PREFACEAs I take my imagination, and travel into the midst of my mind, I will be ever so careful to go into every corner, every crevice, and every thought to defend against the forces of evil that came up against me. After 25 years of being far removed from the unpleasantness of prison life, GOD have granted me this opportunity share my obstacles combined with time in life, I had to go through.This type of introspective investigation of myself will permit me to begin to understand what to do with the results my findings within me. Although, it may be a bit strange, but I ask that you tap into your imagination with me . . . come on and join me. Trust me, these teachings from Dr. Ferman’s lived experiences are very serious, but he will also have you bend over in gut busting funny stories. Nevertheless, the backdrop for this book is the Bible, and the purpose for these writing is for Dr. Ferman to lay down his life—telling the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but truth in his life with his Lord and Savior; Jesus Christ.After seven decades of life; crippled by Polio at birth with other known and unknown rare diseases, surviving as an “outsider” in an orphanage environment—about nine half sisters and brothers. Likewise, Dr. Ferman overcame the obstacles of the Philadelphia School System, as well as all the nefarious and devilish ways in the streets of Philadelphia. Then the ten years in prison . . . ten years on parole, stalked (yeah, by a real “devil—she devil,) for fourteen years.However, if it was the goal for “those” in-laws to make my life miserable . . . those first seven years, yes, emphatically yes . . . give yourselves a great round of applause . . . especially Tameeka’s daughter shafair . . . yeah, you, who is still gambling with her mother’s marriage--no Tameeka can not see it! As I stated earlier, ten years in prison, ten years on parole, death-row, and all those other obstacles combined with time in life . . . the worst part of this marriage is having you people as in-laws.Oh no, Twin-Shirley, I am not referring to you, if you had not been there for me . . . yeah, I would have been in Africa a long time ago. DR. FERMAN emphasizing over and over the importance of reading the BIBLE, and how the inevitably grow must take place, because GOD said so. Nevertheless, he is always reminded of where he has been, and how GOD worked it all together for DR. FERMAN's good. A DECADE IN PRISON and A DECADE ON PAROLE.His testifying of how the word of GOD worked in his life . . . On the back of every piece of American currency, we read; "IN GOD WE TRUST" and in just about every hymnal, the hymn; "WHAT A FRIEND WE HAVE IN JESUS." can be found. Therefore, when DR. However, she also enjoy listening to her alumni PASTORS at CAIRN UNIVERSITY; such as the PRESIDENT TODD WILLIAMS. Of course, I have joined my wife many times to learn from these scholarly MEN OF GOD!Although, DR. While researching different pastors and false pastors, DR. FERMAN got stuck . . . paused . . . and started weeping. DR. FERMAN got stuck, got blessed and truly ministered to by REV. HILTON RAWLS, III, and then began to weep. But let me tell you, this young preacher was eleven years old . . . on that particular day, I watched him for the first time.This sagacious young man preaches the truth, and can out preach all the pastors and preachers, I have ever seen. The true Art of Preaching (homiletics) . . . him preaching with "INTEGRITY" and working that BIBLE!DR. FERMAN expresses a hurt for his lost DAUGHTERS. For they think they are rejecting their DAD, but (and I mean but!) they are not truly rejecting their DAD . . . they are rejecting the one that sent their DAD."It is truly amazing, the two DAUGHTERS that I had no real legal ties-- they listened to their DAD, attended a Biblical University, and living a CHRIST CENTERED life. Chapter 12 of Saint John, we are reminded that JESUS has the power to raise the dead. Then, once again, a "man" (Judas Iscariot) used an excuse to stop Mary from anointing JESUS, in preparation for HIS burial. however, the highlight for me is the testimony of JESUS raising Lazarus from the dead. Lazarus is definitely a character who stands out amongst the rest of JESUS' friend. For it is recorded in the 11th chapter that JESUS wept for Lazarus (John 11:35.)The 13th chapter focuses on Peter being fully accepted onto the ministry of JESUS. Then on the other hand, Satan entered into Judas Iscariot (13:27) -- the betrayal. Then Peter is rebuked about his courage, without courage, because he was due to deny JESUS.The 14th chapter is probably the most used scripture used at funeral around the world. Always keeping it real with himself, DR. FERMAN, painfully speaks on the hurt from the realization that he came from a long line of devils and a long line of "bastards."Deuteronomy 23:2: "A bastard shall not enter into the congregation of the LORD; even unto his tenth generation shall he not enter into the congregation of the LORD" (KJV).Deuteronomy 23:2, in some cases, is referred to as the "bastard verse." The "bastard" and his or her offspring was not allowed to really be true members of the family union. Completely, all second hand and third-hand treatment. The "bastard" treatment comes with a feeling of being an un-loved orphan. Hebrews 12:8: "But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons" (KJV).This is another key scripture concerning "bastard-hood," which uses "bastards" as illegitimate children of GOD.FATHERLESS -- not experiencing God's discipline . . . not just lacking earthly fatherly correction.Judges 11:1: Introduces Jephthah as a "mighty warrior" but also "the son of a prostitute," highlighting a prominent figure of potentially illegitimate birth. As a very young child, TAMEEKA admired and enjoyed watching and hearing her mother read to her. Sometimes, TAMEEKA'S mother would tell her many stories without even opening up a book. However, TAMEEKA loved the sound of the turning pages. But she noticed early on in life, that when her mother was turning the pages of the BIBLE, the turning pages has a pleasant and more sweeter sound than the turning of pages in other books. ELLA RUTH STEVENS in which we honor, revere, and created a scholarship in honor of her name. Of course, MRS. STEVENS was an avid reading. The kind of reader that was rarely seen without a book, and would read a book in one sitting.Today, TAMEEKA is a collector of books, especially the "old book." Her book collection (close to 1,000 books) is not all about the BIBLE, but about 95% of her books are BIBLE focused. TAMEEKA learns all that she can about the BIBLES and its contents.TAMEEKA'S husband (DR. FERMAN) started shipping BIBLES from prison in 1994, and since they met and married, together they have sent forth countless of BIBLES. In the ninth chapter of The Gospel According to Saint John, immediately, JESUS opens the eyes of a man that was born physically blind. Yes, it is true that GOD gives us our eyes and our eyesight at birth, but it is JESUS who opens up our spiritual eyesight.As usual, JESUS is opposed by dis-believers . . . the spiritually blind folk!The tenth chapter 10, verses 1-18, JESUS lets us know that HE is the GOOD SHEPHERD, with an expressed warning about false pastors (hirelings.) Those that are of the flock of JESUS know HIS voice, and we listen . . . we ear . . . we obey . . . we live the abundant life . . . and more?Of course, they called JESUS a devil (please listen to JESUS said; YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN, PART 1,2 & 3--earlier episodes ). . . the devil was real in JESUS' day . . . same soup, different day!Chapter 11 holds is the only place in the BIBLE where the scriptures highlights JESUS weeping because HIS friend died. As we enter into this eighth chapter of Saint John, immediately we read that JESUS went into the temple early in the morning to teach. But was rudely interrupted by religious leaders accusing a woman of adultery. The oddity of the situation is that, a person cannot be accused of adultery by themself, but the accusers stated that she was caught in "the very act."Those same accusers called JESUS a liar, they said he had a devil, and wanted to kill JESUS. No matter what JESUS said or any question JESUS answered, those religious leader could not understand the true truth of GOD.As people in today's times, having a from of godliness but deny GOD's power, simply by "not" using GOD's power. There is an electric source of power we use to operate all our home appliances . . . yes, this is in the physical realm. And for the most part, we use electric power all day, everyday.However, in the twelfth verse of chapter eight, JESUS told us that HE is the light of the world . . . yes, this is in the spiritual realm! As a Prisoner of Christ, one of the greatest moments in my walk with Christ is when my eyes glanced upon words, such as the following: "Reading the Bible will not make you sinless, but reading the Bible will help you to sin less, and less, and less . . ."So many truth filled stories and examples; (Psalm 102:18; Romans 15:4; 1st Corinthians 10:11) truths that anyone can apply to their everyday life. Therefore, let's take a closer look at what the MOTHER of JESUS had to say in the 5th verse; "His mother said to the servants, "whatever He says, do it."If you do not think that you are a Servant for CHRIST, then these words may not for you. Simply because, this is the MOTHER of JESUS and she stated; "Whatever He says; whatever JESUS says, we should do it! Well . . . JESUS gave much honor and respect to women, when most men in His day, treated women much like some of these "all types of game playing so-called men " treat women in these days.Look at the story of a woman caught in adultery . . . WINK-WINK! Think with me a minute . . . that woman was not a "self-adulterous adulterous." No, not at all, because, it was a group of "guilty men" . . . Now please take another look and see that every problem a woman has probably comes from "fallen men" . . . just like those fallen angels in Genesis 6:2. Yes; most certainly, a good reason to grow closer to GOD, is to have a relationship with GOD. Think with me for a minute . . . when we meet someone that we like, love, admire, or interested in, we go all out. We do our best to find out everything we can about that person. What size shoes they wear, whether they like pizza, Coke, Fruit Punch, or Pepsi. We may even fall in love with this person, and just want to be with them . . . as "they" say--I want to spend the rest of my life with you . . . the interpretation (in most cases) I want to tell many "lies" to you, for without GOD it is difficult to tell the truth.Sometimes, people be just talking bull feces, and sometimes say things that they do not mean, or even realizing the severity of some of their falsehoods. Sometimes, people don't say what they mean . . . holding it all in until they explode or implode. . . . but GOD always says what HE means and means what HE says; and in John 9:31, GOD makes it make sense, and tells us plainly; GOD DO NOT HEAR SINNERS! However, 2nd Corinthians 6:2 allows us to understand that when we are really ready to receive JESUS CHRIST as your LORD and SAVIOR . . . then and only then will GOD listen to any sinner. So if you think GOD is listening to you, and you have not received JESUS CHRIST as your personal LORD and SAVIOR, you should be able to pull a million dollars worth of pennies out of your left pants pocket.Prayer is simply talking with GOD . . . you talk with everybody else, why not talk to the only one who can truly love you . . . all the time. Dr. Ferman spent the first half of his life as June-bug from North Philadelphia. For 35 years, he lived as a drug-using . . . alcohol-abusing . . . cigarette smoking, as a marijuana toking . . . yeah . . . "rebellious" . . . and rebelliousness led him to be supreme in his stupidity. However, the first evening in prison, a Muslim inmates; Brother Hassan blessed Dr. Ferman with his first Bible. November 28, 2025, marks this day of Dr. Ferman celebrating 35 years of being "born-again," and proclaim "the good news" of Jesus Christ.In the book of Isaiah, we find the following words written;"Shout aloud, do not hold back. Raise your voice like a trumpet. Declare to my people their rebellion . . . (Isa. 58:1.) Dr. Ferman has been known for some shouting, but to the disbelief of some people, his shouts are "shouts of love." Jesus "shouted" at the dead man, and the dead man came forth. Only the Word can call the physically dead, and the spiritual dead back to life.
