According to federal prosecutors, the channels Scammer Payback and Trilogy Media helped investigators identify suspects and understand the structure of a criminal network that allegedly stole about $65 million from elderly Americans. More than 30 defendants have been charged. SpaceX intentionally destroyed 260 Starlink satellites in the first half of 2026 and plans to dispose of hundreds more as part of its normal fleet-upgrade cycle. While the practice helps prevent space debris, scientists are increasingly concerned about the atmospheric effects of repeatedly incinerating large satellites, and a debate is emerging over whether satellite megaconstellations should face stricter environmental oversight.
