Gabriel was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His mother, Irina Brecher, is a ballet dancer from Romania.[3] Gabriel, who was raised in Larkspur, Colorado, began dancing at the early age of two years. He appeared with Janet Jackson for three years in a number of her videos, TV shows, and live performances. He also took part in shows by Mariah Carey, Beyoncé, Christina Aguilera, Chris Brown, Ne-Yo, The Pussycat Dolls, Hilary Duff, John Legend, Kylie Minogue, and Omarion.[4] He has worked in several American commercials and in the movies Jackass Number Two, Clerks 2, and Center Stage: Turn It Up. Gabriel was selected as a principal dancer for Michael Jackson's This Is It concerts and was set to perform in all 50 shows scheduled for the O2 Arena in London, England. The concerts were canceled 18 days before the dancers were set to travel to London due to Jackson's death. Gabriel was subsequently featured along with the 10 other dancers in the concerts' behind the scenes film, Michael Jackson's This Is It. He then appeared in a major role, as Eddie, Sean (Ryan Guzman's) best friend, in the film Step Up Revolution (2012), directed by Scott Speer and Step Up: All In (2014), directed by Trish Sie. About Charles Wright Best known as the leader of `70s soul group The Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band and the composer of the resourcefully recycled R&B smash âExpress Yourself,â Charles Wright has evolved into a tireless watchdog of African American history. Mr. Wright is author of the richly engrossing âUp From Where Weâve Comeâ: his first in a 3-part series of autobiographies â this one detailing his childhood in a family of. This 2016 release is available as a physical book, a digital download and an audio book. Charles Wright was born and raised near Clarksdale, Mississippi. After his family moved to Los Angeles, Charles discovered music at Manual Arts High School, shortly after taking up singing, songwriting and playing guitar. He worked a few manual labor jobs including the pressing plant at Top Records before singing in doo-wop groups The Twilighters, The Galahads and The Shields [which also included Jesse Belvin with Johnny âGuitarâ Watson accompanying, who scored a hit with âYou Cheatedâ (#11 R&B / #12 Pop)]. Charles was briefly A&R Director at Del-Fi Records where he co-produced the1961 hit âThose Oldies but Goodies (Remind Me of You)â by Little Caesar and the Romans. By 1964, he formed Charles Wright & the Wright Sounds (Barry White played the drums for them briefly) that evolved into Charles Wright & The Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band which included drummer James Gadson (lead singer of their hit âLovelandâ) and guitarist Al McKay (later a key member of Earth Wind & Fire). Initially backing comedian Bill Cosby, this 8-piece ensemble of rhythm and horns became the first R&B band signed to Warner Bros. Records. Charlesâ and the bandâs best known number is the international crossover smash âExpress Yourselfâ (#3 R&B / #12 Pop), written, arranged and sung by Charles. Since the Summer of `70, the Grammy-nominated song has enjoyed a long and lucrative life for Wright; sampled by many rap artists (including groundbreaking âStraight Outta Comptonâ gangster rappers N.W.A); utilized in dozens of commercials for everything from Burger King fast food in America to Bitburger beer in Germany; used in many movies (including âMr. & Mrs. Smithâ); and, in sports, has been used by the PGA, the Summer Olympics and the NBA. Wright also re-arranged âExpress Yourselfâ for a public service campaign as âProtect Yourself,â a message to youth to use condoms that he performed at the first âAIDS Walk Circle of Life Concert.â 1969âs âDo Your Thingâ (a masterful edit of a jam recorded live at the Haunted House club in Hollywood in 1967), was memorably utilized in the 1997 film âBoogie Nightsâ (set in the 1977 world of big screen XXX-rated movie making). Charles Wright recorded five LPs with the band and one solo LP for Warner Bros. (Poetry & Rhythm â 1972) followed by three for ABC-Dunhill. In the `90s, Wright started his own label, A Million Dollarsâ Worth of Memories Records, through which he has released ten CDs. The 2014 CD Letâs Make Love Tonight featured the single/video âIâll Give You Time.â His latest CD, Something to Make You Feel Good, was released in spring of 2016 featuring the single/video âShe Donât Believe In Loveâ as well as the pre-release video âLooking For an Ugly Woman.â The company also released the concert DVD âLive at The Ford Theater.â The video department of Charlesâ company produced a documentary, âBring Back the Harmony,â which follows Wright in his quest to return music education to the school system. It also produced 30 half-hour episodes of an interview show entitled âExpress Yourselfâ showcasing the lives and careers of celebrities from rock and roll pioneer Little Richard to Hollywood actor James McEachin. Still going strong, Charles possesses a wealth of knowledge, experience and anecdotes â humorous to profound â that make him a compelling personality for interviews, panels and multi-media platforms. In 1989, Stevie Bâs sophomore effort âIn My Eyesâ showed him growing as an artist, as the album took on a much more sophisticated flavor. In addition to his trademark dance songs, the album also featured smooth and soulful ballads and giddy pop tunes. âI Wanna Be The Oneâ solidified Stevieâs crossover into the pop market as the song rose into the Billboard Top 40. However, it was the power ballad âLove Me For Lifeâ that took Stevie all the way into the Top 10 and made him the artist with the highest debuting song in the history of R&R magazine. Like itâs predecessor, âIn My Eyesâ went onto RIAA Platinum status, setting the stage for Stevie B to become a household name worldwide. Though the record debuted in the Top 10, âLove & Emotionâ was released in 1990 to little fanfare. Born in Sun Valley, CA to a rock musician and a second-generation circus runaway turned film and television sound editors, sheâs no stranger to the struggles of what it takes to âmake itâ according to the standards of âthe bizâ. Â Her parents divorced when she was two and, although they were struggling financially, they agreed to provide her with piano lessons. She started composing her own music when she was just six years old. She made her feature film debut in Stuart Little along with numerous voice-over projects. Just as her young Hollywood career seemed about to take off, the rug was pulled out from beneath her when her mother and stepfather made an abrupt move to Albuquerque, NMfollowing the promise of steady work. Â To escape her abusive stepfather, MERCY ran away from home in her mid-teens. She found herself in Las Vegas with her at-the-time boyfriend singing for money on the street corners. Covers of Madonna, Heart and the Spice Girls provided enough money for them to survive while sleeping in her truck. When this proved to be a hard way to live, she moved back to California and into her fatherâs home. Coming back to Los Angeles was no easy thing. She floated aimlessly, developing an addiction to alcohol that almost took her life. Fearing she couldnât stay in LA, she made the hard decision to move back to New Mexico after being accepted into the University of New Mexico. Â She supported herself through college, working multiple bartending jobs. When money was tight, she resorted back to living in her car to continue doing the things she loved. She developed an immense passion to wander through the fringes of the entertainment industry, thriving in the strangest of places, all while working toward a dual degree in Forensic Anthropology and Psychology. With a great sense of adventure, MERCY has gathered more experiences, good and bad, than most people can even dream of. She has numerous alternative and tattoo modeling appearances. She transitioned into burlesque in 2010 after winning a modeling pageant at the Rock the Ink tattoo convention. She expanded her entertainment skills into Fire Arts less than a year later. She graduated with honors in 2012, quickly learning the mainstream career she was pursuing no longer existed. So she joined the circus, literally. Claire Chubbuck is an emerging female director that creates mission driven content that creates catharsis for those working on it - she calls it âCathartic Realismâ. Cathartic Realism is a genre where artists tell the story of their personal traumas to find healing through catharsis. A take on the âtrue storyâ trope, this genre allows artists to depict their truths - the way it felt to them, but with an ending where you win for the purpose of cathartic release. The only way we can let it go is to feel it. She works with actors to use the traumatic events in their lives to make art. Born in Los Angeles, California, Claire Chubbuck is the daughter of internationally celebrated acting coach, Ivana Chubbuck, and award-winning director/producer, the late Lyndon Chubbuck. After going to Scripps College in 2007 for Economics, she graduated from New York Universityâs Tisch School of the Arts with honors (recipient of the Founders Award) and a BFA in Filmmaking in 2012. Straight out of the gate she worked at AMC Networks as a Programming and Scheduling executive. While working there, Claire began creating short form content for SundanceTVâs International channels that was broadcast worldwide. In 2013, Claire worked as a producer on âPussy Riot: The Movementâ, the first comprehensive film that tells the full story - from arrest through release from prison and beyond - of the remarkable women who defied a strongman, survived Russian prisons and rallied the world behind them. Claire personally won âBest Directionâ at the Best Shorts Competition in addition âBest First Time Directorâ at Canadian Cinematography Awards, New York Cinematography Awards (NYCA), and Top Shorts Awards.
