Nancy had no paid subscription on the device, meaning there was no cloud backup to recover.Purported ransom notes were sent to media outlets demanding millions in bitcoin. The FBI confirmed no proof of life has been provided and no follow-up communication has occurred. One arrest has been made for a fake ransom demand.
