into the status quo and ensure they respect authority... a delay can be a very, very good thing.Good news, my Yes Language Course is now available for you to drastically reduce the times you say "no" and become a clear and kind communicator! It's 21 days long and incredibly effective to teach you with bite sized lessons and implementation! It's $50 off until 11/1/2025
This is a topic I have strong personal conviction and passion on and I'm sure you will feel that in this episode. After receiving criticism about a reel I made on IG that involved me waiting 90 seconds for my son to make the right choice and sharing that it takes 90 seconds to properly feel an emotion, I decided this podcast episode is the best way to respond. Discipline, boundaries and expectations are powerful in our parenting and they are a foundation for our kids to thrive. We can use each of those tools effectively, arguably more effectively, when we use them with kindness, calm authority and self-discipline. This episode has four key points in the heart of a disciple of Jesus Christ that is using discipline in parenting. I strive to be a loyal disciple of Jesus Christ and that means doing what is right even when it is hard and committing to parenting with faith over fear. All of the "what if..." theories thrown by others are fear based and I have resounding faith in following Jesus today in my parenting is the best possible outcome for our future.
Well, wouldn't you know it that the Bible is in full support of Yes Language?! Let's go through some scripture together and see where the meaning connects to our home life. Here are the links to Bibles I mentioned for any other beginners out there that want to start reading truth!Jesus Story Book Bible (I LOVE this one with my kids)Hosanna Revival NLT Bible (My first Bible I read for two years and appreciated the easy to understand language!)Study Bible ESV (My new Bible I am loving. The language is the right amount of challenge for me right now. I can still understand what it is saying and it reflects more of the traditional writings.)
I am steadfast here, friends. I've seen the truth in my own home and beyond play out time and time again. We need more positive minds, hearts and WORDS filling our homes if we want a better world. Being a Yes Mom is a standard of excellence and while it can feel difficult to fulfill and meet- it is rewarding to strive towards. I hope this encouragement reaches you warmly and with vigor. All my love, Tessa Romero
I've been sharing a lot of the Yes Language I use with my kids and a top question I receive regularly is "does your husband do this too?!" Well- let's ask my sweet hubs if he uses it and what his take is on this communication style with our kids. We are two parents doing the best we can- just like you! This is what we have found works really well for us to feel our best as the parents we want to be. Truly love how open Marcus is and my goal is that you feel encouraged to start using Yes Language no matter who is or is not using it, too. I've crafted out an entire Yes Mom Campus inside of my coaching membership. It's 21 lessons to teach you how to love what you say and how you say it- saving yourself time and energy. Exciting News: I am making a 100 day marriage journal! Yes, husband AND wife journals that build a positive and appreciative mindset in marriage- leaving behind resentment, negativity and victim mentality. Today as I worked on another round of edits (committed to the strength of each prompt and exercise) I felt stuck, so I called my husband into the office and asked for his feedback. Well, it was a GOOD TIME. Tons of laughs and true understanding about the different way we think. That's when I turned on the mic and hit record. Come share some laughs, insights and appreciation with us as we pour our love over the marriage journals in the making. These journals means so much to me as I started implementing this writing practice in my marriage 18 months ago- now I'm putting the practice in your hands.
There are times that being kind, sincere, patient and truthful feel PHYSICALLY painful. As if a bone in your body may break if you say something kind when you feel angry. What if yelling, perfectionism, people pleasing, lying, criticizing, shaming... could all be sanding off of you? This perspective of "sanding your down" will completely transform the pain of that moment to an incredibly purposeful healing experience for you. This will increase your patience, courage and discipline to do what is right even when it is hard. Here is the link to If Only I Had A Green Nose that I LOVE. Every book in this series is incredible. Are you rushing through the day just trying to get the "to-do" list checked off and get to bed "on time"? You're probably feeling disconnected, unavailable and resentful in the process.I understand this to my core. Which is how and why I came up with my new life mantra "Hands like Martha, Heart like Mary" to help me remain available to the Lord and my family, while also serving in ways that light me up. This small shift in perspective has delivered the most wonderful results as I've been able to see how I can have BOTH. I know that you can, too. The power is in what we choose to think. I hope this one slips right in to your heart and your mind gives up the idea of your value being tied to your productivity. I adore you, I really do. My workouts continue to look different and feel better over the years. I believe that is because I stay focused on what I want and OPEN to all the ways that can happen. It's a journey over the last 10 years and I hope it inspires you to know what you want and WHY you want it. Need clips of positivity? Follow along on Instagram!
Giving less than your best is a betrayal to yourself. Yet, with perfectionism and the bags of tendencies that come with it, there seems to be an unspoken fear of striving for excellence and doing all that you can every single day. You'll be told "that's too much." "you shouldn't expect so much from yourself." "it's not realistic." Even if you enjoy waking up to a clean kitchen that reminds you of fresh starts and new days... someone will tell you that the pressure to clean it every night before bed is just too much. This is why understanding the difference between a mentality of Excellence and a mentality of Perfection will set you free. This episode takes a look at why we use perfectionism, how you can practically condition your mind out of it and what it looks like to strive for excellence AND fall short. I hope you enjoy it! Details for my coaching membership where this episode was inspired are right here. Huge thanks to Danielle for being a light and someone we can learn alongside. Tessa Romero

Choose quiet observations and follow it with quick, intentional corrections.A few years ago, I realized that explaining every decision to my kids—why they couldn’t have something, what I didn’t like about their behavior—only made things worse. It fueled conflict, invited pushback, and exhausted me emotionally. So I made a change.I started quietly noticing the behavior, keeping my thoughts to myself, and then making a swift correction without fanfare. Whether it was about food dyes, screen time, or behavior after movies, this shift brought peace to our home and confidence to my parenting. You'll want to get a pen and piece of paper ready for the writing exercise in the last part of this episode. It will help you experience a huge shift in mindset and self-empowerment! More details on my coaching membership are right here. I'm excited to hear about your implementation of "quiet observations and quick corrections" to your daily parenting triumphs!

It's interesting that moms are being told how good and admirable it is to ask for help, then in the same breath we are told not to help our kids when they ask for it. "They're old enough to do it themselves." "They're big enough to do it themselves." "That's not mine, they should do it.""If I don't do it no one else will." I'm big enough, old enough and perfectly capable of simple tasks and sometimes those are the ones I feel are too big when I have so much else going on. I want my kids to know they can always ask for my help. Even when it's a problem or task to face on their own, I'll be there with them as a listening ear and word of guidance. Why would my kids ask for help with the big stuff if I instilled a "do it yourself" belief with the small stuff? This is my perspective that nurtures my willingness to serve seamlessly, say "yes" to helping and instilling lifelong beliefs. This is the Instagram reel I mentioned in the episode. How long would it take you to write out a list of allll the things you tell yourself you can't do?While some people want to fight to defend this "I can't" mentality so they can feel justified, YOU and I are ready to fight for that fire inside of us that knows WE CAN. This episode walks you through why it can feel so frustrating and freeing to say "I can, I just don't want to." What is the truth we can find when we shift our perspective this way and how to keep your feet on the ground through it all. I did a little IG reel on this! Be sure to do the writing exercise I described in this episode so you can become empowered to face the heart of the "I can't" mentality. I'm cheering you on, always. Remember, I have lots of negative thoughts and poor moments, too. I just really enjoy learning from them and challenging myself to do better with you.

In this episode, we’re diving into a powerful practice: writing a letter to your future self to read at the end of 2025. This is your chance to put into words who you want to become—before it even happens. This will give you direction and intention for the entire year to come. Creating a clear vision for yourself activates the brain’s Reticular Activating System (RAS), which helps you focus on opportunities and actions aligned with your goals. When you know what you want, your mind naturally works to make it happen. The real trick is to actually know what you want and that is where a lot of women struggle. We’ll guide you through: ✨ Envisioning the person you want to be and the life you want to create in 2025. ✨ Writing about your personal, professional, physical, and spiritual growth. ✨ Reflecting on how it feels to live as the version of yourself you’ve always dreamed of becoming. ✨ Setting your intentions and grounding them in gratitude for the journey ahead. Start your letter with “Dear [Your Name]” and let your vision for the year come alive on the page. This is more than just a letter—it’s your declaration of what’s possible for you in the year ahead. Let’s create a 2025 worth celebrating. 💖 p.s. My NEW Coaching Membership launches on our own app the MOMSET Community on January 7th. When you choose to view all that is happening as something that you need, you start learning A LOT very quickly. I completely thought I was in labor and called our family 2.5 hours away so they could be there for it, only to have every contraction stop by 11:00 pm! I felt so disappointed and like I had let everyone down or wasted their time... which is NOT how I want to spend the last bit of my pregnancy. Fortunately, I have more tools and landed on three refreshing perspectives that lifted me up by the very next morning. I'm opening up and sharing those with you here so that people pleasing tendencies are something you can actively work on overcoming too! Let's stay connected on Instagram and start your journaling practice with me following my proven method!
You're feeling tired, hormonal, uncomfortable and excited. There's a lot going on during the last bit of pregnancy before welcoming your baby! Let's make sure your mindset is in a strong place to be of service to you and your family! This one question will invite a whole new perspective into the mix that increases your intentionality and accountability- even in the last bit of pregnancy! Let's connect on Instagram :) Completely overhaul your mindset in motherhood here.
I don't want my first thoughts to be negative and swimming in the "happening to me..." mentality. Yet, sometimes they are. Here's a question I ask myself that lifts me up and out of that victim mentality and sets me on the high road of being who I WANT to be, no matter where I go or who I am with. This one might feel challenging to take in so know 1. I LOVE YOU and all people in your life and mine. 2. We are meant to be challenged. 3. If it feels hard it's probably because you need to do it. Give this a try and reach out to us at connect@momset.com for personal coaching options and episode requests! Tessa ✨
It seems a bit odd to me that when I share about serving seamlessly, the biggest objections that come up against it are fear based thoughts around "doing too much." Doing too much for our kids, spouse and others. Seamless service is not about doing everything for someone else. It is taking opportunities to serve others well when and how you can. To see a need and fill it with the same attitude you want your kids to have when they see a need to fill. We need the right attitude married to our behaviors! Enjoy this episode to nudge your perspective into new open territory that breathes life and change into your attitude. For additional resources, start the 24 Days To A Renewed Mind video coaching guide I created for YOU to have a better overall mindset as you begin this work with me. All my best, Tessa Romero
How will I get my kids to listen. How will I get them to get along with each other. How will they be okay in the world we have today? How will I know I did right by them? Trying to control "how" and "when" will leave you swimming against a raging current of negative thoughts. It's completely hopeless and exhausting. Today we are unpacking the faithful thought "Trust that it will rain." As well as what it would look like as a journaling prompt with several examples. Truly, this fresh perspective has been shedding layers of fear and anxiety for me and I know this sweet relief is too good to keep to myself. Let me know where you're at and what you need so I can create episodes just for YOU. Reach out with what you'd love to hear next at connect@momset.com You're a treasure in my life, Tessa Romero

On a recent family trip I got to take the role of "that mom" on an airplane. The one that holds a screaming baby while battling the negative thoughts in her head, swimming in the victim mentality and even making a snarky comment to her husband. That was me AND I didn't let it end there. I'm sharing the mindset I used to practically realize where my thoughts were at and what I needed to do instead so I could be who I want to be no matter where I am or who I am with. This is completely possible for you, too! If you're noticing a lot of negative thoughts in your mind then you need to use Alignment Journaling to set them straight on a proactive and consistent basis!
Have you ever had a "I'm going to spray him with the hose! That'll teach him..." kind of moment where you feel so, so frustrated at the choice your child made and the reaction is to do something that could be pretty mean?! I have, that's what I'm sharing here today. The mean and negative thoughts that swirled my mind. The complete urge to grab my son and spray him down. The clear display of anger on my face. All of that going on and what I chose to do instead that I hope plants a seed in your mind and more hope in your heart for what is possible for YOU and YOUR motherhood. This is good work we are doing. If you need MORE help getting your mindset into a place that can slow the moments down and see your actions aligned with the mother you want to be, then you need to journal. Use the Alignment Journaling Course to start a daily 5 minute practice that equips you to do better than before. All my best, Tessa Romero
"How do you have a strong mindset on Mother's Day when _____?" I asked this question to my community and the answers came flooding in ranging from "it's just like every other day" to "you still do everything you normally do" and "my MIL makes it all about her." I've got your back annnd your mind with these 3 key steps that will be a game changer for you! Well, it's really 4 steps because we needed to lay a good foundation first! Take in this episode and get your very special Mother's Day ready to be unforgettable and truly restorative for you and your sweet family! I'm cheering you on today and everyday. Tessa Romero

My youngest son recently burnt his hand to the point of second degree burns covering his palms and fingertips, and I immediately knew it was something I could have prevented. The mom guilt was intense and the night was long for us. I'm sharing the story here in the hopes of helping you navigate mom guilt that comes in recognizing our part and how to learn lessons that make you BETTER and allow the feeling of guilt to pass in it's good time. It is a SPECIAL time to have our first podcast guest on the show! Ashley Emerick has been in my courses and shares her incredible work into transformation over the past 15 months. I know her story will instill hope that this is all possible for you, too. We then dive deeper into the meaning and perspective of having all that we need and how we, as mothers, can see that through with a better vision and devotion to what is meant for us. I'm looking forward to sharing more of the incredible people and influences in my life with you. Thank you for growing with me in all areas. I appreciate you! My boys got into a heated fight while playing together and in my best efforts to help them create space from one another, I was met with "NO!!" I, personally, choose to keep my expectations very clear and focus on saying what I mean and meaning what I say. Hearing "no" in response does not deter me. HOOOOOW?! You're told "no"... now what? How do we keep the calm? How do we stay patient?! How do we stay the course?! I've got this episode loaded up and ready to teach you just that so you can be the calm, steady, constant. Setting the tone of your family and keeping your mind still. I'm constantly sharing mindset like this over on my Instagram if you'd like more daily examples and encouragement. I'll say it once and every day after, START WRITING. Your mind is desperate for some exercise and I have just what you need in the Alignment Journaling Course.
It's episode ONE HUNDRED and time to share the whole dang story of how I got started in this work and three key pieces of encouragement for YOU. Thank you for being here! xoxo Tessa Romero p.s. You better believe I journaled SO MUCH about each step and the vision I've held on to using Alignment Journaling. I'd love to teach you how to do that, too!
Man, the feeling of the "ah-ha" that comes when you uncover a harmful belief you've had for over 20 years is quite astounding. Let's call my weekend astounding then! I'm opening up about the hardship of my weekend, what was uncovered and how I decided to rise above it by BEING REBELLIOUS in the face of it. You'll learn what it means to be rebellious, where your beliefs are coming from and more of what to do when you catch a harmful one. Journaling is an incredible way to rewrite the story of your beliefs and grow into someone new- that you WANT to be! You can have me coach you through my Alignment Journaling technique now!
You've been working really hard to pull yourself up and out of the victim mentality. Catching yourself in the "happening to me" shenanigans and steering clear of complaining the best you can. Goodness, I am completely thrilled to be expecting our fourth baby this July and grateful to be sharing the news with you today! This episode includes some personal details of my pregnancy that I haven't shared yet, as well as three key perspectives that help me so much during pregnancy as a good frame of mind to keep myself in. I hope this serves you and please remember that wherever you are in your motherhood, the miracle of pregnancy is not lost on me. You can visit the pregnancy symptoms highlight I mentioned on my Instagram account that has more actionable recommendations of what helps me during pregnancy! This is Beehive meals that I mentioned for easy dinners that taste delicious and keep great in the freezer for those extra tired days! I highly recommend them for your family or a gift to someone!
Oh man, does reading that title fire something up in you?! Well, if you take the time to allow this perspective to be delivered to you throughout this episode, there's a very high chance that you will receive it and the benefits that it can give you. Come in here with an open mind and know that there's a very good chance that your mind is choosing to believe something harmful about daily circumstances that actually makes them harder on you instead of easier. This mentality I shared here is about bringing more ease and acceptance to your circumstances so you can see the purpose that is there and utilize what you are given AS something you did need. You can join me in the Alignment Journaling Course to build a daily writing practice that actually serves you in your growth! You really can do this and I know that with my whole heart, Tessa Romero
Motherhood, marriage and liiife are constantly giving us the opportunity to think greater and develop new ways to help ourselves be who we want to be through it all. That's what mindset work is to me. This constant focus and unraveling of who I am and what she thinks. This new tool is one that graciously found it's way to me in the middle of a hard moment with my kiddos and goodness I have used it almost daily since then. Put this into practice and remember that the best way to change your mindset is not picking out all of the negativity, it's flushing out the negativity with a whole new perspective! I adore you and love that we get to do this together. I'll see you in the Alignment Journaling Course for more "flushing out the negativity" as we have our Marriage topic this February!
You know how when you leave a dark movie theater and walk back out into the sun it can really sting your eyes? There's an adjustment period when going from darkness to light and that may be what you're experiencing right now in your growth! This episode will encourage you to stay the course as you continue making good decisions and persevere through the discomfort that comes as you adjust. You CAN be who you want to be and we can do it together. The REVIVE Retreat enrollment closes on January 31, 2024 for our February 21-25, 2024 retreat. Find the details here!
I love this community and this episode was directly requested by a fellow member in our MOMSET Tribe. She said "I wanted to make a podcast suggestion in case there are other moms like me feeling this. I love allll the podcasts but I constantly have this underlying anxiety feeling of "agh, it's too late. I've messed this up for my kids so much their whole childhood, If I only found Tessa years ago... I wish I could just start over." I am here to reassure you that none of us are alone and the anxious feelings of "too late to change" are coming from the thoughts associated with it. This episode is ready to give you four helpful perspectives that can uproot the belief system around change and get you grounded in new empowerment that fires you up. You can change now and it matters! If you need a real fresh start and to smack the reset button of your life so you can hold yourself to a new vision of who you are and what you decide to create, come to my REVIVE Retreat. This is the last retreat for close to two years and we are letting it ALL out at this one- nothing to hold back! Enrollment closes January 31, 2024 Let's get to work, Tessa Romero
I love it when I have a story to share of a recent experience and that is just what I have in store for you today. My husband baked my sourdough starter (that I have tenderly babied for a month to get going) to 300 degrees ... wowza. Now, I could have harshly reacted and expressed disappointment on to him and justified every second of my behavior, and I didn't. What if we didn't do what we could justify, and instead chose to do what could lead to better interactions and truly teaching others how to treat us through the way we treat them? Ironically, I did the same thing to my sourdough starter the very next day and that is when the power of my chosen response really clicked for me. Listen along and reflect on where and how you'd like to intentionally shift your chosen responses. The REVIVE Retreat enrollment closes on January 31 and this is my LAST self-discovery and healing retreat for close to two years. Get yourself to this transformative event with us. I am in your corner and cheering you on like a proud mama! Tessa Romero
Happiest New Year of all time to YOU and cheer to us taking 2024 on with a clear focus on what we do want. Well, almost. First you need to do this writing exercise with me to make sure that happens. It is natural for your mind to get looped up in negative thinking and even though it is natural, it is NOT where you belong. You can catch that you're there and get yourself out of it by starting with this writing exercise. Grab a blank piece of paper and your favorite pen :) If you need some S E R I O U S focus on yourself to get your mindset at a 180 degree shift, cut ties with your past that has weighed you down, break past limitations you have put on yourself and finally release the stored emotions that have gone stale... come to my REVIVE Retreat! This is the only retreat I am hosting of 2024 and let me tell you, you will never be the same once you experience it. I know it's your turn to heal, you just have to get yourself there and I'll take care of the rest!
Really, the hardest part of doing self-discovery work is how painfully honest it requires you to be with yourself. Basically, if you aren't honest, you don't discover and you won't heal what you don't discovery. If you need a fresh, open, vulnerable and empowering community to up your accountability and a proven 12 week road map to get you in the "know how" then join my coaching program! Coaching your through Mind Body Alignment is an all time HIGH of my life because I've been there and I go to those places too. Now, when you're working on your triggers you are going to need a good shift. That is what I have in store for you on this episode. You can listen to the mom guilt episode here! I am wishing you all of the courage and inspiration you need to finally "do it" this New Years! Here's to a year we are choosing to make wonderful. I love you all BIG TIME! Tessa Romero
You've tried the black out curtain, sound machine, weighted blanket, reward, sleep consultant, prayer and routine and you kiddo is still an early morning riser. Well, same! I'd say you are in dang good company! My oldest is approaching 6 and quiet literally from the time he was born until now, he's been an early morning riser. I remember obsessing over our routine, his food, the schedule and feeling complete panic each day as I wearily awaited the outcome of my efforts to see what time he'd wake up. Back then it was between 4:00-5:00 am each day, and now he is a solid 5:45/6:00 am and I AM GRATEFUL. I've had my fair share of negative thoughts around this still and this past week I gained a new perspective on his early mornings that has me welcoming him into my routine to journal and workout with great JOY! It's like I finally "get it!!!" I want to share this perspective with you in the hopes that you start your day with peace, even if it's at 5:30 am with your little one. You can join me in my 12 weeks of coaching for New Years of 2024 by clicking HERE! I only coach through this incredible course twice a year and this is your chance! We go deep into self-discovery and healing work so you can retrain your mindset to know how freaking unstoppable and completely WHOLE you are. Enrollment closes December 23 and we are offfff on January 1!
This Thanksgiving I intentionally decided to do something I swore I'd never do and intentionally avoided at every opportunity for the last 11 years. I chose to see my previous step-dad. I shared the full story here. I want you to know that you are completely free to be who you want to be and take all of the purpose from your pain and every lesson from your experiences. You deserve real healing that is free from who other people choose to be or what they choose to do. You can join my New Years Group Coaching right here!! Hurry, it closes soon! REVIVE Retreat is ready to accelerate your healing and growth as you embrace safety in a community with our top coaches and beautiful environment.
"You shouldn't feel guilty for that..." Have you heard that little phrase being tossed around on social media or even in your friends circle? It's sounds pretty convincing right? Like we can just hype ourselves up and out of the feeling of guilt by chanting "I shouldn't feel guilty for this!!!" Only, that's not how feelings work and what does it do to tell ourselves we shouldn't feel any feeling? How do you feel when someone says "you shouldn't feel mad about that..." rather than seeking to understand why you feel mad about that? "you shouldn't feel excited about that..." rather than holding space for your excitement to grow? I am opening up my unpopular opinion on the feelings of guilt we experience as mothers to best help you know how to actually help yourself through it and receive the value that comes from your emotions. If you're feeling called to dive deep into this work with me through 12 weeks of coaching and come to my 5 day retreat, then click this link! We only have a handful of spots remaining for our intimate luxury retreat for mothers wanting to finally heal and grow.
I've worked with women that have felt crushed by the weight of a past experience for 55 years. It's my own experience to carry debilitating anger and use destructive tendencies to try and "keep myself safe" for over 12 years. I know it is not time that heals our wounds. You don't need to count that time that passes in anger and make sure that you've hated yourself for a certain amount of time first. No, there is a much better way. You can heal more in five days than most people hope to heal in five years, because it is YOU that heals the wounds. It is you that actively chooses who you are, what you want and what you are willing to do. Time is patient and gracious letting us choose how we use it and ensuring to pass at the same steadfast pace regardless. Be grateful for time and be the one that heals now. We have a limited amount of spots remaining for our only REVIVE Retreat of 2024! You can coach with us for 8 weeks leading up to the retreat and then another four weeks afterwards! Wednesday-Sunday in February, thats five days of revival, to come focus entirely on your release, regulation and transformative healing. It's time to set it all down in a space prepared to release the weight for you. Its time to heal!
Click here to learn about REVIVE and join us at the only retreat I am hosting for 2024! This luxury retreat is for women wanting to be taken care of while you get to the roots of the anger, hurt and negativity you have been carrying. Truly the safe space to put it all down, regulate with new tools and go back home completely unstoppable to create the life you LOVE now! Is it just me or does "service" get tangled up with some "woe is me" mentalities like it's a bad thing we do it? I get it. We, as moms and wives and sisters and daughters and neighbors and community leaders and employees and owners do A LOT. The idea of adding more to that would rightfully make us a little dizzy. I also see how much fulfillment service brings. I know the lightness that comes when you move through your day with seamless service rather than a competitive "tit for tat" tally score of who is doing more. You can do a whole lot AND feel free when your mind has a better focus that "of course I have to" and "it shouldn't be me." Seamless service is our nature, especially as women. It's time to come back to the warmth movement that comes when we lead with service and allow gratitude to fill our hearts and mind. You can have my oh so very free and inspiring 70 Acts of Seamless Service to get you started and have fun seeing all of the ways you can and already are serving seamlessly.
Holidays are in full swing and that means YOU need to get your identity and Mommy Vision on track to serve you because there is a high likelihood that something will feel difficult. Going to that persons house. The gifts or lack there of. Burning a dish or being responsible for all of the meals. Family conflict that may come up. Behavior firing off from different sources of stimulation & usually you've been caring for yourself with low quality. This episode will walk you through the common identity and narrative that comes around the holidays so you can be prepared to do different this year. Now we are focused on who we DO want to be. Focused on what we DO want to happen. What a freaking blessing to make this shift. Let's dive in! p.s. you're coming down to the wire on joining my 5 week group coaching experience through the NEW MOMMY Mindset Course that just released. I get it, I really do. It's fun to say catchy slogans and our mind loves a good rhyme and humor feels really good especially in the hard times. Even with all of that being true, there is also truth that some slogans and phrases and rhymes and humor- are bad for us. They feel good in the moment and then unintentionally work their way into our subconscious mind and change the focus of our lives and what we seem to be looking for each day. All of a sudden we feel angry and stuck. We start complaining more than before and losing our patience with our kids and spouse. Why? Unintentional programming with a mix of experiences and a pinch of influences. It all adds up and makes a big impact. This episode is unpacking "nap trapped" as a way to share perspective that makes a difference and the way you can keep what you love about catchy phrases while protecting your feelings of empowerment at the same time. You are a mommy and a difference maker by nature. The new MOMMY Mindset Course is coming so, so soon and it is designed to teach you practical mindset tools and skills that you can practice and sharpen EVERYDAY while finally feeling like the gentle, soft, empowered, cared for and remarkable mommy of your home. Thank you for being here and caring about words as much as I do. Thank you for bettering yourself with me so we can give our kids an incredible head start in life and loving relationships. Here's the Instagram MOMMY Mindset Course Tess Romero
You know when you have a full circle moment as a mother? It's the time that your kids are doing something that you did as a child and you are the one showing up as the mother now. Kinda trippy! I had this moment when my two older boys fell down while chasing waves and got all soaking wet, sandy and very upset. I wanted to share that moment in this episode and how I showed up for them in a different way than what I experienced as a child. You can change the way you respond in hard circumstances and have full circle moments in motherhood that truly heal your own childhood. You can do some visualization work in this episode and use the power of mental rehearsal to start getting there. I love you a whole bunch, Tessa Romero Come keep up with daily mindset work on Instagram Get involved in my courses, including the NEW 5 Week MOMMY Mindset Course opening November 1!

I have noticed a growing nagging narrative that mothers need to do less and this podcast episode is all about drive my pointed tip pen into that myth bubble. Just over it. The answer to feelings of exhaustion is not going to be doing things that leave you feeling exhausted, uninspired, unintentional, procrastinating, avoiding and numbing. If we want to grow the feeling of exhaustion into the feelings of fulfillment, creativity, enthusiasm and excitement, then we are going to be required to do MORE of what creates those things. That can look different for us, so let's dive into the episode! I also mentioned the workout app that I personally use and LOVE, is Mamele :) You can find the details here! Quick update: New brand will have an appearance soon! The new MOMMY Mindset Course will empower you to raise your words and teach you valuable tools that make it fulfilling to do so. That course will be coming in October! I love you dearly, Tessa Romero
It was midnight on the second full day of my REVIVE Retreat that I picked up my phone, opened Instagram and instantaneously felt a dip in my electric energy and a cloud in my mental clarity. I noticed this soft thought say "please don't make me open that" and put my phone back down. I am using this episode to unpack the experience I had and why I decided for the first time EVER to take a full 10 days off of social media and how much it has served me. I personally kept the apps on my phone and just committed to staying off of them. If the visual temptation is difficult for you or reactive out of habit, then you can delete the apps too. It's important to make a decision and commit to it AND honor what you truly want. There is so much goodness in your life right now and it is much easier to see it when you focus on it. You have so much patience within you right now and it is much easier to use it when you slow things down. I hope this episode encourages you to take a day away from social media. Just one day to get a taste and maybe you'll join me for a full 10 days in February 2024 when I do it again after my next REVIVE Retreat. We will be opening spots for the February REVIVE Retreat on November 1, 2023 and we keep a limit of 16 attendees to ensure this event remains intimate. Stay up to date on courses (new parenting mindset course coming sooooon), events and golden mindset goodness through email. I love you with my entirety, Tessa Romero
Have you ever felt persecuted at a doctors office because the physician does not agree with your life choices and priorities? How about feeling persecuted by a family member for the way you are choosing to raise your kids? Maybe you've felt persecuted by your spouse when you expressed an opinion or desire. The truth is, we are GOING to get persecuted in most every area of our life. The magic is in the way you handle it. Do you become aggressive? Do you hide your hurt? Do you "one up them?" My recent experience at a doctors office was exactly what I didn't know I needed (and certainly wouldn't have chosen for myself at the time) to help me step further into who I really am. A wonderful woman that can feel hurt and be kind. I can show my hurt, rather than hiding it and be human and be kind. It really was so healing for me to experience that hurtful moment AND claim my opportunity. I hope this episode inspires you to treat people differently, even if you are being persecuted. We have a new Mindset Course coming out in October that will help you surrender the negativity you have previously used so you can pick up the empowered tools that you need. I am so thrilled and want you to be the first to know when this powerful course is ready for you!! Click here to be the first to know!! From one mama to another, I get it. I get the tantrums, night time wake ups, craving a quiet moment to yourself and feeling overstimulated in the daily details. I also know that even with all of that, you want to BE the mama you envisioned yourself being. You want to see progress in the intentional direction of your choosing and feel proud of who you are. I have two steps to break down for you that will help you do that! Along with these two steps you will find what to avoid along the way and direct examples of what this looks like in action! I love that you are here and we get to do this work together, Let's get started! Tessa Romero Start journaling to calm your mind. Follow along on IG for daily examples and inspiration!
I feel so grateful to have friends in my life that share their unique and bold perspectives with me so that I may be blessed with them, too. That's what I want to share with you today, too. It can feel really hard to heal when life continues to look the same way and we continue to think the same way about our experiences. A friend of mine shared a bold perspective with me earlier this year and I believe it can help you make shifts like it did for me, too. Consider the writing exercise at the end of this episode because pen to paper is MAGIC for your mind. Love you dearly and thank you for being here!
If I were to ask a mother who she wants to be, I would likely hear "capable" in that statement somewhere. I have been coaching my sweet mama friends like you for five years now and it's clear as day why we'd want to feel capable. Life would be easier if we knew we were capable, right?! I am bringing a new perspective to the party on this, after a dear client of mine who we will call "sarah" shared this exact statement with us and we were able to unpack why it was hurting her progress so much and actually taking her AWAY from who she wanted to be. Mama, it's a beautiful thing to choose who you are and I want to help you live life like her because you deserve it. Deep breath and let's get started. p.s. I am bringing an excited change to the podcast soon and I didn't want episodes to pause in the process, so I removed the intro for now. Stay tuned!! Make sure you are growing your identity through daily writing using my proven alignment journaling method. Email connect@momset.com for coaching with Tessa and our powerful team of certified coaches in this work!
It's time we agreed on one thing, that we ARE influenced. Who you choose to allow into your head space will influence you for better or worse and the mind is such a fascinating place. The subconscious mind has no sense of humor so all of the "dark humor of motherhood" and little gabs at spouses and "jokes" about kids, are taken literally in your mind. I want you to intentionally choose who is in your mind. Are they living their rent free- taking up space without giving you anything in return? Clean up your influences today and see how your mind shifts! I've been working really hard on myself this year and I want you to have the same clarity and vision for your life to be beautiful, joyful and pleasant to be in mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually. Lets stay connected on IG so I can keep the mindset flowing your way! Put pen to paper before you join me back here next week! I'll teach you step by step how to journal for lasting change.
My sweet angel five year old boy is an early riser. Really, always has been and while I will say it is MUCH better than his 4:45 am wakings of his younger years, he still starts his day between 6:00 am and 6:30 am. Which is what it is as I have learned. Only, I used to think it's just who he is. He wakes up early because he is a morning person and I am grateful that Liam has taught me how to become a morning person, too. There was just a HUGE part of his morning wakings that I was oblivious to until a few days ago. Everything about his early mornings changed for me because of one simple shift in mindset. That is what I am sharing with you today :) You can grab your journaling course and join me in creating a BRIGHT, brilliant and loving mindset. You'll never regret time on the paper enriching your mind and I'll teach you step by step how to do it, as well as encourage you with prompts and examples every week because we are in this together. I love you with all I've got and I know the world needs our light and positivity NOW more than ever. Tessa Romero p.s. please pray, donate and support Lahaina, Maui in every way you can.
In my newbie beginner ways of doing life over here, I am thrilled to find little ways to continue to share with you and encourage you to BE A BEGINNER and embrace the "one step at a time" point in life. If you're in a place to change something in your life and work on yourself, (aren't we all???) then it is time to condition your mindset to support that. This episode is full of my favorite quote, a proverb I found and how we can choose the hard we are willing to experience and endure in life, with great purpose and fulfillment. Tessa Romero Remember to put pen to paper if you really want to change the way you think :) I can teach you how!
Okay, I love audio books a lot AND I'm noticing my love for them actually comes from a limiting belief that "I am a slow reader" and "I am not good at reading." So, here I am. Devoted to reading everyday instead of just listening on Audible. I finished two books in the last three weeks and I AM SO PROUD OF MYSELF!!! Which brings us to this episode! You've heard "if you don't use it, you lose it" in many examples. Think about it with muscles and playing an instrument. Muscles need to be used if you want them to stick around, and music skills need to be practiced to keep them. I was reading the book "Hunt, Gather, Parent" recently and there was a specific part that stood out to me about cultivating awe to help parents and children feel angry less often. Then it hit me... if I don't spend more intentional time creating good feelings of joy, gratitude, awe, love and excitement, then it would make sense that I would lose the ease of creating them. It makes sense why anger, frustration, irritability, shame and insecurity are so easy when we've been using them SO MUCH. I am unpacking this shift with you in the hopes that by the end of this episode, you are clear on what you'd like to lose and how you can begin doing so. Find the journaling course here if you'd like my help rewriting the story in your mind and increasing the ease of feeling GOOD! Remember, God loves you and you are already forgiven. It's okay to give yourself a fresh perspective and chance at life. With love, Tessa Romero
My coach, Natty, is a gift and the four questions she asked me as I sat puzzled with what my "next step should be" completely shifted my focus and perspective in one swift whirlwind. I am sharing these questions with you in the hopes that you use them to gain clarity and shift focus when and where it is needed in your life. My hope is that if you, like me, want to feel like someone that can talk to God like you hear other people do, you can. And you can use these four questions to get started. If you're interested in one on one coaching with me, please email me at info@bodybymommy.com with the subject "coaching" It feels messy sharing about my faith here and to be honest, I am learning so much and changing my mind in an ongoing way- which feels so freeing. You are loved. You are forgiven. You can move forward. Let's keep working on the story in your mind with good ol' fashioned pen to paper journaling. There's a reason that writing is so relieving and healing and I want you to know exactly how to do it! www.alignmentjouranling.com to learn with me.
In the oddest way imaginable, this is the hardest episode I have ever recorded and absolutely that I've ever shared with you. I have felt so ashamed to have a love for God and a relationship with Him, for the past five years, so I hid it from everyone. I hid it from you, my husband and my kids. My whole family and my clients and my courses and content. Yesterday I had the most profound revelation, I am forever changed by it and I am ready to tell you this. I love God and He loves me. So, through the tears and transformation that I am working through, I want to share with you what happened that left me hating God for 17 years and why I felt so ashamed when I finally came back to Him 5 years ago. I hope this helps you stay connected on Instagram with me and start rewriting the story in your mind.
"she's my hard one." "she's my sweet one." "she's my baby." That is exactly how my client described her three daughters to me after speaking through a stream of tears that she "feels so disconnected with her oldest." Guess which one is her oldest? "The hard one." This episode is all about what you CAN do about that so you can start feeling more connected with all of your kids, without trying to control who they are, how they feel and what they do. This is practical work that CAN be done. So let's do it! Hang tight because I have a brand new parenting mindset course" being released this September. It will teach you all of the practical tools you can be using on a daily basis, no matter your circumstances. You can start your mindset work right now inside of my journaling course. Teach your mind how to think in a way that empowers you! www.alignmentjournaling.com Follow along on Instagram to keep the daily inspiration flowing! love you dearly and we will talk really soon!
This episode shares a story that takes us all the way back to the summer going into my junior year of high school- which was a rough time in my life. I had just taken a BIG step out of my comfort zone and tried out for the JV Cheer team and made it!! Now I needed to figure out how the heck I was going to pay for cheer camp. This episode instills hope and inspiration to look for what is possible and the willingness to say "I've got this" along the way. You can follow Tessa on Instagram here. Implement practical mindset work in your daily life, here.
"don't do that!" "I told you not to do that!!" Have you wore down the word "don't" that it's really lost its value and severity? I get it! We can build back the value of what we say by speaking with intention and clear direction. This episode will teach you how to share more of what you DO want and use language to paint a clear vision that brings your home and family into alignment with what you DO want to see. Are you using "can't" more often than you'd like? I believe that many of us are and it's time to become prepared with a practical action plan and big WHY to do it! This work matters and your words hold power, so let's make sure your words are serving you and your family. I believe the greatest gift we can give our kids is tied for first with 1. our time and 2. our intentional words. If you're ready to go from "you can't have ice cream." "you can't watch a movie." "you can't hit your brother." all the way over to "you can have ice cream on Friday. Let's go find a good snack for right now." "It's time to play with toys. You can go get your favorite cars or take our kinetic sand!" "You can walk away when you feel angry because hitting hurts your brother. You can make good choices now." These WORDS are available to you and are absolutely free and require everything that you already have to effectively use them. Let's train your mind to serve you. Take a great big step and invest in your mental health through my Alignment Journal method. This course will teach you how to prepare your mind to actually implement the changes you want to see in your life. find the course here If you'd love more mindset examples and inspiration, then join me over on Instagram.
Do you need a solid plan to implement when communicating with the people in your life and trying to think differently in the MOMENT? Me too :) which is how I found this magic word duo that has been a game-changing-show-grace-giver-move on my occasionally reactive mind. Good deal, right?! Listen in to learn the two words, why we are doing it and how to use them! What I recommend most of all is to START WRITING. Open up your journal each day, even for just a few minutes, so you can discipline your mind to slow down and think greater. You will feel tremendous relief when you change the narrative in your mind. Sometimes your mind gets loud with the thoughts that no longer serve you and it feels heavy and hard to know which way is up, and worse than that, why you are even showing up. My mommy heart often goes to places about my boys future and sometimes it floods me with gratitude and other times it brings me to tears. Motherhood has so much hard and good in it. It is hard to think about the future our kids will face and the possibilities that come with that. We know full well that they will experience hardship that is outside of our capacity of protection as mothers. They will live and they will learn and we will watch a lot of that. Fortunately for us, we have a wonderful opportunity right now while they are still in our home. While they are still watching our every move and hearing the words we speak. Now is the time to be proud of the example we set and the way we influence, which is easier when you have a role model to follow. Right? I am sharing my role model with you today, in hopes that you will go find yours. She's closer than you think. Mind Body Alignment enrollment closes June 17! This course is all about uncovering who you are truly meant to be and teaching you the practical skills and tools you need to get there. It is a fresh start in your life on many levels and I hope to see you there.
Have you been searching for a way to build more connection and vulnerability in your relationship? Because, SAME. It's something to continue striving for especially in my marriage. It can feel overwhelming to think about all of the ways we want to improve and show up so I wanted to make this short episode to teach you two itty bitty simple ways you can get started TODAY. No more waiting, now is your time to shiiine. You know me, I love what can be simplified and implemented! It's all nice in theory without the real STEPS to get there, so I have pretty steps for you to take. These two things are for you if... 1. You want to build back connection and vulnerability 2. You find yourself criticizing... my husband calls it "the peanut gallery" 3. You find yourself arguing more than you'd like. 4. You're getting one word answers from your spouse and kids. 5. You're craving a wholesome step into alignment. This podcast episode has got the golden goodness you're looking for and you can implement it today. The very next conversation you find yourself in or choices you observe someone else making. This will be fun! Grab that laundry basket and pop in a headphone so we can get to work on what we do control... YOU! Remember that you can change before anyone or anything else does :) love you something fierce and I hope to see you inside of the Mind Body Alignment Summer Group! We deserve to be the mother we want our children to have. It's all within us and this is the good work to do that brings her out.
My husband was out of town for a few days and I got to experience what it is like when I AM showing up as who I want to be, and when I am not. I got to learn so much in that time spent with my three boys and being able to figure out "what's really different here?" I know that circumstances can feel really freaking hard and honestly, I know the feeling of mom guilt. Where do we go from there? Listen to this episode to bring some light into your mindset and encourage you to show up today with a NEW perspective. You can sign up for my FREE Three Day Mindset Workshop here! I will coach you through building your identity, cutting off your victim mentality and leaning in to your empowered mind. I am excited to see you there June 6th, 7th and 8th, 2023 enrollment for my 12 week course Mind Body Alignment opens up on June 5th! You know that moment that it feels like such a struggle to hold your tongue when you want to say something hurtful? How it feels like a struggle to do your workout or even cook meals at home. It feels like a struggle to choose to breathe instead of yelling at your kids when they are doing THE THING you asked them 143 times not to do. I get it. During my workout this week I added 10 pounds to my weights and it felt like such a struggle. A struggle that I had put on myself, on purpose. Then it clicked for me that I can intentionally choose areas that I am willing to struggle in because they matter that much to ME. Breathing instead of yelling matters so much to me and I am okay with it feeling hard to do. What matters so much to you that you're willing to experience the struggle that it takes to get there and accomplish that thing? This episode will walk you through the mentality you need and a journaling prompt that will help you tremendously! click here to have your email on my list of friends wanting an invite to my free three day workshop happening on June 6th, 7th and 8th! Enrollment for Mind Body Alignment opens on June 5th and this will be my first group that I have a set limit of clients working with me to ensure that you get the time, energy and coaching you need during our 12 weeks together. This is my last group of 2023 so make sure YOU are there with US!
Oh man, has the victim mentality been spreading like wild fire in a dry terrain. Listen, I get it!! There's a lot out of our control and sometimes it feels really freaking good to just sit right where you're at and feel upset and complain about what's going on. I go to that place too! The goal is to be CONSCIOUS of when you are in it so you can then pull yourself out of it when you are ready. Do you really want to stay in that place for days or even hours after your kids were fighting that morning or date night gets canceled because the babysitter is sick? I don't. The first step to take is going to start building out a conscious awareness to your language which is such a gift! This is how you begin to change your mindset AND model the mindset you want your kids to have. All of the time, energy, money and efforts you are investing into yourself will have the GREATEST return of all for you and your family. Your return is measured in emotional regulation, presence you hold and capacity that has expanded. This type of investing is the most profitable form to do because it is investing in YOURSELF and YOU are the one that will make the largest difference in your life. Take this first step with me. Replace this onnnne word in your language and watch the magic spark a whole new kind of flame! My free three day "Mastering Your Mindset Workshop" is starting up June 6th, 7th and 8th of 2023! You are going to want to be there if you have been seeking a way to build more practical skills and tools that will change the way you feel and what you do on a daily basis. Just click here to make sure you are send the link for the workshop and the coaching goodies that come along with it :) I'll see you soon!
In a four minute time period of looking for Liam at the beach, I experienced a wide range of thoughts and feelings. Have you ever thought you lost your child in the store or at the park? Seconds feel like 10 minute periods and the fear creeps up just as fast as your adrenaline. Through experiencing that feeling at the beach, I want to share my perspective through it all. The feelings that came, thoughts I had and what I intentionally decided to do once I found Liam. I hope this episode inspires you to choose different than you initial thought. I have a free three day “Overcoming the Victim Mentality” workshop coming up for you during the first week of June! I’d love to see you there! oh this episode is sweeet, and I am hopeful that this is a practical approach that can change the way you parent and feel as a mother! I get it. That "no" that rushes to your mind when your kids ask a question like "can we buy this toy" or "mom, will you come swim?" Our mind loves to do what is easy and somewhere along the way, "no" has become the easy answer. Is it really easier though? Is it easier to say "no" or "yes?" This episode is unpacking how it IS (well, can be if you let it) easier to say YES! We are talking through what happens when you become a "yes mama" and creative ways you can ditch the "no" even for just one day. I mentioned that Mind Body Alignment, my 12 week group coaching course, opens enrollment June 5, 2023 This is our last group coaching of 2023 and I believe you will know if you are meant to be there! I will have the details posted soon for you :) click here to subscribe to emails and get more mindset goodness sent right to your inbox!
Have you ever thought that you need to provide heavy consequences and take things away in order to see better behavior in your kids? Me too! I also think that you have had some initial negative thoughts spouting off in your mind when you're witnessing that poor behavior, just like I have. Rest assured that I am here to share some mindset goodness in this episode by sharing a story that had one mama asking me "what about rewarding negative behavior? I feel like I need to have consequences and make threats in order to see good behavior." I love that question, so let's dive in to what I do! In this episode we will unpack: -behavior is a symptom, so what is the root cause? -Yes, we have initial negative thoughts sometimes. What do we do next? -Providing better opportunities for better behavior. -Doing what we want to do with our kids! -Ensuring that hard moment doesn't drag into a hard day... and of course, being the mom you want to be because you CAN do that and it is very much up to you to do so! I mentioned the Alignment Journaling Course in here. You can find the fruit rolls that we love, right here! Staying connected is easy peasy with me! Connecting over email right here allows you to receive mindset coaching, special tips and the occasional fun finds! You can find lots and lots of mindset swaps, practical coaching and daily thought work on my Instagram Account @tessaromero_ I love doing all that I can to serve you in becoming and remaining in alignment as the mother you want to be. I know we can do this and although it feels freaking hard at times, it is undeniably important and endlessly worth it. Let's keep going.
I expect my kids to yell. I expect them to run. I expect them to have a strong personal preference... and all of these expectations make my life so much easier because my mind is better equipped to accept my circumstances as they come, and feel proud of the way I overcome each one! This episode will be a game charger for you and help you get your expectations in check! www.alignmentjournaling.com
We are still going strong with this and (just yesterday) we were on a 7 hour flight with all three boys and only used a movie for 30 minutes!!! Can you even believe that because it is still blowing my dang mind. This is my personal preference and there is absolutely zero judgment for when and how you choose to give your kids screens. I noticed that I didn't like how often I was using it and there was difficult behavior coming up more often AND my kids were frequently asking to watch something. I was over it and decided to make a big ol' change. If this sounds like you... then come on in! REVIVE enrollment is open for the women that are meant to be here with me. Being the mother you want to be takes HEALING your way there, not shaming your way there. Fortunately for you, I've been through my fair share of hardship and time out of alignment. This is exactly how I have created Mind Body Alignment (my signature 12 week course) and REVIVE (my three day all inclusive totally immersive healing retreat.) I may not be able to do the work for you, and that's okay! I sure as heck can be a fantastic guide, coach and challenger in your corner helping you get the work done!
This is your chance to BE who you want to be and embrace how different that may look from the way you were raised. Meet yourself exactly where you are at so that you CAN be different and make the changes you want to make. Love you dearly!
Grab a pen and piece of paper and get really HONEST. Hold yourself accountable to who you are saying people are. Who do you say your husband, kids, in-laws, neighbors and friends ARE? What if they could only ever be who you say they are, would you change what you say to and about them. Remember the power of those "you are" statements and take the next step to building a world you want to see. I am proud of you! www.alignmentjournaling.com
oh my mama friend! I was facing heaps of natural consequences for myself last night after choosing the things I wanted to do over the things I needed to do. I did a 20 min workout at 8:30 pm and was journaling at 11:15 pm and stayed up connecting with my husband after he got home from his trip until 2:00 am! NOT MY NORMAL or my ideal, I am a in bed by 9:00 am kind of girl. However, I think it is very valuable to allow myself to experience natural consequences and hold myself accountable to doing things I say I will do so I can learn my lessons quickly and improve myself faster than that. You can hear the whole dang story in this episode and I hope it inspires you to see where your natural consequences are at. Then look at how much you can change! www.alignmentjournaling.com
I KNOW you would not choose a lot of the circumstances you have right now, or have been through in your life. I get that and that is so valid! But, since we don't get to choose every circumstance, let's focus on who you are choosing to be. That is where your golden goodness of freedom is at and where I want you to go! This episode is going to help you step into that intentional identity that you want for yourself and build the empowered mindset that you need in order to take yourself there. We can do it together!
holy-guacamole... anyone else have a Fierce February?! I know, me too! I wanted to spend time sharing three monumental, easy to implement, mindsets that I teach and model to my kids every. single. day! Truly, if you just watched to these three things and intentionally put emphasis on them, our kids will grow up knowing who they are, the empowerment they have AND how to think greater than their circumstances. Can you even imagine our world changers?! Butterflies just thinking about it. Amazing! Lastly, you know how big I am on slowing your mind down through the power of pen to paper. You need to give your mind a new program to follow and you can do that TODAY inside of my Alignment Journaling Course. I'll teach you how to do it, even if you haven't been through my 12 week course Mind Body Alignment, or started your self-discovery and healing work. That's okay. Start with this and you'll be able to keep going :) www.alignmentjournaling.com Love you dearly and a heck of a lot more than that! -Tessa Romero

Grateful that I got to create this life changing course for you to see the progress you want for yourself in life!! www.alignmentjournaling.com
I only do what I want to do each day. Even when doing the things I "need" to do before the things I "want" to do... I view it all as what I want to do and SO CAN YOU!! This is not a mindset that only works for "lucky people" and "perfect circumstances." This mindset will help you become empowered to show up and do the things you say you're going to do in your life, because you are now focusing on what you really want. It's January 11 and my first real day in my morning routine that I want for myself and it felt HARD AS HECK to do it- but I wanted to do it. You're not too late to take advantage of 2023 and I am right here with you to teach you how to build a mindset that grows you into who you WANT to be. grab my course for more mindset work and coaching from me :) www.alignmentjournaling.com
Join me inside the alignment journaling course for more coaching through your mindset! www.alignmentjournaling.com How often have you told your kids "you are so difficult!" "You are so mean!" and "You are a bad girl!" that gets internalized to "I am difficult, mean and a bad girl..." How about what you say to your spouse... what "you are" statements do you use? "You are so selfish!" "You are clueless, you have no idea what this is like!" and "you are uninvolved!" that gets internalized to "I am selfish, clueless and uninvolved." ouch. You do this all the time with "I have a difficult baby..." all the way to "My MIL is inconsiderate!" Calling people things that we don't want them to be... not awesome for YOU or them. So, let's fix this mistake! This podcast episode spills all the golden goodness about building "you are" statements that help to build up the people around you... instead of them internalizing negative statements made about them.
A couple nights ago was a WOWZA kind of night in our home. Luke hit Liams let so Liam kicked Luke in the face, while I am cooking dinner, Marcus was cleaning the enormous silly string mess and we were "behind" our schedule. How do you get your mind back on your side when your body FEELS angry and all you want to do is give your child the cold shoulder and ignore them?! That's how I felt and here's how I did different than the way I felt. It turned into an incredibly empowering moment in motherhood as I felt myself breaking cycles, thinking greater and using self-discovery in the moment. The skills and tools I teach you in Mind Body Alignment serve you for a lifetime. Expectations, boundaries, shame resilience and Identity at work in this one! AHHH, enrollment to Mind Body Alignment is open December 10-22!!
I got this DM on Instagram and knew I needed to bring it to life over here on the podcast because she, myself and YOU are not alone! If you have my journaling course then email me info@bodybymommy.com for the early enrollment link to Mind Body Alignment! Open enrollment to my 12 week coaching program is December 11-22, 2022 and we begin together on January 1, 2023!
Have you ever pulled weeds? I actually REALLY enjoy this task now but I used to short cut it when I was a kid. Makes sense why I struggled with my mindset and ACTUALLY healing! lol Anyway, when you pull weeds we know it is NOT effective to just pull off a leaf. It is also ineffective to cut the stem of a weed. What do we need to do to actually get rid of a weed? Get the wholllllle dang root out of there, which is the same as negative thought patters. Gardening and self-healing really are my jam! This comes into the roots we have and the fruits we are receiving. Yelling at the lemon tree YOU planted will not give you apples. You'd need to uproot the tree and plant new seeds. Have a happy Thanksgiving my friends. I am so thankful for you! Can you believe Mind Body Alignment Enrollment is so soon? December 1-10 for my journaling community! December 11-21 open to everyone else! ahhh, bring on twenty-twenty-threeee xoxo Tessa
Here come the holidays with family gatherings, expectations and occasionally really freaking difficult circumstances to navigate. I hope this episode gives you a clarity in the way you want to show up this season and how you want to view the view around you. YOU are doing the best you can and so are they. You can find my journaling course right here if you'd like to recondition your mindset to align with who you want to be. https://tessa-romero.mykajabi.com/Journaling Enrollment into my 12 week course Mind Body Alignment is set for early access to everyone with my Journaling course December 1-10 and open enrollment for every else on December 11-21 I will share a link with details when enrollment opens!
A simple exercise to actually improve your mindset in your marriage AND your feelings towards your spouse in a very genuine and wholehearted way. Here is the link to grab the journaling course to be apart of the weekly coaching emails I send out and the monthly coaching session I do with the community! https://tessa-romero.mykajabi.com/Journaling Email me to request past resources info@bodybymommy.com
Your mindset matters and what you tell yourself is directly correlated to how you feel. "I am the default parent" and constantly seeing that everywhere... is it helping you? Maybe this "I am the default parent" mentality is actually strengthening the victim mentality that you are working so hard to overcome. This episode is designed to help shift your perspective on the "default parent." As always, I hope this serves you! You can join my waitlist to get the first details and enrollment opportunity into my New Years coaching session using the link below! https://tessa-romero.mykajabi.com/coachingwaitlist
The mental load of motherhood IS a real thing and I believe we all experience a version of it. You are so, so valid to feel the way you do right this second. However, as I have found a million descriptions of the "mental load of motherhood" and what it is... I haven't see tips, tools and strategies being shared about how to help ourselves through it. If anything I have noticed the constant push of descriptions and "relatable posts" to be littered with negative language that can describe the way women are feeling but aren't actually providing relief. Just my person observation. I wanted to share an episode covering four ways that I help myself when I feel the weight of the mental load. These four tips are what help ME and I truly hope will help you if you want to give them a try. You do A LOT every single day and I know a lot falls on you. That is why I always want to deliver practical skills and tools for us to use that have the potential of helping us feel better. I hope this serves you.
Okay, I love this episode. Just taking messy action on my closet floor with my three week old on my lap as I find my rhythm and do what I love to do! I hope this episode better serves and empowers you to confidently control your own mindset even when someone around you has a negative mindset they are struggling with. Lots of ideas added in for examples and pumping up YOUR empowerment to know you are never stuck. Love you dearly friends!
Gosh I could literally birth Drew all over again TODAY, that's how magical it was for me. I am so excited to share all about his birth story and how I overcame difficult circumstances of my photographer not being able to make it, to Liam (my 4 year old) joining in the birth and every contraction in between. So much magic and MINDSET working together. You can learn my journaling method that I referred to here! Alignment Journaling is hands down what I recommend to start building a mindset that aligns with who you want to be and focus on empowering yourself through annny circumstance. I have used it for three years and did it specifically to prepare for my birth with Drew- GAME CHANGER!! As I mentioned in the podcast, here is the link to my birth playlist that brought so much peace to my birth and mind!
Today I am sharing a simple story with a powerful example of how my mindset brought me closer to my husband when it initially would have drifted me away and caused a huge argument. I know this story can be resonated with on how sometimes we need to "look again." Mindset applies to everything because you have thoughts about everything, and marriage is no exception! I personally apply mindset in my marriage just as intentionally as I do in motherhood and it is the only way I am truly able to be the wife I want to be and grow my marriage stronger- especially with our third baby arriving any day now! If you are needing a strong resource to teach you how to begin aligning your mindset with the wife you want to be, check out my "Alignment Journaling Course" so I can teach you this method! You can focus entirely on marriage, motherhood, careers, relationships, finances and any circumstance using this journaling method. Each month I send out "topic emails" to further coach you through your journaling practice, and September will be our "marriage topic" to cover! Make sure you subscribe to the emails when you purchase so they are send to your inbox! "mindset in marriage" is not about staying in toxic or abusive circumstances. It is about knowing who you are, what you deserve and how you can ensure you get that because your mind says you CAN. You deserve the marriage you dream of having and YOU get to be the one that knows that and pursues that. If it means staying in your current relationship or leaving, mindset will help you or hurt you through it.
At the end of all of my pregnancies I have experiences a "mental breakdown" where I feel my mind flooded with A LOT of self-doubt, negativity and harsh criticism of myself. This happened last night and I want you to feel more prepared for how you can help yourself if this every happens to you because I woke up this morning feeling absolutely clear and focused on what I need. Journaled first thing about who I am and the mental rehearsal I needed to tell the TRUTH to myself and then moved right into my action steps to fiercely overcome all of that criticism and negativity I got wrapped into the night before. My course to teach you Alignment Journaling so you can build a mindset that aligns with who you WANT to be!
A new perspective to help you challenge your mindset if "I've lost myself in motherhood" is no longer serving you. I am sending out topic emails every month to everyone who has my "Alignment Journaling Course" so I can help you enrich your journaling practice in a variety of ways! The topic of July is "Birth" and it will be filled with contractions, pain, "what if's" and more! Don't miss out if you're wanting to build a positive mindset to support you through birth. The August topic will be "Postpartum" and watch out for "Marriage" will be in the months to follow! You are currently creating who you are meant to be while intentionally letting go of who you no longer need to be. I am proud of you and our individual journeys in motherhood.
Lets take this topic on and give you the encouragement you need to overcome negative thoughts that DO and WILL come! Negative thoughts are a healthy part of mental wellness and it matters more what you do with them than if you have them. Having negative thoughts does not make you a negative person, identifying as a negative person makes you a negative person. Ready to REALLY change your mindset and condition your mindset to know what to do with negative thoughts? Use my Alignment Journaling Course to give your mind some mental conditioning whenever you need it! https://tessa-romero.mykajabi.com/Journaling
I am starting my second 100 day challenge on Friday, July 1 and want to invite you to join me! I know it's a little short notice but 1) that's just less time to talk yourself out of it ;) and 2) you can start your own 100 day challenge ANY DAY you want! This challenge isn't about me and what I'm doing, it's about YOU becoming who you want to be by making and keeping small commitments to yourself. If you want to change your mindset and pick up a daily journaling practice that will radically improve your mindset then you can find my self-guided Alignment Journaling Course here! This course will teach you how to view yourself as who you want to be, align your mindset with that version of you and mentally rehearse the actions needed to live it out in your daily LIFE! Hint: why I journal out that method every-single-day. My personal 100 day commitment: 1. Daily Alignment Journaling to fill one page. 2. Daily expressed appreciation to my husband. 3. Daily expressed appreciation to my kids. 4. Daily physical touch with my husband. (especially entered the newborn stage!) 5. Daily screen limits with my phone of 4 hours a day or less! (No nighttime scrolling while nursing my baby, this goal keeps me committed to getting my work done each day and staying intentional every time I pick up my phone!) Are you in?!
Stop trying to skip to where you want to be and start conditioning your mindset to meet you RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE AT! Sharing some personal experience learning this mindset and how it helped me grow into who I wanted to be, just by accepting the steps and process that it required to get there. https://tessa-romero.mykajabi.com/Journaling Shamelessly encouraging you to GET THE Alignment Journaling Course because 1) you deserve a mental self-care practice that reconditions your mindset to support you and 2) The REVIEWS have been powerful of how hundreds of women are finding a new mindset within them in just ONE journaling experience using this method and 3) you deserve a mindset that supports you every single day in every single season of your life! ALSO, July 1 I am starting my second 100 day challenge and you are welcome to join me!! What a great time to commit to journaling everyday together or getting on top of a habit you way to create. You are invited!
Relatability, especially in motherhood, can be a very dangerous trap that is easy to slip into but it is not the only way to do things. Through this episode I am hoping to empower you to take a good look at what you do and do not relate to and ask yourself if it's what you want. What do you want to relate to? What do you want to stop relating to? Powerful change in your motherhood journey and MINDSET is going to come from within you, not outside of you. Here is the link to my new alignment journaling course that will help you align your mindset with who you want to be, rather than battling your mindset each day. I am so excited to hear all about your experience and progress in this course because I love it SO much! https://tessa-romero.mykajabi.com/Journaling

Well, it looks like I need to just create a new intro for the podcast so we have that to look forward to in upcoming episodes. Good stuff to come! Enrollment to my 12 week course is now OPEN (closes March 25) and it is the last group session I am running of 2022! This deep rooted belief that everyone is doing the best they can has stirred up quite a bit of push back and so we are diving in deeper together on this episode to prove to you that YOU are doing the best you can AND so are THEY! This does not mean we can not improve, quite the opposite. It means that you will meet yourself right where you are at so that you can access the healing, discovery, skills and tools you need to continue improving! The old approach of shaming and bullying yourself to change is completely backwards and ineffective. Allow this new belief system to instill in your mind and heart and I promise that your mindset and actions will change too. Coaching enrollment for Mind Body Alignment, my signature 12 week course of self-discovery and healing so you can learn the skills and tools you need to become who you want to be with a mindset that supports you, opens on MARCH 15! "When does it get easier?!" Really, changing your mindset can become really fun when you are vulnerable enough to implement these three points AND see each negative thought as an opportunity, not a failure! I included journaling prompts at the end of this episode to help you get pen to paper and really start doing the GOOD work that leads to your sustainable change. Love you friends!
My heart is with every single woman in the waiting period or healing from loss. As I experience another pregnancy I wanted to share the story of how I found out and how I am allowing myself to fully enjoy and embrace this journey even though I know I do not control the outcome. My miscarriage taught me so many lessons I didn't know I needed and that I am sharing with you. I hope this episode brings you a little peace and hopefully trust in your body for when you experience your pregnancy, too. My goal is to always serve and I know it can feel triggering for some, so please stay mindful of your triggers and meeting your needs. Sending you so much love and a warm embrace no matter what journey you are on. I hope the lessons I have learned serve you, too.

Well, self-discovery needs to be done if you are going to make sustainable and meaningful changes to your actions because you need to understand whhhhy you do what you do. Why do you feel triggered by your kids or when you don't feel heard? That is self-discovery. Who are you and why do you think, say and do the things you do. I would love feedback from you to know if you enjoy the Q&A portion and want to see this done more consistently on the show?
Do you know what your triggers are and how you numb? One of my triggers is when my kids just stand in front of each other and scream as loud as they can... it brings up all of my feelings so quickly and in that moment it feels easy to just lose it. Yelling can be numbing, too! This episode is to help you further do the self-discovery work needed to know your triggers and how you numb so you can start actually helping yourself through the hard moments and difficult emotions instead of trying to escape them. Expand to make room for all of your emotions to co-exist as needed. I walk you through four grounding exercises to try and see if they help you! I will be live today (Wednesday 11/17) on Instagram @tessaromero_ to make pretzels with you (YUM) and talk about triggers, numbing and mindset! NOPE. A positive mindset does NOT prevent bad things from happening to you or keep you from feeling difficult emotions. A positive mindset DOES help you through the hard moments and big emotions so you don't get stuck there. Let's dive into this together! We are kicking things off while sitting in our feelings and talking about why you and I should continue focusing on changing our mindsets! The biggest reason being because we don't always get to control our circumstances, but we do get to control what we THINK about them. I want you to always gear your mind towards being your own best friend and believing in yourself- even when things get tough. Because that is how you empower yourself to focus on what is in your control and how to help yourself. I hope you can feel my love pouring into you and I am so grateful to be here with you, If you missed the launch of my email list and my FREE "Daily Mindset Check List" then use this link to get all caught up https://tessa-romero.mykajabi.com/pl/2147542807
