Alex Golesh said Brown had a really solid day operating Auburn’s offense, throwing the football well, making good reads in the run game and showing flashes of what he can do with his legs. That is exactly the kind of progress Auburn needs to see as fall camp moves closer to Week 1. The important part is Auburn still has not seen everything Brown can bring to this offense. With the quarterback protected during practice, his physical running ability cannot fully show up in a scrimmage setting. But if Brown is already throwing the football well and making the right decisions while Auburn’s defense is challenging him, that is a positive development for this offense.
