Ed Sheeran CRIES… Then Apologizes For Apologizing.
Podcast: The Jimmy Dore ShowPublished On: Wed Sep 23 2026
Description: In this episode Jimmy and Americans' Comedian Kurt Metzger mock Ed Sheeran's recent response to the outcry after he banned Macklemore from his tour over Gaza, focusing on Sheeran's statement on stage that the situation in Gaza is "catastrophic and unjustifiable" while emphasizing that his shows should remain centered on "unity." Jimmy lights into Sheeran, pointing out that his "both sides" remarks ignore the political context of the conflict and questions his decision to perform at venues associated with people or institutions connected to Israel. The discussion also covers reactions from pro-Palestinian activists, criticism of Sheeran's subsequent apology for discussing Gaza during the concert, and broader arguments about celebrity influence, wealth, and political speech. The segment concludes by encouraging viewers to look beyond political divisions and scrutinize the relationships between entertainers, wealthy donors, governments, and media institutions. Plus segments on Israel's cratering popularity among the American public and Children Health Defense's Mary Talley Bowden writing a letter to Trump and RFK threatening to pull support from the MAHA movement. Also featuring Stef Zamorano and Mike MacRae. And a phone call from Kash Patel!
