Description: Carson Beck threw 4 touchdown passes- 2 apiece to Malachi Toney and CJ Daniel’s, the Miami defense sucked the life out of Doak Campbell Stadium early then hung in late, and the #2 Miami Hurricanes smashed the #19 Florida State Seminoles 28-22 in Tallahassee to stake their claim to the #1 ranking in all of college football. Beck hit Daniels on a 4-yard slant to give the ‘Canes their 1st lead at 7-3. The TD toss to cap a 9-play, 79-yards drive. The 5th-year senior then hit Toney with a 44-yard touchdown pass on a beautifully executed flea flicker to put the Hurricanes up 14-3 on the road at arch-rival Florida State. Bryce Fitzgerald Jr. set it up with his 3rd interception of the season, picking off FSU QB Tommy Castellanos on a 4th & 8 from the Miami 41, and returning it 43 yards. Beck hit Toney from 40 yards out in a  to make it 21-3.
